15The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.” 17 The woman answered him, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to her, “You are right in saying, ‘I have no husband’; 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one you now have is not your husband. What you have said is true.” 19 The woman said to him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship.” 21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”
15그 여자가 말하였다. “선생님, 그 물을 나에게 주셔서, 내가 목마르지도 않고, 또 물을 길으러 여기까지 나오지도 않게 해주십시오.” 16 예수께서 그 여자에게 말씀하셨다. “가서, 네 남편을 불러 오너라.” 17 그 여자가 대답하였다. “나에게는 남편이 없습니다.” 예수께서 여자에게 말씀하셨다. “남편이 없다고 한 말이 옳다. 18 너에게는, 남편이 다섯이나 있었고, 지금 같이 살고 있는 남자도 네 남편이 아니니, 바로 말하였다.” 19 여자가 말하였다. “선생님, 내가 보니, 선생님은 예언자이십니다. 20 우리 조상은 이 산에서 예배를 드렸는데, 선생님네 사람들은 예배드려야 할 곳이 예루살렘에 있다고 합니다.” 21 예수께서 말씀하셨다. “여자여, 내 말을 믿어라. 너희가 아버지께, 이 산에서 예배를 드려야 한다거나, 예루살렘에서 예배를 드려야 한다거나, 하지 않을 때가 올 것이다. 22 너희는 너희가 알지 못하는 것을 예배하고, 우리는 우리가 아는 분을 예배한다. 구원은 유대 사람들에게서 나기 때문이다. 23 참되게 예배를 드리는 사람들이 영과 진리로 아버지께 예배를 드릴 때가 온다. 지금이 바로 그 때이다. 아버지께서는 이렇게 예배를 드리는 사람들을 찾으신다. 24 하나님은 영이시다. 그러므로 하나님께 예배를 드리는 사람은 영과 진리로 예배를 드려야 한다.” 25 여자가 예수께 말했다. “나는 그리스도라고 하는 메시아가 오실 것을 압니다. 그가 오시면, 우리에게 모든 것을 알려 주실 것입니다.” 26 예수께서 말씀하셨다. “너에게 말하고 있는 내가 그다.”
