14They lift up their voices, they sing for joy; over the majesty of the LORD they shout from the west. 15 Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; in the coastlands of the sea, give glory to the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. 16 From the ends of the earth we hear songs of praise, of glory to the Righteous One. But I say, “I waste away, I waste away. Woe is me! For the traitors have betrayed, with betrayal the traitors have betrayed.” 17 Terror and the pit and the snare are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth! 18 He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble. 19 The earth is utterly broken, the earth is split apart, the earth is violently shaken. 20 The earth staggers like a drunken man; it sways like a hut; its transgression lies heavy upon it, and it falls, and will not rise again. 21 On that day the LORD will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth. 22 They will be gathered together as prisoners in a pit; they will be shut up in a prison, and after many days they will be punished. 23 Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the LORD of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders.
14살아남은 사람들은 소리를 높이고, 기뻐서 외칠 것이다. 서쪽에서는 사람들이 주님의 크신 위엄을 말하고, 15 동쪽에서는 사람들이 주님께 영광을 돌릴 것이다. 바다의 모든 섬에서는 사람들이 주 이스라엘의 하나님의 이름을 찬양할 것이다. 16 땅 끝에서부터 노래하는 소리 “의로우신 분께 영광을 돌리세!” 하는 찬양을 우리가 들을 것이다. 그러나 갑자기 나는 절망에 사로잡혔다. 이런 변이 있나! 이런 변이 또 어디에 있단 말인가! 나에게 재앙이 닥쳤구나! 약탈자들이 약탈한다. 약탈자들이 마구 약탈한다. 17 땅에 사는 사람들아, 무서운 일과 함정과 올가미가 너를 기다리고 있다. 18 무서운 소리를 피하여 달아나는 사람은 함정에 빠지고, 함정 속에서 기어 나온 사람은 올가미에 걸릴 것이다. 하늘의 홍수 문들이 열리고, 땅의 기초가 흔들린다. 19 땅덩이가 여지없이 부스러지며, 땅이 아주 갈라지고, 땅이 몹시 흔들린다. 20 땅이 술 취한 자처럼 몹시 비틀거린다. 폭풍 속의 오두막처럼 흔들린다. 세상은 자기가 지은 죄의 무게에 짓눌릴 것이니, 쓰러져서 다시는 일어나지 못할 것이다. 21 그 날이 오면, 주님께서, 위로는 하늘의 군대를 벌하시고, 아래로는 땅에 있는 세상의 군왕들을 벌하실 것이다. 22 주님께서 군왕들을 죄수처럼 토굴 속에 모으시고, 오랫동안 감옥에 가두어 두셨다가 처형하실 것이다. 23 만군의 주님께서 왕이 되실 터이니, 달은 볼 낯이 없어 하고, 해는 부끄러워할 것이다. 주님께서 시온 산에 앉으셔서 예루살렘을 다스릴 것이며, 장로들은 그 영광을 볼 것이다.
