1When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. 5 The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark300 cubits, its breadth50 cubits, and its height30 cubits. 16 Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks. 17 For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive. 21 Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up. It shall serve as food for you and for them.” 22 Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.
1사람들이 땅 위에 늘어나기 시작하더니, 그들에게서 딸들이 태어났다. 2 하나님의 아들들이 사람의 딸들의 아름다움을 보고, 저마다 자기들의 마음에 드는 여자를 아내로 삼았다. 3 주님께서 말씀하셨다. “생명을 주는 나의 영이 사람 속에 영원히 머물지는 않을 것이다. 사람은 살과 피를 지닌 육체요, 그들의 날은 백이십 년이다.” 4 그 무렵에, 그 후에도 얼마 동안, 땅 위에는 네피림이라고 하는 거인족이 있었다. 그들은 하나님의 아들들과 사람의 딸들 사이에서 태어난 자식들이었다. 그들은 옛날에 있던 용사들로서 유명한 사람들이었다. 5 주님께서는, 사람의 죄악이 세상에 가득 차고, 마음에 생각하는 모든 계획이 언제나 악한 것뿐임을 보시고서, 6 땅 위에 사람 지으셨음을 후회하시며 마음 아파 하셨다. 7 주님께서는 탄식하셨다. “내가 창조한 것이지만, 사람을 이 땅 위에서 쓸어버리겠다. 사람뿐 아니라, 짐승과 땅 위를 기어 다니는 것과 공중의 새까지 그렇게 하겠다. 그것들을 만든 것이 후회되는구나.” 8 그러나 노아만은 주님께 은혜를 입었다. 9 노아의 역사는 이러하다. 노아는 그 당대에 의롭고 흠이 없는 사람이었다. 노아는 하나님과 동행하는 사람이었다. 10 노아는 셈과 함과 야벳, 이렇게 세 아들을 두었다. 11 하나님이 보시니, 세상이 썩었고, 무법천지가 되어 있었다. 12 하나님이 땅을 보시니, 썩어 있었다. 살과 피를 지니고 땅 위에서 사는 모든 사람들의 삶이 속속들이 썩어 있었다. 13 하나님이 노아에게 말씀하셨다. “땅은 사람들 때문에 무법천지가 되었고, 그 끝날이 이르렀으니, 내가 반드시 사람과 땅을 함께 멸하겠다. 14 너는 잣나무로 방주 한 척을 만들어라. 방주 안에 방을 여러 칸 만들고, 역청을 안팎에 칠하여라. 15 그 방주는 이렇게 만들어라. 길이는 삼백 자, 너비는 쉰 자, 높이는 서른 자로 하고, 16 그 방주에는 지붕을 만들되, 한 자 치켜올려서 덮고, 방주의 옆쪽에는 출입문을 내고, 위층과 가운데층과 아래층으로 나누어서 세 층으로 만들어라. 17 내가 이제 땅 위에 홍수를 일으켜서, 하늘 아래에서 살아 숨 쉬는 살과 피를 지닌 모든 것을 쓸어 없앨 터이니, 땅에 있는 것들은 모두 죽을 것이다. 18 그러나 너하고는, 내가 직접 언약을 세우겠다. 너는 아들들과 아내와 며느리들을 모두 데리고 방주로 들어가거라. 19 살과 피를 지닌 모든 짐승도 수컷과 암컷으로 한 쌍씩 방주로 데리고 들어가서, 너와 함께 살아남게 하여라. 20 새도 그 종류대로, 집짐승도 그 종류대로, 땅에 기어 다니는 온갖 길짐승도 그 종류대로, 모두 두 마리씩 너에게로 올 터이니, 살아남게 하여라. 21 그리고 너는 먹을 수 있는 모든 먹거리를 가져다가 쌓아 두어라. 이것은, 너와 함께 있는 사람들과 짐승들의 먹거리가 될 것이다.” 22 노아는 하나님이 명하신 대로 다 하였다. 꼭 그대로 하였다.
