20Then Hezekiah the king rose early and gathered the officials of the city and went up to the house of the LORD. 21 And they brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats for a sin offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. And he commanded the priests, the sons of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the LORD. 22 So they slaughtered the bulls, and the priests received the blood and threw it against the altar. And they slaughtered the rams, and their blood was thrown against the altar. And they slaughtered the lambs, and their blood was thrown against the altar. 23 Then the goats for the sin offering were brought to the king and the assembly, and they laid their hands on them, 24 and the priests slaughtered them and made a sin offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel. For the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel. 25 And he stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, harps, and lyres, according to the commandment of David and of Gad the king's seer and of Nathan the prophet, for the commandment was from the LORD through his prophets. 26 The Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. 27 Then Hezekiah commanded that the burnt offering be offered on the altar. And when the burnt offering began, the song to the LORD began also, and the trumpets, accompanied by the instruments of David king of Israel. 28 The whole assembly worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded. All this continued until the burnt offering was finished. 29 When the offering was finished, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped. 30 And Hezekiah the king and the officials commanded the Levites to sing praises to the LORD with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed down and worshiped. 31 Then Hezekiah said, “You have now consecrated yourselves to the LORD. Come near; bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the house of the LORD.” And the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all who were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings. 32 The number of the burnt offerings that the assembly brought was70 bulls,100 rams, and200 lambs; all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD. 33 And the consecrated offerings were600 bulls and3,000 sheep. 34 But the priests were too few and could not flay all the burnt offerings, so until other priests had consecrated themselves, their brothers the Levites helped them, until the work was finished—for the Levites were more upright in heart than the priests in consecrating themselves. 35 Besides the great number of burnt offerings, there was the fat of the peace offerings, and there were the drink offerings for the burnt offerings. Thus the service of the house of the LORD was restored. 36 And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced because God had provided for the people, for the thing came about suddenly.
20히스기야 왕은, 다음날 아침에 일찍 일어나서, 도성에 있는 대신들을 불러 모아, 주님의 성전으로 올라갔다. 21 왕가의 죄와 유다 백성의 죄를 속죄받으려고, 그는 황소 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리와 어린 양 일곱 마리와 숫염소 일곱 마리를 끌어다가, 속죄제물을 삼고, 아론의 혈통을 이어받은 제사장들에게 명령하여, 주님의 단에 드리게 하였다. 22 사람들이 먼저 황소를 잡으니, 제사장들이 그 피를 받아 제단에 뿌리고, 다음에는 숫양을 잡아 그 피를 제단에 뿌리고, 다음에 어린 양을 잡아 그 피를 제단에 뿌렸다. 23 마지막으로, 속죄제물로 드릴 숫염소를 왕과 회중 앞으로 끌어오니, 그들이 그 위에 손을 얹고, 24 제사장들이 제물을 잡아, 그 피를 속죄제물로 제단에 부어서, 온 이스라엘의 죄를 속죄하였으니, 이것은, 번제와 속죄제를 드려서, 온 이스라엘을 속하라는 어명이 있었기 때문이었다. 25 왕은, 주님께서 다윗 왕에게 지시하신 대로, 레위 사람들을 시켜서, 주님의 성전에서 심벌즈와 거문고와 수금을 연주하게 하였다. 이것은 주님께서 다윗 왕의 선견자 갓과 나단 예언자를 시켜서, 다윗 왕에게 명령하신 것이었다. 26 그리하여 레위 사람들은 다윗이 만든 악기를 잡고, 제사장들은 나팔을 잡았다. 27 히스기야가 번제를 제단에 드리라고 명령하니, 번제가 시작되는 것과 함께, 주님께 드리는 찬양과, 나팔 소리와 이스라엘의 다윗 왕이 만든 악기 연주 소리가 울려 퍼졌다. 28 온 회중이 함께 예배를 드렸다. 번제를 다 드리기까지 노래하는 사람들은 노래를 부르고, 나팔 부는 사람들은 나팔을 불었다. 29 제사를 마친 다음에, 왕과 온 회중이 다 엎드려 경배하였다. 30 그렇게 하고 난 다음에, 히스기야 왕과 대신들이 레위 사람들을 시켜서, 다윗과 아삽 선견자가 지은 시로 주님을 찬송하게 하니, 그들은 즐거운 마음으로 찬송하고, 몸을 굽혀 경배하였다. 31 히스기야가 나서서 “이제 제사장들이 몸을 깨끗하게 하여서, 주님께 거룩하게 구별되었습니다. 그러므로 백성들은 가까이 나아와, 제물과 감사제물을 주님의 성전으로 가지고 오십시오” 하고 선포하니, 드디어 회중이 제물과 감사제물을 가져 왔다. 더러는 그들의 마음에 내키는 대로 번제물을 가져 오기도 하였다. 32 회중이 가져 온 번제물의 수는, 수소가 칠십 마리, 숫양이 백 마리, 어린 양이 이백 마리였다. 이것은 다 주님께 번제물로 드리는 것이었다. 33 번제물과는 달리 구별하여 드린 제물은, 소가 육백 마리, 양이 삼천 마리였다. 34 그런데 번제로 바칠 짐승을 다 잡아 가죽을 벗기기에는 제사장의 수가 너무 모자라서, 이 일을 끝낼 때까지, 성결 예식을 마친 제사장들이 보강될 때까지, 제사장들의 친족인 레위 사람들이 제물 잡는 일을 거들었다. 사실, 자신들의 성결을 지키는 일에는, 제사장들보다는 레위 사람들이 더욱 성실하였다. 35 제사장들은, 제물을 다 태워 바치는 번제물도 바쳐야 할 뿐 아니라, 이 밖에도 화목제물로 바치는 기름기도 태워 바쳐야 하였다. 번제와 함께 드리는, 부어 드리는 제사도 제사장들이 맡아서 하였다. 이렇게 하여, 주님의 성전에서 예배를 드리는 일이 다시 시작되었다. 36 일이 이렇듯이 갑작스럽게 되었어도, 하나님이 백성을 도우셔서 잘 되도록 하셨으므로, 히스기야와 백성이 함께 기뻐하였다.
