[A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A Prayer.] 1 With my voice I cry out to the LORD; with my voice I plead for mercy to the LORD. 2 I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him. 3 When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me. 4 Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul. 5 I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” 6 Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me! 7 Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.

1나는 소리를 높여서 주님께 부르짖는다. 나는 소리를 높여서 주님께 애원한다. 2 내 억울함을 주님께 호소하고, 내 고통을 주님께 아뢴다. 3 내 영혼이 연약할 때에 주님은 내 갈 길을 아십니다. 사람들은 나를 잡으려고 내가 가는 길에 덫을 놓았습니다. 4 아무리 둘러보아도 나를 도울 사람이 없고, 내가 피할 곳이 없고, 나를 지켜 줄 사람이 없습니다. 5 주님, 내가 주님께 부르짖습니다. “주님은 나의 피난처, 사람 사는 세상에서 내가 받은 분깃은 주님뿐”이라고 하였습니다. 6 나는 너무 비참하게 되었습니다. 내가 이렇게 부르짖으니, 내게 귀를 기울여 주십시오. 나를 핍박하는 자들에게서, 나를 건져 주십시오. 그들이 나보다 강합니다. 7 내 영혼을 감옥에서 끌어내 주셔서, 주님의 이름을 찬양하게 해주십시오. 주님께서 내게 넘치는 은혜를 베푸시니, 의인들이 나를 감싸 줄 것입니다.
