GIFTS REPURPOSED BY GOD		하나님께서 새롭게 사용하시는 은사
[ Exodus 4:1 - 4:11 ] - hymn 338 Then the LORD asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied. [ EXODUS 4:2 NLT ] Captain Tim Mullane diligently worked at sinking the SS United States—a massive ocean liner. In fact, he was paid to send it down to the depths. Mullane repurposes ships from sailing the seven seas to serving as instant artificial reefs on the ocean floor. Sunken vessels provide attractive destinations for scuba divers and help protect coastlines as they curb the erosion of beaches. While no longer riding ocean waves, the ships continue to provide value lying far beneath them. Moses’ shepherd’s staff was repurposed for something that would prove to be invaluable for the Israelites. God asked him, “What is that in your hand?” Moses replied, “A shepherd’s staff” (EXODUS 4:2 NLT). Moses cared for sheep for forty years (ACTS 7:29-30), but his staff would now be used to shepherd his people out of Egypt. The staff was a symbol of God’s working through Moses, and as he “[performed] the signs with it” (EXODUS 4:17), God’s power was revealed. As Moses stretched out his “staff toward the sky” God rained hail on Egypt (9:23) and later allowed the Israelites to pass through “the sea on dry ground” (14:16). God repurposed Moses’ staff and role to accomplish His pur-poses. He’ll often use our gifts and talents in fresh ways too. How might He be using your “staff” in a new way during this season of life? TOM FELTEN		[ 출애굽기 4:1 - 4:11 ] - 찬송가 338 장 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 네 손에 있는 것이 무엇이냐 그가 이르되 지팡이니이다 [출애굽기 4:2 ] 팀 멀레인 선장은 ‘SS 유나이티드 스테이츠호’라는 거대한 여객선을 바다에 가라앉히는 일에 부지런히 매달렸습니다. 실제로 그는 배를 바다 밑바닥으로 깊이 가라앉히는 일을 하고 보수를 받습니다. 멀레인 선장은 7대양을 항해하던 선박들을 가라앉혀 해저에서 인공 암초 역할을 하도록 용도를 변경하는 일을 합니다. 이렇게 가라앉은 선박들은 스쿠버 다이버들에게 매력적인 탐험 장소가 되고, 해변 침식을 억제하여 해안선을 보호하는 데 도움을 줍니다. 이 배들은 더 이상 파도를 헤치며 항해하지는 않지만, 바다 깊은 곳에 누워서도 계속해서 가치 있는 역할을 다하고 있습니다. 모세의 지팡이도 이스라엘 백성에게 매우 귀중하게 쓰이는 도구로 용도가 바뀌었습니다. 하나님께서 모세에게 “네 손에 있는 것이 무엇이냐”고 물으시자, 모세는 양을 치는데 사용한 “지팡이니이다”라고 대답했습니다(출애굽기 4:2). 모세는 40년 동안 양을 쳤지만(사도행전 7:29-30), 이제 그의 지팡이는 하나님의 백성을 애굽으로부터 인도해 내는 목자의 도구로 사용될 것입니다. 그 지팡이는 하나님께서 모세를 통해 역사하신다는 상징이 되었고, 모세가 “그것으로 이적들을 행할 때”(출애굽기 4:17) 하나님의 능력이 나타났습니다. 모세가 “지팡이를 하늘을 향하여” 높이 들면 하나님께서는 애굽 땅에 우박을 내리셨고 (9:23), 나중에는 이스라엘 백성이 “바다 가운데 육지로 행하게” 하셨습니다 (14:16). 하나님께서는 당신의 목적을 이루시기 위해 모세의 지팡이와 그의 역할을 새롭게 사용하신 것입니다. 하나님께서는 우리의 은사와 재능도 종종 전혀 새로운 방식으로 사용하시곤 합니다. 여러분이 지금 맞고 있는 인생의 시기에서 하나님께서는 여러분의 “지팡이”를 어떤 새로운 방식으로 사용하실까요?

Loving God, please help me see how You’re using my gifts and talents in fresh ways.

1 Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you’?”

2 Then the LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” “A staff,” he replied.

3 The LORD said, “Throw it on the ground.” Moses threw it on the ground and it became a snake, and he ran from it.

4 Then the LORD said to him, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail.” So Moses reached out and took hold of the snake and it turned back into a staff in his hand.

5 “This,” said the LORD, “is so that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has appeared to you.”

10 Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

11 The LORD said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

1 모세가 대답하여 이르되 그러나 그들이 나를 믿지 아니하며 내 말을 듣지 아니하고 이르기를 여호와께서 네게 나타나지 아니하셨다 하리이다

2 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 네 손에 있는 것이 무엇이냐 그가 이르되 지팡이니이다

3 여호와께서 이르시되 그것을 땅에 던지라 하시매 곧 땅에 던지니 그것이 뱀이 된지라 모세가 뱀 앞에서 피하매

4 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 네 손을 내밀어 그 꼬리를 잡으라 그가 손을 내밀어 그것을 잡으니 그의 손에서 지팡이가 된지라

5 이는 그들에게 그들의 조상의 하나님 곧 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님 여호와가 네게 나타난 줄을 믿게 하려 함이라 하시고

10 ○모세가 여호와께 아뢰되 오 주여 나는 본래 말을 잘 하지 못하는 자니이다 주께서 주의 종에게 명령하신 후에도 역시 그러하니 나는 입이 뻣뻣하고 혀가 둔한 자니이다

11 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 누가 사람의 입을 지었느냐 누가 말 못 하는 자나 못 듣는 자나 눈 밝은 자나 맹인이 되게 하였느냐 나 여호와가 아니냐
