REJUVENATING REST		활기를 되찾는 휴식
[ Hebrews 4:1 - 4:11 ] - hymn 546 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish. [ HEBREWS 4:11 ] During a birthday party, five-year-old Mia enjoyed playing, singing “Happy Birthday,” eating cake, and watching her friend open gifts. When everyone went outside to play, Mia said, “Mom, I’m ready to go.” They thanked their host. Pulling out of the driveway, Mia’s mom asked her to share the best part of her day. “Leaving,” said Mia. Smiling, she fell asleep before they turned the corner. Even if we don’t realize we’re exhausted, we all need physical, mental, and emotional rest. God also provides divine rest when we accept both the good news of salvation through Christ and daily spiritual rest as the Spirit enables us to live for Christ by faith. Those who place their trust in God can depend on His unending presence, unlimited power, and unchanging promises. Saved through Christ’s work on the cross, we can rest in the peace of His sufficiency (HEBREWS 4:1-4). We can experience divine rest as a guarantee fulfilled eternally now and when Jesus comes again (VV. 5-8). “Anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his” (V. 10). So, secured in Christ, we can enjoy a hope-filled life of surrender and loving obedience as we trust and rely on Him. Only He can provide rejuvenating rest yesterday and today and forever. XOCHITL DIXON		[ 히브리서 4:1 - 4:11 ] - 찬송가 546 장 그러므로 우리가 저 안식에 들어가기를 힘쓸지니 이는 누구든지 저 순종하지 아니하는 본에 빠지지 않게 하려 함이라 [히브리서 4:11] 5살의 미아는 자기 생일 파티에서 놀고, 생일 축하 노래를 부르고, 케이크를 먹고, 친구가 선물 여는 것을 보며 즐거운 시간을 가졌습니다. 모두가 밖에 놀러 나가자 미아는 “엄마, 이제 집에 가요.”라고 말했습니다. 미아와 엄마는 파티를 열어준 분에게 감사를 표했습니다. 미아 엄마가 차를 빼면서 오늘 무엇이 제일 좋았냐고 물었습니다. “집에 가는 거요.”라고 미아가 대답했습니다. 미소를 지으며 미아는 차를 돌리기도 전에 잠이 들었습니다. 우리는 지친 것을 잘 느끼지 못해도, 누구나 몸과 마음과 정서의 휴식이 필요합니다. 하나님도 우리가 그리스도를 통한 구원의 복음을 받아들일 때 거룩한 휴식을 주실 뿐 아니라, 성령님의 도우심으로 믿음으로 그리스도를 위해 살 때에 매일의 영적 안식을 주십니다. 하나님을 신뢰하는 사람들은 그의 영원한 임재와 무한한 능력과 변치 않는 약속에 의지할 수 있습니다. 그리스도의 십자가 사역을 통해 구원받은 우리는 하나님의 풍성한 평안 가운데 쉴 수 있습니다 (히브리서 4:1-4). 우리는 지금과 그리고 예수님이 다시 오실 때에(5-8절) 영원히 보장된 거룩한 안식을 누릴 수 있습니다. “이미 그의 안식에 들어간 자는 하나님이 자기 일을 쉬심과 같이 자기 일을 쉬느니라”(10절)고 하셨습니다. 그러므로 그리스도 안에서 안전한 우리는 예수님을 믿고 의지할 때 자신을 내려놓고 사랑으로 순종하는 희망찬 삶을 살 수 있습니다. 오직 예수님만이 어제와 오늘, 그리고 영원히 우리에게 새 힘이 되는 안식을 주실 수 있습니다.

How does believing God enable you to rest in the surety of your salvation and rest physically, emotionally, and mentally each day?
What has kept you from resting in God’s promises in the past?

Faithful God, thank You for being my enduring resting place.

1 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.

3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, “So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ” And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world.

4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”

6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,

7 God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”

9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.

11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.

하나님을 믿는 것이 어떻게 매일 구원의 확신 속에서 육체적, 정서적, 정신적 안식을 가능하게 합니까?
이전에 하나님의 약속 안에서 쉼을 누리지 못했던 이유가 무엇입니까?

신실하신 하나님, 저의 영원한 안식처가 되어 주셔서 감사합니다.

1 그러므로 우리는 두려워할지니 그의 안식에 들어갈 약속이 남아 있을지라도 너희 중에는 혹 이르지 못할 자가 있을까 함이라

2 그들과 같이 우리도 복음 전함을 받은 자이나 들은 바 그 말씀이 그들에게 유익하지 못한 것은 듣는 자가 믿음과 결부시키지 아니함이라

3 이미 믿는 우리들은 저 안식에 들어가는도다 그가 말씀하신 바와 같으니 내가 노하여 맹세한 바와 같이 그들이 내 안식에 들어오지 못하리라 하셨다 하였으나 세상을 창조할 때부터 그 일이 이루어졌느니라

4 제칠일에 관하여는 어딘가에 이렇게 일렀으되 하나님은 제칠일에 그의 모든 일을 쉬셨다 하였으며

6 그러면 거기에 들어갈 자들이 남아 있거니와 복음 전함을 먼저 받은 자들은 순종하지 아니함으로 말미암아 들어가지 못하였으므로

7 오랜 후에 다윗의 글에 다시 어느 날을 정하여 오늘이라고 미리 이같이 일렀으되 오늘 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 너희 마음을 완고하게 하지 말라 하였나니

9 그런즉 안식할 때가 하나님의 백성에게 남아 있도다

10 이미 그의 안식에 들어간 자는 하나님이 자기의 일을 쉬심과 같이 그도 자기의 일을 쉬느니라

11 그러므로 우리가 저 안식에 들어가기를 힘쓸지니 이는 누구든지 저 순종하지 아니하는 본에 빠지지 않게 하려 함이라
