HUMBLE SACRIFICE		겸손한 희생
[ 1 Chronicles 17:16 - 17:22 ] - hymn 212 Who am I, Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far? [ 1 CHRONICLES 17:16 ] A pilot and his two daughters took off from Soldotna, Alaska, on a sightseeing trip. Their small plane, however, never made it to its destination. After several local pilots began searching for the missing aircraft, one named Terry Godes finally spied its nearly submerged wreckage on a partially frozen lake. The three family members were standing on its wings as they had been for hours. Thankfully, the trio was soon rescued by the National Guard. Godes humbly sacrificed his time and resources for others—leading to lives being saved. In humility, he said of his efforts, “I was just the guy that saw the plane first.” King David sacrificed much for the people of Israel, including battling to save them from their enemies (1 CHRONICLES 14:8-17). Then he heard from the prophet Nathan that through his blood-line a throne would be “established forever,” as fulfilled in Christ (17:14; SEE LUKE 1:30-33). He replied in humility, “Who am I, Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?” (1 CHRONICLES 17:16). He knew that his life was established by God and His will (V. 19) and that He had ultimately done the work of rescue and redemption for David and his people (VV. 20-22). Jesus “humbled himself” and made the ultimate sacrifice for us (PHILIPPIANS 2:8). As He helps us, let’s humbly sacrifice our lives for others. TOM FELTEN		[ 역대상 17:16 - 17:22 ] - 찬송가 212 장 여호와 하나님이여 나는 누구이오며 내 집은 무엇이기에 나에게 이에 이르게 하셨나이까 [역대상 17:16] 한 조종사가 두 딸과 함께 관광을 하기 위해 알래스카 솔도트나에서 이륙 했습니다. 하지만 이들이 탄 소형 비행기는 목적지에 도착하지 못했 습니다. 몇 명의 현지 조종사들이 실종된 그 비행기를 찾아 나섰는데 그 중 테리 고즈라는 조종사가 마침내 부분적으로 얼어있는 호수에 거의 잠겨있다시피 한 그 기체를 발견했습니다. 세 명의 가족은 비행기 날개 위에 몇 시간째 그렇게 서 있었습니다. 다행히 세 사람은 주 방위군에 의해 곧 구조되었습니다. 고즈는 묵묵히 자기 시간과 자원을 들인 결과 다른 사람의 생명을 구하게 되었습니다. 그는 자신이 한 일에 대해 “나는 그저 그 비행기를 먼저 본 사람일 뿐입니다.” 라고 겸손히 말했습니다. 다윗 왕은 적으로부터 이스라엘 백성들을 구하기 위해 싸우는 등 많은 희생을 감수했습니다(역대상 14:8-17). 그래서 다윗은 나단 선지자로부터 그의 혈통을 통해 그 왕좌가 그리스도 안에서 성취된 바와 같이 “영원히 견고하리라”는 말을 들었습니다(17:14; 누가복음 1:30-33 참조). 그는 겸손히 “여호와 하나님이여 나는 누구이오며 내 집은 무엇이기에 나에게 이에 이르게 하셨나이까”라고 대답했습니다(역대상 17:16). 그는 자신의 삶이 하나님의 뜻에 따라 세워졌고 (19절), 궁극적으로 하나님께서 다윗과 그의 백성을 위한 구원과 구속의 역사를 이루셨음을 알고 있었습니다(20-22절). 예수님은 “자기를 낮추시고” 우리를 위해 궁극적인 희생을 하셨습니다 (빌립보서 2:8). 예수님의 도우심을 받아 우리도 겸손하게 다른 사람들을 위해 희생합시다.

16 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: “Who am I, LORD God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?

17 And as if this were not enough in your sight, my God, you have spoken about the future of the house of your servant. You, LORD God, have looked on me as though I were the most exalted of men.

18 “What more can David say to you for honoring your servant? For you know your servant,

19 LORD. For the sake of your servant and according to your will, you have done this great thing and made known all these great promises.

20 “There is no one like you, Lord, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.

21 And who is like your people Israel—the one nation on earth whose God went out to redeem a people for himself, and to make a name for yourself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?

22 You made your people Israel your very own forever, and you, LORD, have become their God.

하나님 앞에서 겸손이 왜 그렇게 중요합니까?
다른 사람들을 위해 겸손히 희생한다는 것은 당신에게 어떤 의미입니까?

사랑의 하나님, 하나님과 다른 사람들을 위해 겸손하게 희생할 수 있도록 저를 도와주소서.

16 ○다윗 왕이 여호와 앞에 들어가 앉아서 이르되 여호와 하나님이여 나는 누구이오며 내 집은 무엇이기에 나에게 이에 이르게 하셨나이까

17 하나님이여 주께서 이것을 오히려 작게 여기시고 또 종의 집에 대하여 먼 장래까지 말씀하셨사오니 여호와 하나님이여 나를 존귀한 자들 같이 여기셨나이다

18 주께서 주의 종에게 베푸신 영예에 대하여 이 다윗이 다시 주께 무슨 말을 하오리이까 주께서는 주의 종을 아시나이다

19 여호와여 주께서 주의 종을 위하여 주의 뜻대로 이 모든 큰 일을 행하사 이 모든 큰 일을 알게 하셨나이다

20 여호와여 우리 귀로 들은 대로는 주와 같은 이가 없고 주 외에는 하나님이 없나이다

21 땅의 어느 한 나라가 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으리이까 하나님이 자기 백성을 구속하시려고 나가사 크고 두려운 일로 말미암아 이름을 얻으시고 애굽에서 구속하신 자기 백성 앞에서 모든 민족을 쫓아내셨사오며

22 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘을 영원히 주의 백성으로 삼으셨사오니 여호와여 주께서 그들의 하나님이 되셨나이다
