CAN WE LIVE FOREVER?		영원히 살 수 있을까요?
[ Acts 17:29 - 17:34 ] - hymn 425 When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered. [ ACTS 17:32 ] It’s risky to venture into the comments section of online news sites. Risky, but fascinating. Commenting on an interview with a millionaire endeavoring to live forever in this life, one reader posted this from Matthew 16:25: “ ‘Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.’ — Jesus.” Reacting to that comment, another reader posted, “Wasn’t there a book written about Him? ” To which a third reader replied, “Yes, fiction.” There are always those who will mock belief in Jesus. When the apostle Paul stood in a public forum to tell a large group of Athenians about Christ, results were mixed. “When they heard abouttheresurrection ofthedead,someofthemsneered”(ACTS17:32). Others, however, said, “We want to hear you again on this subject” (V. 32). And some believed (V. 34). How others respond to the truth of the Bible is between them and God. But it’s the claim that we can live forever in this life that’s fiction. Our bodies are destined to die. In contrast, the Bible tells us of the one who is “the way and the truth and the life” (JOHN 14:6). Like Paul, it’s our task is to share with anyone who will listen what this Man has done for us. We can trust the Holy Spirit to do the rest. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

32 When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, “We want to hear you again on this subject.”

33 At that, Paul left the Council.

34 Some of the people became followers of Paul and believed. Among them was Dionysius, a member of the Areopagus, also a woman named Damaris, and a number of others.

사람들이 당신의 믿음을 조롱할 때 어떤 느낌이 듭니까?

29 이와 같이 하나님의 소생이 되었은즉 하나님을 금이나 은이나 돌에다 사람의 기술과 고안으로 새긴 것들과 같이 여길 것이 아니니라

30 알지 못하던 시대에는 하나님이 간과하셨거니와 이제는 어디든지 사람에게 다 명하사 회개하라 하셨으니

31 이는 정하신 사람으로 하여금 천하를 공의로 심판할 날을 작정하시고 이에 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살리신 것으로 모든 사람에게 믿을 만한 증거를 주셨음이니라 하니라

32 그들이 죽은 자의 부활을 듣고 어떤 사람은 조롱도 하고 어떤 사람은 이 일에 대하여 네 말을 다시 듣겠다 하니

33 이에 바울이 그들 가운데서 떠나매

34 몇 사람이 그를 가까이하여 믿으니 그 중에는 아레오바고 관리 디오누시오와 다마리라 하는 여자와 또 다른 사람들도 있었더라
