THE WARMHEARTED CHURCH		따뜻한 교회 공동체
[ Acts 2:42 - 2:47 ] - hymn 208 Every day they continued to meet together. [ ACTS 2:46 ] When I was a child, I gladly accompanied my family to church every Sunday morning and evening. Our pastor exuded joy and always included the children in the service—and even encouraged my writing. My Sunday school teachers and pas-tor instilled in me a love for Scripture. And Sunday nights often meant a guest speaker or missionary who stirred my heart toward missions. Our church truly earned the slogan our pastor created: “The warmhearted church on Coldwater Road.” It wasn’t perfect, but we were a family. Since that day, I’ve continued attending church (even when it was hard to find the right one), and I’ve been encouraged and have grown in my faith as a result. Just as we do today, believers in Jesus in the early church needed support and encouragement, and they understood the importance of meeting together with fellow believers (ACTS 2:46). They were a family. Together they built each other up when doing life and serv-ing God became difficult. They gathered to pray, study Scripture, praise God, enjoy fellowship, and eat meals together (V. 42). As a result, God caused their numbers to grow (V. 47). Finding a like-minded church may take time, but it’s vital. Life is difficult to face on our own, and that’s why God gave us families and communities. A church is a great place to build community. ALYSON KIEDA		[ 사도행전 2:42 - 2:47 ] - 찬송가 208 장 날마다 마음을 같이하여 성전에 모이기를 힘쓰고 [사도행전 2:46] 어린 시절, 나는 주일 아침과 저녁마다 가족과 함께 기쁜 마음으로 교회에 갔습니다. 우리 목사님은 늘 기쁨이 넘치는 분이셨고, 항상 아이들을 예배에 참여시켰으며, 심지어 내 글쓰기까지 격려해 주었습니다. 주일 학교 교사들과 목사님은 내게 성경을 사랑하는 마음을 심어 주신 것입니다. 주일 저녁이면 초청 강사나 선교사가 와서 선교에 대한 열정을 마음에 불러 일으켜 주었습니다. 우리 교회는 목사님이 만든 “콜드워터 로드에 위치한 따뜻한 마음의 교회”라는 표어에 걸맞는 교회 공동체였습니다. 완벽하지는 않았지만 우리는 한 가족이었습니다. 그 후 나는 적당한 교회를 찾기 어려운 시기에도 교회를 계속 다녔고, 그 결과, 신앙 안에서 위로를 얻고 내 믿음도 성장할 수 있었 습니다. 초대교회의 성도들도 오늘날의 우리와 마찬가지로, 지지와 격려가 필요 했으며, 믿음의 식구들과 함께 모이는 것의 중요성을 잘 알고 있었습니다(사도행전 2:46). 그들은 가족이었습니다. 세상살이와 하나님을 섬기는 일이 힘들어질 때면 그들은 함께하며 서로를 든든히 붙들어 주었습니다. 그들은 모여서 기도하고, 말씀을 배우며, 하나님을 찬양하고, 교제하며, 음식을 나누었습니다(42절). 그 결과 하나님께서는 날마다 구원받는 사람들이 늘어나게 하셨습니다(47절). 마음이 맞는 교회를 찾는데 시간이 걸릴 수 있지만, 그것은 매우 중요한 일입니다. 인생은 혼자 힘으로 헤쳐나가기 어렵습니다. 그래서 하나님께서 우리에게 가족을 이루게 하고 교회 공동체를 주신 것입니다. 교회야 말로 그러한 공동체를 이루기에 더없이 좋은 곳입니다.

Dear God, thank You for giving me Your church, where I can learn more about You and be encouraged.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.

44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.

45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,

47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

47 하나님을 찬미하며 또 온 백성에게 칭송을 받으니 주께서 구원 받는 사람을 날마다 더하게 하시니라
