17But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” 19 It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. 24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
17사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 사도들이 예고한 그 말을 기억하십시오. 18 그들은 여러분에게 말하기를, “마지막 때에는 여러분을 조롱하는 자들이 나타나서, 자기들의 경건하지 못한 욕정을 따라 살 것입니다” 하였습니다. 19 이 사람들은 분열을 일으키는 자들이며, 성령을 받지 않고 본능대로 사는 자들입니다. 20 그러나 사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 가장 거룩한 여러분의 믿음을 터로 삼아서 자기를 건축하고, 성령으로 기도하십시오. 21 하나님의 사랑 안에 머무르면서 자기를 지키고, 영생으로 인도하는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 자비를 기다리십시오. 22 의심을 하는 사람들을 동정하십시오. 23 또 어떤 부류의 사람들에 대해서는 그들을 불에서 끌어내어 구원해 주십시오. 또 어떤 부류의 사람들에 대해서는 그들을 두려운 마음으로 동정하되, 그 살에 닿아서 더럽혀진 속옷까지도 미워하십시오. 24 여러분을 넘어지지 않게 지켜 주시고, 여러분을 흠이 없는 사람으로 자기의 영광 앞에 기쁘게 나서게 하실 능력을 가지신 분, 25 곧 우리의 구주이시며 오직 한 분이신 하나님께 영광과 위엄과 주권과 권세가 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 영원 전에와 이제와 영원까지 있기를 빕니다. 아멘.
