5Then my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles and the officials and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. And I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it: 6 These were the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of those exiles whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried into exile. They returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his town. 7 They came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. And they had245 singers, male and female. 68 Their horses were736, their mules245, 69 their camels435, and their donkeys6,720. 70 Now some of the heads of fathers' houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury1,000 darics of gold,50 basins,30 priests' garments and500 minas of silver. 71 And some of the heads of fathers' houses gave into the treasury of the work20,000 darics of gold and2,200 minas of silver. 72 And what the rest of the people gave was20,000 darics of gold,2,000 minas of silver, and67 priests' garments. 73 So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel, lived in their towns. And when the seventh month had come, the people of Israel were in their towns.
5귀족들과 관리들과 일반 백성을 모아서 가족별로 등록시키도록, 나의 하나님이 나의 마음을 감동시키셨다. 마침, 나는 일차로 돌아온 사람들의 가족별 등록부를 찾았는데, 거기에는 다음과 같이 적혀 있다. 6 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살에게 사로잡혀 바빌로니아로 끌려간 사람들 가운데서, 많은 사람들이 바빌로니아 각 지방을 떠나 제 고향 땅 예루살렘과 유다로 돌아왔다. 7 그들은 스룹바벨과 예수아와 느헤미야와 아사랴와 라아먀와 나하마니와 모르드개와 빌산과 미스베렛과 비그왜와 느훔과 바아나가 돌아올 때에 함께 돌아왔다. 이스라엘 백성의 명단과 수는 다음과 같다. 8 바로스 자손이 이천백칠십이 명이요, 9 스바댜 자손이 삼백칠십이 명이요, 10 아라 자손이 육백오십이 명이요, 11 바핫모압 자손 곧 예수아와 요압 자손이 이천팔백십팔 명이요, 12 엘람 자손이 천이백오십사 명이요, 13 삿두 자손이 팔백사십오 명이요, 14 삭개 자손이 칠백육십 명이요, 15 빈누이 자손이 육백사십팔 명이요, 16 브배 자손이 육백이십팔 명이요, 17 아스갓 자손이 이천삼백이십이 명이요, 18 아도니감 자손이 육백육십칠 명이요, 19 비그왜 자손이 이천육십칠 명이요, 20 아딘 자손이 육백오십오 명이요, 21 아델 자손 곧 히스기야 자손이 구십팔 명이요, 22 하숨 자손이 삼백이십팔 명이요, 23 베새 자손이 삼백이십사 명이요, 24 하립 자손이 백십이 명이요, 25 기브온 자손이 구십오 명이다. 26 베들레헴 사람과 느도바 사람이 백팔십팔 명이요, 27 아나돗 사람이 백이십팔 명이요, 28 벳아스마웻 사람이 사십이 명이요, 29 기럇여아림과 그비라와 브에롯 사람이 칠백사십삼 명이요, 30 라마와 게바 사람이 육백이십일 명이요, 31 믹마스 사람이 백이십이 명이요, 32 베델과 아이 사람이 백이십삼 명이요, 33 느보의 다른 마을 사람이 오십이 명이요, 34 엘람의 다른 마을 사람이 천이백오십사 명이요, 35 하림 사람이 삼백이십 명이요, 36 여리고 사람이 삼백사십오 명이요, 37 로드와 하딧과 오노 사람이 칠백이십일 명이요, 38 스나아 사람이 삼천구백삼십 명이다. 39 제사장은, 예수아 집안 여다야 자손이 구백칠십삼 명이요, 40 임멜 자손이 천오십이 명이요, 41 바스훌 자손이 천이백사십칠 명이요, 42 하림 자손이 천십칠 명이다. 43 레위 사람은, 호드야의 자손들인 예수아와 갓미엘 자손이 칠십사 명이요, 44 노래하는 사람은, 아삽 자손이 백사십팔 명이요, 45 성전 문지기는, 살룸 자손과 아델 자손과 달문 자손과 악굽 자손과 하디다 자손과 소배 자손인데, 백삼십팔 명이다. 46 성전 막일꾼은, 시하 자손과 하수바 자손과 답바옷 자손과 47 게로스 자손과 시아 자손과 바돈 자손과 48 르바나 자손과 하가바 자손과 살매 자손과 49 하난 자손과 깃델 자손과 가할 자손과 50 르아야 자손과 르신 자손과 느고다 자손과 51 갓삼 자손과 웃사 자손과 바세아 자손과 52 베새 자손과 므우님 자손과 느비스심 자손과 53 박북 자손과 하그바 자손과 할훌 자손과 54 바슬릿 자손과 므히다 자손과 하르사 자손과 55 바르고스 자손과 시스라 자손과 데마 자손과 56 느시야 자손과 하디바 자손이다. 57 솔로몬을 섬기던 종들의 자손은, 소대 자손과 소베렛 자손과 브리다 자손과 58 야알라 자손과 다르곤 자손과 깃델 자손과 59 스바댜 자손과 핫딜 자손과 보게렛하스바임 자손과 아몬 자손이다. 60 이상 성전 막일꾼과 솔로몬을 섬기던 종의 자손은 모두 삼백구십이 명이다. 61 이 밖에 델멜라와 델하르사와 그룹과 앗돈과 임멜 등 여러 곳에서 사람들이 왔지만, 가문이 밝혀지지 않아서, 그들이 이스라엘의 자손인지 아닌지는 알 길이 없었다. 62 그들은, 들라야 자손과 도비야 자손과 느고다 자손인데, 모두 육백사십이 명이다. 63 제사장 가문 가운데는 호바야 자손과 학고스 자손과 바르실래 자손도 있는데, 이들 가운데서 바르실래는 길르앗 지방 사람인 바르실래 집안으로 장가를 들어서, 장인의 이름을 이어받은 사람이다. 64 족보를 뒤져보았지만, 그들은 그 조상이 확인되지 않았으므로, 제사장 직분을 맡기에는 적합하지 않다고 생각해서, 그 직분을 맡지 못하게 하였다. 65 유다 총독은 그들에게, 우림과 둠밈을 가지고 판결을 내릴 제사장이 나타날 때까지는, 가장 거룩한 음식은 먹지 말라고 명령하였다. 66 돌아온 회중의 수는 모두 사만 이천삼백육십 명이다. 67 그들이 부리던 남녀 종이 칠천삼백삼십칠 명이요, 그 밖에 노래하는 남녀가 이백사십오 명이다. 68 또 말이 칠백삼십육 마리요, 노새가 이백사십오 마리요, 69 낙타가 사백삼십오 마리요, 나귀가 육천칠백이십 마리이다. 70 가문의 우두머리 가운데는 건축 기금을 내놓는 사람들이 있었다. 총독도 금 천 다릭과 쟁반 오십 개와 제사장 예복 오백삼십 벌을 창고에 들여놓았다. 71 각 가문의 우두머리들이 공사를 위하여 창고에 바친 것은, 금이 이만 다릭이요, 은이 이천이백 마네였다. 72 나머지 백성이 바친 것은, 금이 이만 다릭이요, 은이 이천 마네요, 제사장의 예복이 육십칠 벌이다. 73 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 성전 문지기들과 노래하는 사람들과 백성 가운데 일부와 성전 막일꾼들과 나머지 이스라엘 사람들은, 저마다 고향에 자리를 잡았다. 이스라엘 자손이 그렇게 여러 마을에 흩어져서 살고 있었다. 일곱째 달이 되었을 때에,
