24So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.” 25 He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” 26 They said to him, “What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?” 27 He answered them, “I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?” 28 And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. 29 We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where he comes from.” 30 The man answered, “Why, this is an amazing thing! You do not know where he comes from, and yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, God listens to him. 32 Never since the world began has it been heard that anyone opened the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” 34 They answered him, “You were born in utter sin, and would you teach us?” And they cast him out. 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” 36 He answered, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?” 37 Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.” 38 He said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him. 39 Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind.” 40 Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, “Are we also blind?” 41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, ‘We see,’ your guilt remains.
24바리새파 사람들은 눈멀었던 그 사람을 두 번째로 불러서 말하였다. “영광을 하나님께 돌려라. 우리가 알기로, 그 사람은 죄인이다.” 25 그는 이렇게 대답하였다. “나는 그분이 죄인인지 아닌지는 모릅니다. 다만 한 가지 내가 아는 것은, 내가 눈이 멀었다가, 지금은 보게 되었다는 것입니다.” 26 그래서 그들은 그에게 물었다. “그 사람이 네게 한 일이 무엇이냐? 그가 네 눈을 어떻게 뜨게 하였느냐?” 27 그는 대답하였다. “그것은 내가 이미 여러분에게 말하였는데, 여러분은 곧이듣지 않았습니다. 그러면서 어찌하여 다시 들으려고 합니까? 여러분도 그분의 제자가 되려고 합니까?” 28 그러자 그들은 그에게 욕설을 퍼붓고 말하였다. “너는 그 사람의 제자이지만, 우리는 모세의 제자이다. 29 우리는 하나님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다는 것을 알고 있다. 그러나 그 사람은 어디에서 왔는지 우리는 알지 못한다.” 30 그가 그들에게 대답하였다. “그분이 내 눈을 뜨게 해주셨는데도, 여러분은 그분이 어디에서 왔는지 모른다니, 참 이상한 일입니다. 31 하나님께서는 죄인들의 말은 듣지 않으시지만, 하나님을 공경하고 그의 뜻을 행하는 사람의 말은 들어주시는 줄을, 우리는 압니다. 32 나면서부터 눈먼 사람의 눈을 누가 뜨게 하였다는 말은, 창세로부터 이제까지 들어 본 적이 없습니다. 33 그가 하나님께로부터 오신 분이 아니라면, 아무 일도 하지 못하셨을 것입니다.” 34 그들은 그에게 말하였다. “네가 완전히 죄 가운데서 태어났는데도, 우리를 가르치려고 하느냐?” 그리고 그들은 그를 바깥으로 내쫓았다. 35 바리새파 사람들이 그 사람을 내쫓았다는 말을 예수께서 들으시고, 그를 만나서 물으셨다. “네가 인자를 믿느냐?” 36 그가 대답하였다. “선생님, 그분이 어느 분입니까? 내가 그분을 믿겠습니다.” 37 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. “너는 이미 그를 보았다. 너와 말하고 있는 사람이 바로 그이다.” 38 그는 “주님, 내가 믿습니다” 하고 말하고서, 예수께 엎드려 절하였다. 39 예수께서 또 말씀하셨다. “나는 이 세상을 심판하러 왔다. 못 보는 사람은 보게 하고, 보는 사람은 못 보게 하려는 것이다.” 40 예수와 함께 있던 바리새파 사람들이 이 말씀을 듣고 나서 말하였다. “우리도 눈이 먼 사람이란 말이오?” 41 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “너희가 눈이 먼 사람들이라면, 도리어 죄가 없을 것이다. 그러나, 너희가 지금 본다고 말하니, 너희의 죄가 그대로 남아 있다.”
