1Behold, a king will reign in righteousness, and princes will rule in justice. 2 Each will be like a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land. 3 Then the eyes of those who see will not be closed, and the ears of those who hear will give attention. 4 The heart of the hasty will understand and know, and the tongue of the stammerers will hasten to speak distinctly. 5 The fool will no more be called noble, nor the scoundrel said to be honorable. 6 For the fool speaks folly, and his heart is busy with iniquity, to practice ungodliness, to utter error concerning the LORD, to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied, and to deprive the thirsty of drink. 7 As for the scoundrel—his devices are evil; he plans wicked schemes to ruin the poor with lying words, even when the plea of the needy is right. 8 But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands. 9 Rise up, you women who are at ease, hear my voice; you complacent daughters, give ear to my speech. 10 In little more than a year you will shudder, you complacent women; for the grape harvest fails, the fruit harvest will not come. 11 Tremble, you women who are at ease, shudder, you complacent ones; strip, and make yourselves bare, and tie sackcloth around your waist. 12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine, 13 for the soil of my people growing up in thorns and briers, yes, for all the joyous houses in the exultant city. 14 For the palace is forsaken, the populous city deserted; the hill and the watchtower will become dens forever, a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks; 15 until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest. 16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field. 17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. 18 My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. 19 And it will hail when the forest falls down, and the city will be utterly laid low. 20 Happy are you who sow beside all waters, who let the feet of the ox and the donkey range free.
1“장차 한 왕이 나와서 공의로 통치하고, 통치자들이 공평으로 다스릴 것이다.” 2 통치자들마다 광풍을 피하는 곳과 같고, 폭우를 막는 곳과 같게 될 것입니다. 메마른 땅에서 흐르는 냇물과 같을 것이며, 사막에 있는 큰 바위 그늘과 같을 것입니다. 3 “백성을 돌보는 통치자의 눈이 멀지 않을 것이며, 백성의 요구를 듣는 통치자의 귀가 막히지 않을 것이다. 4 그들은 경솔하지 않을 것이며, 사려 깊게 행동할 것이며, 그들이 의도한 것을 분명하게 말할 것이다.” 5 아무도 어리석은 사람을 더 이상 고상한 사람이라고 부르지 않을 것이며, 간교한 사람을 존귀한 사람이라고 말하지 않을 것입니다. 6 어리석은 사람은 어리석은 말을 하며, 그 마음으로 악을 좋아하여 불경건한 일을 하며, 주님께 함부로 말을 하고, 굶주린 사람에게 먹거리를 주지 않고, 목마른 사람에게 마실 물을 주지 않습니다. 7 우둔한 사람은 악해서, 간계나 꾸미며, 힘없는 사람들이 정당한 권리를 주장해도, 거짓말로 그 가난한 사람들을 파멸시킵니다. 8 그러나 고귀한 사람은 고귀한 일을 계획하고, 그 고귀한 뜻을 펼치며 삽니다. 9 안일하게 사는 여인들아, 일어나서 나의 목소리를 들어라. 걱정거리가 없이 사는 딸들아, 내가 하는 말에 귀를 기울여라.10걱정거리가 없이 사는 딸들아, 일 년이 채 되지 못하여 몸서리 칠 일이 생길 것이다. 포도농사가 망하여 거둘 것이 없을 것이다. 11 안일하게 사는 여인들아, 몸부림 쳐라. 걱정거리가 없이 사는 여인들아, 몸서리 쳐라. 맨몸이 되도록 옷을 다 벗어버리고 베로 허리를 둘러라. 12 밭농사와 포도농사를 망쳤으니, 가슴을 쳐라. 13 나의 백성이 사는 땅에 가시덤불과 찔레나무가 자랄 것이니, 가슴을 쳐라. 기쁨이 넘치던 모든 집과 흥겨운 소리 그치지 않던 성읍을 기억하고, 가슴을 쳐라. 14 요새는 파괴되고, 붐비던 도성은 텅 비고, 망대와 탑이 영원히 돌무더기가 되어서, 들나귀들이 즐거이 뛰노는 곳, 양 떼가 풀을 뜯는 곳이 될 것이다. 15 그러나 주님께서 저 높은 곳에서부터 다시 우리에게 영을 보내 주시면, 황무지는 기름진 땅이 되고, 광야는 온갖 곡식을 풍성하게 내는 곡창지대가 될 것이다. 16 그 때에는, 광야에 공평이 자리 잡고, 기름진 땅에 의가 머물 것이다. 17 의의 열매는 평화요, 의의 결실은 영원 한 평안과 안전이다. 18 나의 백성은 평화로운 집에서 살며, 안전한 거처, 평온히 쉴 수 있는 곳에서 살 것이다. 19 (비록 삼림이 우박에 쓰 러지고 성읍이 완전히 무너져 내려도,) 20 씨를 뿌리는 곳마다 댈 물이 넉넉하고, 어디에서나 안심하고 소와 나귀를 놓아 키울 수 있으니, 너희는 복이 있다.
