22Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me. 25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.
22가룟 유다가 아닌 다른 유다가 물었다. “주님, 주님께서 우리에게는 자신을 드러내시고, 세상에는 드러내려고 하지 않으시는 것은 무슨 까닭입니까?” 23 예수께서 그에게 대답하셨다. “누구든지 나를 사랑하는 사람은 내 말을 지킬 것이다. 그리하면 내 아버지께서 그 사람을 사랑하실 것이요, 내 아버지와 나는 그 사람에게로 가서 그 사람과 함께 살 것이다. 24 나를 사랑하지 않는 사람은 내 말을 지키지 아니한다. 너희가 듣고 있는 이 말은, 내 말이 아니라, 나를 보내신 아버지의 말씀이다.” 25 “내가 너희와 함께 있는 동안에, 나는 이 말을 너희에게 말하였다. 26 그러나 보혜사, 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령께서, 너희에게 모든 것을 가르쳐 주실 것이며, 또 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하실 것이다. 27 나는 평화를 너희에게 남겨 준다. 나는 내 평화를 너희에게 준다. 내가 너희에게 주는 평화는 세상이 주는 것과 같지 않다. 너희는 마음에 근심하지 말고, 두려워하지도 말아라. 28 너희는 내가 갔다가 너희에게로 다시 온다고 한 내 말을 들었다. 너희가 나를 사랑한다면, 내가 아버지께로 가는 것을 기뻐했을 것이다. 내 아버지는 나보다 크신 분이기 때문이다. 29 지금 나는 그 일이 일어나기 전에 미리 너희에게 말하였다. 이것은 그 일이 일어날 때에 너희로 하여금 믿게 하려는 것이다. 30 나는 너희와 더 이상 말을 많이 하지 않겠다. 이 세상의 통치자가 가까이 오고 있기 때문이다. 그는 나를 어떻게 할 아무런 권한이 없다. 31 다만 내가 아버지를 사랑한다는 것과, 아버지께서 내게 분부하신 그대로 내가 행한다는 것을, 세상에 알리려는 것이다. 일어나거라. 여기에서 떠나자.”
