1You will say in that day: “I will give thanks to you, O LORD, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me.
2 “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
4 And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.
5 “Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.
6 Shout, and sing for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”

1그 날이 오면, 너는 이렇게 찬송할 것이다. “주님, 전에는 주님께서 나에게 진노하셨으나, 이제는 주님의 진노를 거두시고, 나를 위로하여 주시니, 주님께 감사드립니다.
2 하나님은 나의 구원이시다. 나는 주님을 의지한다. 나에게 두려움 없다. 주 하나님은 나의 힘, 나의 노래, 나의 구원이시다.”
3 너희가 구원의 우물에서 기쁨으로 물을 길을 것이다.
4 그 날이 오면, 너희는 또 이렇게 찬송할 것이다. “주님께 감사하여라. 그의 이름을 불러라. 그가 하신 일을 만민에게 알리며, 그의 높은 이름을 선포하여라.
5 주님께서 영광스러운 일을 하셨으니, 주님을 찬송하여라. 이것을 온 세계에 알려라.
6 시온의 주민아! 소리를 높여서 노래하여라. 너희 가운데 계시는 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분은 참으로 위대하시다.”

Who is God like?

Thinking & Understanding
God told the Israelites the song they would sing “in that day”. They would give thanks to God for withdrawing his anger and comforting them, confess that God was their salvation and strength, no longer be afraid, and rely only on God. They would rejoice in God and sing a song proclaiming God’s mighty deeds to the whole world.
하나님은 ‘그 날’에 이스라엘이 부를 찬양을 예고하십니다. 그들은 진노 대신 위로를 경험하며 하나님께 감사하고, 하나님을 자신의 구원과 힘으로 고백하며 더 이상 두려워하지 않고 하나님만 의지할 것입니다. 또한 하나님으로 인해 기쁨을 누리며, 그분의 위대한 일을 온 세상에 전하는 찬양을 부르게 될 것입니다.

Who is God?
V. 2 God is our strength, song, and salvation. Salvation isn’t just living a good life without God. If salvation meant living an easy and comfortable life, God would not have made the Israelites endure such hardship. Salvation is gaining God’s companionship. Have I been saved?
나의 힘, 나의 노래, 나의 구원이 되십니다. 하나님 없이 나만 잘 먹고 잘 사는 것을 구원이라고 하지 않습니다. 만약 평안하고 안락한 삶이 구원이라면 하나님은 이스라엘이 지난한 과정을 겪게 하지 않으셨을 것입니다. 하나님을 얻는 것이 구원입니다. 나는 구원받았습니까?

What lesson is God teaching me?
VV. 4-6 We must boast about God to the whole world. It is only natural for our thanksgiving and praise (worship) about the wonder of salvation to extend into preaching. If we truly understand the value of God’s grace, we cannot keep silent. The more thankful we are for salvation, the louder our voices will naturally get. How am I responding to the glorious wonder of being saved by God?
하나님을 온 세상에 자랑해야 합니다. 구원의 감격이 ‘감사’와 ‘찬송’(예배)과 ‘선교’로 이어지는 것은 지극히 당연한 일입니다. 그 일을 값싼 은혜로 여기지 않는다면, 잠잠히 침묵할 수 없을 것입니다. 구원의 감격이 클수록 우리 목소리도 드높아질 것입니다. 나는 하나님이 나를 구원하신 아름다운 일에 어떻게 반응하고 있습니까?

Prayer
Lord, I praise your wondrous work of salvation and pray that the whole world will know about it.
