1But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided. 2 The fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained, 3 and the waters receded from the earth continually. At the end of150 days the waters had abated, 4 and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. 5 And the waters continued to abate until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were seen. 6 At the end of forty days Noah opened the window of the ark that he had made 7 and sent forth a raven. It went to and fro until the waters were dried up from the earth. 8 Then he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters had subsided from the face of the ground. 9 But the dove found no place to set her foot, and she returned to him to the ark, for the waters were still on the face of the whole earth. So he put out his hand and took her and brought her into the ark with him. 10 He waited another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark. 11 And the dove came back to him in the evening, and behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters had subsided from the earth. 12 Then he waited another seven days and sent forth the dove, and she did not return to him anymore. 13 In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried from off the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and behold, the face of the ground was dry. 14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth had dried out. 15 Then God said to Noah, 16 “Go out from the ark, you and your wife, and your sons and your sons' wives with you. 17 Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh—birds and animals and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth—that they may swarm on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him. 19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every bird, everything that moves on the earth, went out by families from the ark. 20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And when the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, the LORD said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil from his youth. Neither will I ever again strike down every living creature as I have done. 22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”
1그 때에 하나님이, 노아와 방주에 함께 있는 모든 들짐승과 집짐승을 돌아보실 생각을 하시고, 땅 위에 바람을 일으키시니, 물이 빠지기 시작하였다. 2 땅 속의 깊은 샘들과 하늘의 홍수 문들이 닫히고, 하늘에서 내리는 비도 그쳤다. 3 땅에서 물이 줄어들고 또 줄어들어서, 백오십 일이 지나니, 물이 많이 빠졌다. 4 일곱째 달 열이렛날에, 방주가 아라랏 산에 머물러 쉬었다. 5 물은 열째 달이 될 때까지 줄곧 줄어들어서, 그 달 곧 열째 달 초하루에는 산봉우리들이 드러났다. 6 사십 일이 지나서, 노아는 자기가 만든 방주의 창을 열고서, 7 까마귀 한 마리를 바깥으로 내보냈다. 그 까마귀는 땅에서 물이 마르기를 기다리며, 이리저리 날아다니기만 하였다. 8 그는 또 비둘기 한 마리를 내보내서, 땅에서 물이 얼마나 빠졌는지를 알아보려고 하였다. 9 그러나 땅이 아직 모두 물속에 잠겨 있으므로, 그 비둘기는 발을 붙이고 쉴 만한 곳을 찾지 못하여, 그냥 방주로 돌아와서, 노아에게 왔다. 노아는 손을 내밀어 그 비둘기를 받아서, 자기가 있는 방주 안으로 끌어들였다. 10 노아는 이레를 더 기다리다가, 그 비둘기를 다시 방주에서 내보냈다. 11 그 비둘기는 저녁때가 되어서 그에게로 되돌아왔는데, 비둘기가 금방 딴 올리브 잎을 부리에 물고 있었으므로, 노아는 땅 위에서 물이 빠진 것을 알았다. 12 노아는 다시 이레를 더 기다리다가, 그 비둘기를 내보냈다. 그러나 이번에는 그 비둘기가 그에게로 다시 돌아오지 않았다. 13 노아가 육백한 살 되는 해 첫째 달, 곧 그 달 초하룻날, 땅 위에서 물이 다 말랐다. 노아가 방주 뚜껑을 열고, 바깥을 내다보니, 땅바닥이 말라 있었다. 14 둘째 달, 곧 그 달 스무이렛날에, 땅이 다 말랐다. 15 하나님이 노아에게 말씀하셨다. 16 “너는 아내와 아들들과 며느리들을 데리고 방주에서 나가거라. 17 네가 데리고 있는, 살과 피를 지닌 모든 생물들, 곧 새와 집짐승과 땅 위에서 기어 다니는 모든 길짐승을 데리고 나가거라. 그래서 그것들이 땅에서 생육하고 땅에서 번성하게 하여라.” 18 노아는 아들들과 아내와 며느리들을 데리고 나왔다. 19 모든 짐승, 모든 길짐승, 모든 새, 땅 위를 기어 다니는 모든 것도, 그 종류대로 방주에서 바깥으로 나왔다. 20 노아는 주님 앞에 제단을 쌓고, 모든 정결한 집짐승과 정결한 새들 가운데서 제물을 골라서, 제단 위에 번제물로 바쳤다. 21 주님께서 그 향기를 맡으시고서, 마음속으로 다짐하셨다. “다시는 사람이 악하다고 하여서, 땅을 저주하지는 않겠다. 사람은 어릴 때부터 그 마음의 생각이 악하기 마련이다. 다시는 이번에 한 것 같이, 모든 생물을 없애지는 않겠다. 22 땅이 있는 한, 뿌리는 때와 거두는 때, 추위와 더위, 여름과 겨울, 낮과 밤이 그치지 아니할 것이다.”
