26Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.
30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
2 :1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done.
3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

26하나님이 말씀하시기를 “우리가 우리의 형상을 따라서, 우리의 모양대로 사람을 만들자. 그리고 그가, 바다의 고기와 공중의 새와 땅 위에 사는 온갖 들짐승과 땅 위를 기어 다니는 모든 길짐승을 다스리게 하자” 하시고,
27 하나님이 당신의 형상대로 사람을 창조하셨으니, 곧 하나님의 형상대로 사람을 창조하셨다. 하나님이 그들을 남자와 여자로 창조하셨다.
28 하나님이 그들에게 복을 베푸셨다. 하나님이 그들에게 말씀하시기를 “생육하고 번성하여 땅에 충만하여라. 땅을 정복하여라. 바다의 고기와 공중의 새와 땅 위에서 살아 움직이는 모든 생물을 다스려라” 하셨다.
29 하나님이 말씀하시기를 “내가 온 땅 위에 있는 씨 맺는 모든 채소와 씨 있는 열매를 맺는 모든 나무를 너희에게 준다. 이것들이 너희의 먹거리가 될 것이다.
30 또 땅의 모든 짐승과 공중의 모든 새와 땅 위에 사는 모든 것, 곧 생명을 지닌 모든 것에게도 모든 푸른 풀을 먹거리로 준다” 하시니, 그대로 되었다.
31 하나님이 손수 만드신 모든 것을 보시니, 보시기에 참 좋았다. 저녁이 되고 아침이 되니, 엿샛날이 지났다.
2 :1하나님은 하늘과 땅과 그 가운데 있는 모든 것을 다 이루셨다.
2 하나님은 하시던 일을 엿샛날까지 다 마치시고, 이렛날에는 하시던 모든 일에서 손을 떼고 쉬셨다.
3 이렛날에 하나님이 창조하시던 모든 일에서 손을 떼고 쉬셨으므로, 하나님은 그 날을 복되게 하시고 거룩하게 하셨다.

Who is God like?

Thinking & Understanding
God created mankind, blessed them, and commanded them to be fruitful and multiply, filling the earth. He also entrusted them to care for and steward the world he had made (1:26–28). On the third day, God provided the plants and fruit he had prepared beforehand as food not only for men but for all the beasts and living creatures (1:29–30). After completing creation on the sixth day, God was especially pleased (1:31). On the seventh day, he rested and set this day apart as blessed and holy (2:1–3). This means that humans, who were created in God’s image, should also rest as God did, commemorating and enjoying his creation.
하나님은 사람을 창조하시고 복을 주셔서, 번성하여 온 세상을 가득 채우게 하셨습니다. 또한 하나님께서 지으신 세상을 하나님 대신 관리하고 돌보는 사명을 맡기셨습니다(1:26–28). 하나님은 셋째 날에 미리 준비하신 채소와 과일을 사람뿐 아니라 모든 짐승과 생명 있는 피조물에게 먹거리로 주셨습니다(1:29–30). 여섯째 날의 창조를 마치신 하나님은 특별히 흡족해하셨습니다(1:31). 그리고 일곱째 날에는 쉬시며 이날을 복되고 거룩하게 구별하셨습니다(2:1–3). 이는 하나님의 형상으로 지음 받은 사람도 하나님을 따라 안식하며, 창조를 기념하고 누려야 함을 교훈합니다.

Who is God?
1:26 God established mankind as a special being created in his image. An image resembles its source, and we are beings who reveal God. Even though the world may be filled with discrimination and exclusion, Scripture declares that all people, beyond status and gender, are precious beings bearing God’s image.
사람을 하나님의 형상대로 지어진 특별한 존재로 세우셨습니다. 형상은 본체를 닮은 것이기에, 우리는 하나님을 드러내는 존재입니다. 차별과 배제가 가득한 세상 속에서도 성경은 모든 사람이 신분과 성별을 넘어 하나님의 형상을 지닌 존귀한 존재라고 선언합니다.

1:28 God gave humanity the mission to be fruitful and multiply, to subdue the earth, and have dominion over it. While the blessing to be fruitful and multiply was given to all creatures (v. 22), the responsibility to subdue and have dominion was entrusted solely to humans. This signifies that as God's representatives, men and women must care for and protect all creation according to God's will. Our stewardship is not a mandate to dominate, but a calling to care.
사람에게 생육하고 번성하며, 땅을 정복하고 다스리라는 사명을 주셨습니다. 생육하고 번성하는 복은 모든 생물에게 주셨지만(22절), 정복과 다스림의 책임은 오직 사람에게만 맡기셨습니다. 이는 하나님의 대리자로서 남자와 여자가 생명 있는 모든 피조세계를 하나님의 뜻대로 보살피고 지켜야 함을 뜻합니다. 우리의 다스림은 지배가 아니라 돌봄의 사명입니다.
