[Of David.] 1 Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; 2 he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. 3 O LORD, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him? 4 Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow. 5 Bow your heavens, O LORD, and come down! Touch the mountains so that they smoke! 6 Flash forth the lightning and scatter them; send out your arrows and rout them! 7 Stretch out your hand from on high; rescue me and deliver me from the many waters, from the hand of foreigners, 8 whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. 9 I will sing a new song to you, O God; upon a ten-stringed harp I will play to you, 10 who gives victory to kings, who rescues David his servant from the cruel sword. 11 Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. 12 May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace; 13 may our granaries be full, providing all kinds of produce; may our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields; 14 may our cattle be heavy with young, suffering no mishap or failure in bearing; may there be no cry of distress in our streets! 15 Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!

1나의 반석이신 주님을 내가 찬송하련다. 주님은 내 손을 훈련시켜 전쟁에 익숙하게 하셨고, 내 손가락을 단련시켜 전투에도 익숙하게 하셨다. 2 주님은 나의 반석, 나의 요새, 나의 산성, 나의 구원자, 나의 방패, 나의 피난처, 뭇 백성을 나의 발 아래에 굴복하게 하신다. 3 주님, 사람이 무엇이기에 그렇게 생각하여 주십니까? 인생이 무엇이기에 이토록 생각하여 주십니까? 4 사람은 한낱 숨결과 같고, 그의 일생은 사라지는 그림자와 같습니다. 5 주님, 하늘을 낮게 드리우시고, 내려오시며, 산들을 만지시어 산마다 연기를 뿜어내게 하십시오. 6 번개를 번쩍여서 원수들을 흩으시고, 화살을 쏘셔서 그들을 혼란에 빠뜨려 주십시오. 7 높은 곳에서 주님의 손을 내미셔서 거센 물결에서 나를 끌어내시고, 외적의 손에서 나를 건져 주십시오. 8 그들의 입은 헛된 것을 말하며, 그들이 맹세하는 오른손은 거짓으로 속이는 손입니다. 9 하나님, 내가 하나님께 새 노래를 불러 드리며, 열 줄 거문고를 타면서 하나님을 찬양하겠습니다. 10 왕들에게 승리를 안겨 주신 주님, 주님의 종 다윗을 무서운 칼에서 건져 주신 주님, 11 외적의 손에서 나를 끌어내셔서 건져 주십시오. 그들의 입은 헛된 것을 말하며, 그들이 맹세하는 오른손은 거짓으로 속이는 손입니다. 12 우리의 아들들은 어릴 때부터 나무처럼 튼튼하게 잘 자라고, 우리의 딸들은 궁전 모퉁이를 장식한 우아한 돌기둥처럼 잘 다듬어지고, 13 우리의 곳간에는 온갖 곡식이 가득하고, 우리가 기르는 양 떼는 넓은 들판에서 수천 배, 수만 배나 늘어나며, 14 우리가 먹이는 소들은 살이 찌고, 낙태하는 일도 없고, 잃어버리는 일도 없으며, 우리의 거리에는 울부짖는 소리가 전혀 없을 것이다. 15 이와 같은 백성은 복을 받은 백성이다. 주님을 자기의 하나님으로 섬기는 백성은 복을 받은 백성이다.
