20But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all. 29 Otherwise, what do people mean by being baptized on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized on their behalf? 30 Why are we in danger every hour? 31 I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day! 32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” 34 Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
20그러나 이제 그리스도께서는 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살아나셔서, 잠든 사람들의 첫 열매가 되셨습니다. 21 한 사람으로 말미암아 죽음이 들어왔으니, 또한 한 사람으로 말미암아 죽은 사람의 부활도 옵니다. 22 아담 안에서 모든 사람이 죽는 것과 같이, 그리스도 안에서 모든 사람이 살아나게 될 것입니다. 23 그러나 각각 제 차례대로 그렇게 될 것입니다. 첫째는 첫 열매이신 그리스도요, 그 다음은 그리스도께서 재림하실 때에, 그리스도께 속한 사람들입니다. 24 그 때가 마지막입니다. 그 때에 그리스도께서 모든 통치와 모든 권위와 모든 권력을 폐하시고, 그 나라를 하나님 아버지께 넘겨드리실 것입니다. 25 하나님께서 모든 원수를 그리스도의 발아래에 두실 때까지, 그리스도께서 다스리셔야 합니다. 26 맨 마지막으로 멸망 받을 원수는 죽음입니다. 27 성경에 이르기를 “하나님께서 모든 것을 그의 발아래에 굴복시키셨다” 하였습니다. 모든 것을 굴복시켰다고 말할 때에는, 모든 것을 그에게 굴복시키신 분은 그 가운데 들어 있지 않은 것이 명백합니다. 28 그러나 모든 것이 하나님께 굴복 당할 그 때에는, 아들까지도 모든 것을 자기에게 굴복시키신 분에게 굴복하실 것입니다. 그래서 하나님은 만유의 주님이 되실 것입니다. 29 죽은 사람들이 살아나지 않는다면, 죽은 사람들을 위해서 세례를 받는 사람들은 무엇 하려고 그런 일을 합니까? 죽은 사람이 정말로 살아나지 않는다면, 무엇 때문에 그들은 죽은 사람들을 위하여 세례를 받습니까? 30 그리고 또 우리는 무엇 때문에, 시시각각으로 위험을 무릅쓰고 있습니까? 31 형제자매 여러분, 나는 감히 단언합니다. 나는 날마다 죽습니다! 이것은, 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 여러분에게 하신 그 일로 내가 여러분을 자랑스럽게 여기는 것만큼이나 확실한 것입니다. 32 내가 에베소에서 맹수와 싸웠다고 하더라도, 인간적인 동기에서 한 것이라면, 그것이 나에게 무슨 유익이 되겠습니까? 만일 죽은 사람이 살아나지 못한다면 “내일이면 죽을 터이니, 먹고 마시자” 할 것입니다. 33 속지 마십시오. 나쁜 동무가 좋은 습성을 망칩니다. 34 똑바로 정신을 차리고, 죄를 짓지 마십시오. 여러분을 부끄럽게 하려고 내가 이 말을 합니다만, 여러분 가운데서 더러는 하나님을 아는 지식이 없습니다.
