1Now the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem. And the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of ten to live in Jerusalem the holy city, while nine out of ten remained in the other towns. 2 And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered to live in Jerusalem. 3 These are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the towns of Judah everyone lived on his property in their towns: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the descendants of Solomon's servants. 4 And in Jerusalem lived certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin. Of the sons of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez; 5 and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite. 6 All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were468 valiant men. 7 And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah, 8 and his brothers, men of valor,928. 9 Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city. 10 Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin, 11 Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, ruler of the house of God, 12 and their brothers who did the work of the house,822; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, 13 and his brothers, heads of fathers' houses,242; and Amashsai, the son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer, 14 and their brothers, mighty men of valor,128; their overseer was Zabdiel the son of Haggedolim. 15 And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni; 16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who were over the outside work of the house of God; 17 and Mattaniah the son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, who was the leader of the praise, who gave thanks, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers; and Abda the son of Shammua, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun. 18 All the Levites in the holy city were284. 19 The gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were172. 20 And the rest of Israel, and of the priests and the Levites, were in all the towns of Judah, every one in his inheritance. 21 But the temple servants lived on Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the temple servants. 22 The overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the work of the house of God. 23 For there was a command from the king concerning them, and a fixed provision for the singers, as every day required. 24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's side in all matters concerning the people. 25 And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the people of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its villages, and in Dibon and its villages, and in Jekabzeel and its villages, 26 and in Jeshua and in Moladah and Beth-pelet, 27 in Hazar-shual, in Beersheba and its villages, 28 in Ziklag, in Meconah and its villages, 29 in En-rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth, 30 Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its villages. So they encamped from Beersheba to the Valley of Hinnom. 31 The people of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash, Aija, Bethel and its villages, 32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, 33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, 34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, 35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. 36 And certain divisions of the Levites in Judah were assigned to Benjamin.
1백성의 지도자들은 예루살렘에 자리잡았다. 나머지 백성은 주사위를 던져서, 십분의 일은 거룩한 성 예루살렘에서 살게 하고, 십분의 구는 저마다 자기의 성읍에서 살게 하였다. 2 스스로 예루살렘에서 살겠다고 자원하는 사람 모두에게는 백성이 복을 빌어 주었다. 3 예루살렘에 자리를 잡은 지방 지도자들은 다음과 같다. 다른 이스라엘 사람들 곧 제사장과 레위 사람과 성전 막일꾼과 솔로몬을 섬기던 종의 자손은, 각자가 물려받은 땅인 유다 여러 성읍에서 살고, 4 유다와 베냐민 자손 가운데서 일부가 예루살렘에서 살았다. 유다 자손으로는 아다야가 있다. 그의 아버지는 웃시야요, 그 윗대는 스가랴요, 그 윗대는 아마랴요, 그 윗대는 스바댜요, 그 윗대는 마할랄렐이요, 그 윗대는 베레스이다. 5 그 다음으로는 마아세야가 있다. 그의 아버지는 바룩이요, 그 윗대는 골호세요, 그 윗대는 하사야요, 그 윗대는 아다야요, 그 윗대는 요야립이요, 그 윗대는 스가랴요, 그 윗대는 실로 사람의 아들이다. 6 예루살렘에 자리잡은 베레스의 자손은 모두 사백육십팔 명이고, 그들은 모두 용사였다. 7 베냐민 자손으로는 살루가 있다. 그의 아버지는 므술람이요, 그 윗대는 요엣이요, 그 윗대는 브다야요, 그 윗대는 골라야요, 그 윗대는 마아세야요, 그 윗대는 이디엘이요, 그 윗대는 여사야이다. 8 그를 따르는 자는, 갑배와 살래를 비롯하여, 구백이십팔 명이다. 9 시그리의 아들인 요엘이 그 우두머리이고, 핫스누아의 아들인 유다는 그 도성의 제 이 구역을 다스렸다. 10 제사장 가운데는, 요야립의 아들인 여다야와 야긴과 11 스라야가 있다. 스라야의 아버지는 힐기야요, 그 윗대는 므술람이요, 그 윗대는 사독이요, 그 윗대는 므라욧이요, 그 윗대는 하나님의 성전의 책임자인 아히둡이다. 12 성전의 일을 맡아 보는 그들의 친족은 모두 팔백이십이 명이다. 또 아다야가 있는데, 그의 아버지는 여로함이요, 그 윗대는 블라야요, 그 윗대는 암시요, 그 윗대는 스가랴요, 그 윗대는 바스훌이요, 그 윗대는 말기야이다. 13 그의 친족 각 가문의 우두머리는 이백사십이 명이다. 또 아맛새가 있다. 그의 아버지는 아사렐이요, 그 윗대는 아흐새요, 그 윗대는 므실레못이요, 그 윗대는 임멜이다. 14 큰 용사들인 그들의 친족은 모두 백이십팔 명이다. 그들의 우두머리는 하그돌림의 아들 삽디엘이다. 15 레위 사람으로는 스마야가 있다. 그의 아버지는 핫숩이요, 그 윗대는 아스리감이요, 그 윗대는 하사뱌요, 그 윗대는 분니이다. 16 또 레위 사람의 우두머리인 삽브대와 요사밧도 있다. 그들은 하나님의 성전 바깥 일을 맡은 이들이다. 17 또 맛다니야가 있다. 그의 아버지는 미가요, 그 윗대는 삽디요, 그 윗대는 아삽이다. 그는 감사의 찬송과 기도를 인도하는 지휘자이다. 그의 형제들 가운데서 박부갸가 버금가는 지휘자가 되었다. 또 압다가 있다. 그의 아버지는 삼무아요, 그 윗대는 갈랄이요, 그 윗대는 여두둔이다. 18 거룩한 성에 자리를 잡은 레위 사람들은 모두 이백팔십사 명이다. 19 성전 문지기는 악굽과 달몬과 그 친족들인데, 모두 백칠십이 명이다. 20 나머지 이스라엘 백성과 제사장과 레위 사람들은, 제각기 자기 유산으로 받은 땅이 있는 유다 여러 성읍에 흩어져서 살았다. 21 성전 막일꾼들은 오벨에 자리를 잡았다. 시하와 기스바가 그들을 맡았다. 22 예루살렘에 자리를 잡은 레위 사람들의 우두머리는 웃시이다. 그의 아버지는 바니요, 그 윗대는 하사뱌요, 그 윗대는 맛다니야요, 그 윗대는 미가이다. 웃시는 하나님의 성전에서 예배드릴 때에 노래를 맡은 아삽의 자손 가운데 한 사람이다. 23 노래하는 사람들에게는, 날마다 하여야 할 일을 규정한 왕명이 내려져 있었다. 24 유다의 아들 세라의 자손 가운데서, 므세사벨의 아들 브다히야가 왕 곁에서 이스라엘 백성과 관련된 일을 맡아 보았다. 25 마을과 거기에 딸린 들판은 이러하다. 유다 자손 가운데서 더러는 기럇아르바와 거기에 딸린 촌락들과, 디본과 거기에 딸린 촌락들과, 여갑스엘과 거기에 딸린 마을들에 자리를 잡고, 26 더러는 예수아와 몰라다와 벳벨렛과 27 하살수알과 브엘세바와 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 28 시글락과 므고나와 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 29 에느림몬과 소라와 야르뭇과 30 사노아와 아둘람과 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 라기스와 거기에 딸린 들판, 아세가와 거기에 딸린 촌락들에 자리를 잡았다. 이렇게 그들은 브엘세바에서 힌놈 골짜기까지 장막을 치고 살게 되었다. 31 베냐민 자손은 게바와 믹마스와 아야와 베델과 거기에 딸린 촌락들, 32 아나돗과 놉과 아나냐와 33 하솔과 라마와 깃다임과 34 하딧과 스보임과 느발랏과 35 로드와 오노와 대장장이 골짜기에 자리를 잡았다. 36 유다에 있던 레위 사람들 가운데서 일부는 베냐민으로 가서 자리를 잡았다.
