31Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there. 32 The days of Terah were205 years, and Terah died in Haran. 12 :1Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” 4 So Abram went, as the LORD had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan, 6 Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. 7 Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him. 8 From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the LORD and called upon the name of the LORD. 9 And Abram journeyed on, still going toward the Negeb.
31데라는, 아들 아브람과, 하란에게서 난 손자 롯과, 아들 아브람의 아내인 며느리 사래를 데리고, 가나안 땅으로 오려고 바빌로니아의 우르를 떠나서, 하란에 이르렀다. 그는 거기에다가 자리를 잡고 살았다. 32 데라는 이백오 년을 살다가 하란에서 죽었다. 12 :1주님께서 아브람에게 말씀하셨다. “너는, 네가 살고 있는 땅과, 네가 난 곳과, 너의 아버지의 집을 떠나서, 내가 보여 주는 땅으로 가거라. 2 내가 너로 큰 민족이 되게 하고, 너에게 복을 주어서, 네가 크게 이름을 떨치게 하겠다. 너는 복의 근원이 될 것이다. 3 너를 축복하는 사람에게는 내가 복을 베풀고, 너를 저주하는 사람에게는 내가 저주를 내릴 것이다. 땅에 사는 모든 민족이 너로 말미암아 복을 받을 것이다.” 4 아브람은 주님께서 말씀하신 대로 길을 떠났다. 롯도 그와 함께 길을 떠났다. 아브람이 하란을 떠날 때에, 나이는 일흔다섯이었다. 5 아브람은 아내 사래와 조카 롯과 하란에서 모은 재산과 거기에서 얻은 사람들을 거느리고, 가나안 땅으로 가려고 길을 떠나서, 마침내 가나안 땅에 이르렀다. 6 아브람은 그 땅을 지나서, 세겜 땅 곧 모레의 상수리나무가 있는 곳에 이르렀다. 그 때에 그 땅에는 가나안 사람들이 살고 있었다. 7 주님께서 아브람에게 나타나셔서 말씀하셨다. “내가 너의 자손에게 이 땅을 주겠다.” 아브람은 거기에서 자기에게 나타나신 주님께 제단을 쌓아서 바쳤다. 8 아브람은 또 거기에서 떠나, 베델의 동쪽에 있는 산간지방으로 옮겨 가서 장막을 쳤다. 서쪽은 베델이고 동쪽은 아이이다. 아브람은 거기에서도 제단을 쌓아서, 주님께 바치고, 주님의 이름을 부르며 예배를 드렸다. 9 아브람은 또 길을 떠나, 줄곧 남쪽으로 가서, 네겝에 이르렀다.
