Nothing Is Useless		아무것도 헛되지 않음
[ 1 Corinthians 15:42 - 15:58 ] - hymn 214 Nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. 1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT In my third year battling discouragement and depression caused by limited mobility and chronic pain, I confided to a friend, ¡°My body¡¯s falling apart. I feel like I have nothing of value to offer God or anyone else.¡± Her hand rested on mine. ¡°Would you say it doesn¡¯t make a difference when I greet you with a smile or listen to you? Would you tell me it¡¯s worthless when I pray for you or offer a kind word?¡± I settled into my recliner. ¡°Of course not.¡± She frowned. ¡°Then why are you telling yourself those lies? You do all those things for me and for others.¡± I thanked God for reminding me that nothing we do for Him is useless. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul assures us that our bodies may be weak now but they will be ¡°raised in power¡±(v. 43). Because God promises we¡¯ll be resurrected through Christ, we can trust Him to use every offering, every small effort done for Him, to make a difference in His kingdom(v. 58). Even when we¡¯re physically limited, a smile, a word of encouragement, a prayer, or a display of faith during our trial can be used to minister to the diverse and interdependent body of Christ. When we serve the Lord, no job or act of love is too menial to matter. Xochitl Dixon		[ 고린도전서 15:42 - 15:58 ] - 찬송가 214 장 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 앎이라 고린도전서 15:58 부자유한 몸과 만성적인 통증으로 삼 년째 좌절감과 우울증에 시달리고 있던 나는 이렇게 친구에게 속마음을 털어놓았습니다. “이젠 몸도 망가지고, 하나님이나 사람들에게 아무 가치도 없는 존재가 된 것 같아.” 친구는 내 손을 잡으며 이렇게 물었습니다. “그렇다면 내가 미소로 맞아주고 귀 기울여 들어주는 것도 아무 소용없는 일이라고 말하는 거니? 너를 위해 기도해주고 따뜻하게 말해주는 것도 다 쓸데없다는 말이야?” 나는 안락의자에 자세를 고쳐 앉으며 말했습니다. “물론 그건 아니지.” 친구는 얼굴을 찌푸리며 말했습니다. “그러면 왜 말도 안 되는 그런 말을 자신에게 해? 너도 그런 일들을 다 나와 다른 사람들을 위해서 하고 있잖아.” 나는 우리가 주님을 위해서 하는 어떤 것도 헛되지 않다는 것을 깨우쳐주신 하나님께 감사했습니다. 고린도전서 15장에서, 바울은 우리의 몸이 지금은 약하나 “강한 것으로 다시 살아난다”(43절)라고 우리에게 확신시켜줍니다. 하나님은 우리가 그리스도를 통해 부활할 것이라고 약속해주시기 때문에, 우리는 주님이 주님을 위해 한 모든 헌신과 작은 수고들을 사용하셔서 주 안에서 헛되지 않게 하신다는 것을 믿을 수 있습니다(58절). 우리의 몸이 비록 불편할지라도 그 어려움 속에서 우리가 보여주는 미소나 격려의 말, 기도, 믿음의 모습들은 아주 다양하고 서로 의지하는 그리스도의 몸 된 교회를 섬기는 데 사용될 수 있습니다. 주님을 섬기며 하는 어떤 일이나 어떤 사랑의 표현도 하찮은 것은 하나도 없습니다.

Do what you can with what you have and leave the results to God.

42. So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;

43. it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

44. it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

45. So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

46. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual.

47. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven.

48. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.

49. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.

50. I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

51. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed --

52. in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

53. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

54. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

55. "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"

56. The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

57. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

• 예수님, 우리를 소중히 여겨주시고 다른 이들을 세우기 위해 우리를 사용해주셔서 감사합니다.

가진 것으로 할 수 있는 일을 다 하고 결과는 하나님께 맡겨라.

42. 죽은 자의 부활도 그와 같으니 썩을 것으로 심고 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살아나며

43. 욕된 것으로 심고 영광스러운 것으로 다시 살아나며 약한 것으로 심고 강한 것으로 다시 살아나며

44. 육의 몸으로 심고 신령한 몸으로 다시 살아나나니 육의 몸이 있은즉 또 영의 몸도 있느니라

45. 기록된 바 첫 사람 아담은 생령이 되었다 함과 같이 마지막 아담은 살려 주는 영이 되었나니

46. 그러나 먼저는 신령한 사람이 아니요 육의 사람이요 그 다음에 신령한 사람이니라

47. 첫 사람은 땅에서 났으니 흙에 속한 자이거니와 둘째 사람은 하늘에서 나셨느니라

48. 무릇 흙에 속한 자들은 저 흙에 속한 자와 같고 무릇 하늘에 속한 자들은 저 하늘에 속한 이와 같으니

49. 우리가 흙에 속한 자의 형상을 입은 것 같이 또한 하늘에 속한 이의 형상을 입으리라

50. 형제들아 내가 이것을 말하노니 혈과 육은 하나님 나라를 이어 받을 수 없고 또한 썩는 것은 썩지 아니하는 것을 유업으로 받지 못하느니라

51. 보라 내가 너희에게 비밀을 말하노니 우리가 다 잠 잘 것이 아니요 마지막 나팔에 순식간에 홀연히 다 변화되리니

52. 나팔 소리가 나매 죽은 자들이 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살아나고 우리도 변화되리라

53. 이 썩을 것이 반드시 썩지 아니할 것을 입겠고 이 죽을 것이 죽지 아니함을 입으리로다

54. 이 썩을 것이 썩지 아니함을 입고 이 죽을 것이 죽지 아니함을 입을 때에는 사망을 삼키고 이기리라고 기록된 말씀이 이루어지리라

55. 사망아 너의 승리가 어디 있느냐 사망아 네가 쏘는 것이 어디 있느냐

56. 사망이 쏘는 것은 죄요 죄의 권능은 율법이라

57. 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리에게 승리를 주시는 하나님께 감사하노니

58. 그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라 이는 너희 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 앎이라
