Someone to Touch		손 내밀어 만져줄 사람
[ Luke 5:12 - 5:16 ] - hymn 472 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. Luke 5:13 Commuters on a Canadian Metro train witnessed a heart-moving conclusion to a tense moment. They watched as a 70-year old woman gently reached out and offered her hand to a young man whose loud voice and disturbing words were scaring other passengers. The lady¡¯s kindness calmed the man who sank to the floor of the train with tears in his eyes. He said, ¡°Thanks, Grandma,¡± stood up, and walked away. The woman later admitted to being afraid. But she said, ¡°I¡¯m a mother and he needed someone to touch.¡± While better judgment might have given her reason to keep her distance, she took a risk of love. Jesus understands such compassion. He didn¡¯t side with the fears of unnerved onlookers when a desperate man, full of leprosy, showed up begging to be healed. Neither was He helpless as other religious leaders were—men who could only have condemned the man for bringing his leprosy into the village(Lev. 13:45–46). Instead, Jesus reached out to someone who probably hadn¡¯t been touched by anyone for years, and healed him. Thankfully, for that man and for us, Jesus came to offer what no law could ever offer—the touch of His hand and heart. Mart DeHaan		[ 누가복음 5:12 - 5:16 ] - 찬송가 472 장 예수께서 손을 내밀어 저에게 대시며 누가복음 5:13 캐나다에서 지하철로 통근하는 사람들은 긴장된 순간이 가슴 뭉클한 결과로 바뀌는 현장을 목격했습니다. 그들은 한 젊은이가 큰 소리로 막말을 해대어 다른 승객들이 불안해하고 있을 때, 70대의 한 여인이 그에게 부드럽게 다가가 손을 내미는 것을 지켜보았습니다. 그 여인의 친절한 행동으로 그 젊은이는 안정을 되찾고, 눈에 눈물이 그득한 채로 전동차의 바닥에 주저앉았습니다. 그리고 “할머니, 감사합니다.”라고 말한 뒤 일어나 걸어갔습니다. 나중에 그 여인은 자기도 무서웠다고 하면서, 하지만 “난 한 사람의 엄마이고, 그에게는 그를 다독여줄 누군가가 필요했어요.”라고 말했습니다. 그녀는 멀리 떨어져 간섭하지 않는 것이 더 좋겠다고 판단할 수도 있었지만, 위험을 무릅쓰고 사랑을 선택했던 것입니다. 예수님은 그와 같이 긍휼히 여기는 마음을 이해하십니다. 주님은 나병이 심해져 절망에 빠진 사람이 고쳐주시기를 애원하며 나타났을 때, 겁먹은 방관자처럼 두려워하며 옆에 비켜 서 계시지 않았습니다. 그리고 나병을 마을로 가져왔다고 그 사람을 비난 밖에 할 수 없었던 다른 종교지도자들처럼 무기력하지도 않으셨습니다(레 13:45-46). 그 대신 아마도 오랫동안 어느 누구도 만져주지 않았을 그 사람에게 손을 내밀어 그를 고쳐주셨습니다. 감사하게도 예수님은 그 사람과 우리를 위해, 어떤 율법도 제공해주지 못한 것, 곧 주님의 손과 마음으로 우리를 만지시려고 오셨습니다.

• Father in heaven, please help us to see ourselves and one another in that desperate man—and in the merciful eyes of Your Son who reached out and touched him.

No one is too troubled or unclean to be touched by Jesus.

12. While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean."
13. Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!" And immediately the leprosy left him.
14. Then Jesus ordered him, "Don't tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them."
15. Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
16. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

• 하나님 아버지, 그 절망적인 사람의 마음과, 그리고 그에게 손을 내밀어 만지신 주님의 자비로운 눈길로 우리 자신과 서로의 모습들을 볼 수 있도록 도와주소서.

예수님이 만지시기에 너무 문제가 많거나 더러운 사람은 아무도 없다.

12. 예수께서 한 동네에 계실 때에 온 몸에 나병 들린 사람이 있어 예수를 보고 엎드려 구하여 이르되 주여 원하시면 나를 깨끗하게 하실 수 있나이다 하니
13. 예수께서 손을 내밀어 그에게 대시며 이르시되 내가 원하노니 깨끗함을 받으라 하신대 나병이 곧 떠나니라
14. 예수께서 그를 경고하시되 아무에게도 이르지 말고 가서 제사장에게 네 몸을 보이고 또 네가 깨끗하게 됨으로 인하여 모세가 명한 대로 예물을 드려 그들에게 입증하라 하셨더니
15. 예수의 소문이 더욱 퍼지매 수많은 무리가 말씀도 듣고 자기 병도 고침을 받고자 하여 모여 오되
16. 예수는 물러가사 한적한 곳에서 기도하시니라
