Within a Stone¡¯s Throw		돌을 던지면 닿을 만큼 가까이
[ John 7:53 - 8:11 ] - hymn 251 Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. - John 8:7 As a group of religious leaders herded an adulterous woman toward Jesus, they couldn¡¯t know they were carrying her within a stone¡¯s throw of grace. Their hope was to discredit Him. If He told them to let the woman go, they could claim He was breaking Mosaic law. But if He condemned her to death, the crowds following Him would have dismissed His words of mercy and grace. But Jesus turned the tables on the accusers. Scripture says that rather than answering them directly, He started writing on the ground. When the leaders continued to question Him, He invited any of them who had never sinned to throw the first stone, and then He started writing on the ground again. The next time He looked up, all the accusers were gone. Now the only person who could have thrown a stone—the only sinless one—looked at the woman and gave her mercy. ¡°¡®Then neither do I condemn you,¡¯Jesus declared.¡®Go now and leave your life of sin¡¯¡±(John 8:11). Whether today finds you needing forgiveness for judging others or desiring assurance that no sin is beyond His grace, be encouraged by this: No one is throwing stones today; go and be changed by God¡¯s mercy. - Randy Kilgore		[ 요한복음 7:53 - 8:11 ] - 찬송가 251 장 너희 중에 죄 없는 자가 먼저 돌로 치라 - 요한복음 8:7 종교지도자들이 무리를 지어 간음한 여인을 예수님께로 끌고 왔을 때, 그들은 그들이 그 여자를 예수님의 은혜에 돌을 던지면 닿을 듯 가까이 데려가고 있음을 알지 못했습니다. 그들은 예수님을 곤경에 빠뜨리고 싶어 했습니다. 만약 예수님이 그 여자를 보내주라고 한다면 그들은 예수님이 모세의 율법을 어긴다고 주장할 수 있었고, 또 만약 예수님이 여자를 죽이라고 한다면 그를 따르는 군중들이 예수님의 자비와 은혜의 말씀을 저버릴 것이었습니다. 그러나 예수님은 고소인들의 그 상황을 반전시키셨습니다. 성경은 예수님이 그들에게 아무 말씀도 안 하시고 땅에 글씨를 쓰기 시작하셨다고 말합니다. 종교지도자들이 계속해서 예수님께 묻자, 주님은 누구든지 죄 없는 사람이 먼저 돌을 던지라고 하시며 땅에 다시 글씨를 쓰기 시작하셨습니다. 주님이 다시 고개를 드셨을 때 고소하던 사람들은 그 자리에 아무도 없었습니다. 죄가 없기에 돌을 던질 수 있는 오직 한 사람이 이제 여인을 보고 자비를 베푸셨습니다. “예수께서 이르시되 나도 너를 정죄하지 아니하노니 가서 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하시니라”(요 8:11). 오늘 당신이 다른 사람들을 비판한 것을 용서받아야 한다든지, 또는 하나님의 은혜로 용서 받지 못할 죄가 없다는 것에 대한 확신이 필요하다면, 다음의 말에 용기를 얻으십시오. “아무도 돌을 던지지 않으니 지금 가서 하나님의 자비로 변화되어라.”

Father, cleanse me of my judging nature and free me from the bonds of sin. Let me taste Your mercy and then help me to live a changed life.

We serve a Savior who is eager to forgive.

John 7:53–8:11

[53] And everyone went to his own house.
[8:1] But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
[2] Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.
[3] Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst,
[4] they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.
[5] "Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?"
[6] This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.
[7] So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."
[8] And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
[9] Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
[10] When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"
[11] She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

하나님 아버지, 남을 판단하는 나의 천성을 깨끗케 해주시고 나로 죄의 속박에서 벗어나게 해주소서. 하나님의 자비를 경험하고 변화된 삶을 살게 도와주소서.

우리는 우리를 기꺼이 용서해주시려는 구주를 섬기고 있다.

[53] [다 각각 집으로 돌아가고
[8:1] 예수는 감람 산으로 가시니라
[2] 아침에 다시 성전으로 들어오시니 백성이 다 나아오는지라 앉으사 그들을 가르치시더니
[3] 서기관들과 바리새인들이 음행중에 잡힌 여자를 끌고 와서 가운데 세우고
[4] 예수께 말하되 선생이여 이 여자가 간음하다가 현장에서 잡혔나이다
[5] 모세는 율법에 이러한 여자를 돌로 치라 명하였거니와 선생은 어떻게 말하겠나이까
[6] 그들이 이렇게 말함은 고발할 조건을 얻고자 하여 예수를 시험함이러라 예수께서 몸을 굽히사 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니
[7] 그들이 묻기를 마지 아니하는지라 이에 일어나 이르시되 너희 중에 죄 없는 자가 먼저 돌로 치라 하시고
[8] 다시 몸을 굽혀 손가락으로 땅에 쓰시니
[9] 그들이 이 말씀을 듣고 양심에 가책을 느껴 어른으로 시작하여 젊은이까지 하나씩 하나씩 나가고 오직 예수와 그 가운데 섰는 여자만 남았더라
[10] 예수께서 일어나사 여자 외에 아무도 없는 것을 보시고 이르시되 여자여 너를 고발하던 그들이 어디 있느냐 너를 정죄한 자가 없느냐
[11] 대답하되 주여 없나이다 예수께서 이르시되 나도 너를 정죄하지 아니하노니 가서 다시는 죄를 범하지 말라 하시니라]
