Ready for the Wedding		결혼식 준비
[ Matthew 25:1 - 25:13 ] - hymn 176 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. - Matthew 25:13 ¡°I¡¯m hungry,¡± said my eight-year-old daughter. ¡°I¡¯m sorry,¡± I said, ¡°I don¡¯t have anything for you. Let¡¯s play tic-tac-toe.¡± We had been waiting over an hour for the bride to arrive at the church for what was supposed to be a noon wedding. As I wondered how much longer it would be, I hoped I could occupy my daughter until the wedding started. As we waited, I felt like we were enacting a parable. Although the vicarage where we live is a stone¡¯s throw from the church, I knew if I went to fetch some crackers, the bride could come at any moment and I would miss her entrance. As I employed many distraction techniques with my hungry daughter, I also thought about Jesus¡¯s parable about the ten virgins (Matt.25:1–13). Five came prepared with enough oil for their lamps to stay lit as they waited for the bridegroom, but five did not. Just as it was too late for me to dash back to the vicarage, so it was too late for the young women to go and buy more oil for their lamps. Jesus told this parable to emphasize that we need to be prepared, for when He comes again we will give an account over the state of our hearts. Matthew 25:1–13

[1] "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
[2] "Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
[3] "Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
[4] "but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
[5] "But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
[6] "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
[7] "Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
[8] "And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
[9] "But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
[10] "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
[11] "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
[12] "But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
[13] "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

당신은 살면서 예수님의 재림을 어떻게 기다리고 있습니까?

우리는 예수님의 재림을 준비하고 있어야 한다.

[2] 그 중의 다섯은 미련하고 다섯은 슬기 있는 자라
[3] 미련한 자들은 등을 가지되 기름을 가지지 아니하고
[4] 슬기 있는 자들은 그릇에 기름을 담아 등과 함께 가져갔더니
[5] 신랑이 더디 오므로 다 졸며 잘새
[6] 밤중에 소리가 나되 보라 신랑이로다 맞으러 나오라 하매
[7] 이에 그 처녀들이 다 일어나 등을 준비할새
[8] 미련한 자들이 슬기 있는 자들에게 이르되 우리 등불이 꺼져가니 너희 기름을 좀 나눠 달라 하거늘
[9] 슬기 있는 자들이 대답하여 이르되 우리와 너희가 쓰기에 다 부족할까 하노니 차라리 파는 자들에게 가서 너희 쓸 것을 사라 하니
[10] 그들이 사러 간 사이에 신랑이 오므로 준비하였던 자들은 함께 혼인 잔치에 들어가고 문은 닫힌지라
[11] 그 후에 남은 처녀들이 와서 이르되 주여 주여 우리에게 열어 주소서
[12] 대답하여 이르되 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 내가 너희를 알지 못하노라 하였느니라
[13] 그런즉 깨어 있으라 너희는 그 날과 그 때를 알지 못하느니라
