[ Hebrews 1:1 - 1:12 ] - hymn 366 What we have received is ... the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. - 1 Corinthians 2:12 Recently, my son-in-law was explaining to my granddaughter Maggie that we can talk with God and that He communicates with us. When Ewing told Maggie that God sometimes speaks to us through the Bible, she responded without hesitation: ¡°Well, He¡¯s never said anything to me. I¡¯ve never heard God talk to me.¡± Most of us would probably agree with Maggie, if hearing an audible voice telling us, ¡°Sell your house, and go take care of orphans in a faraway land,¡± is what we mean by God communicating with us. But when we talk about hearing God ¡°speak,¡± we usually mean something quite different. We ¡°hear¡± God through reading Scripture. The Bible tells us about Jesus and says that God ¡°has spoken to us by his Son¡± who is ¡°the radiance of God¡¯s glory and the exact representation of his being¡±(Heb.1:2–3). Scripture tells us how to find salvation in Jesus and how to live in ways that please Him (2 Tim.3:14–17). In addition to Scripture itself, we have the Holy Spirit. First Corinthians 2:12 says that we are given the Spirit ¡°so that we may understand what God has freely given us.¡± Has it been a while since you¡¯ve heard from God? Talk to Him and listen to the Spirit, who reveals Jesus to us through His Word. Tune in to the wonderful things God has to say to you.		[ 히브리서 1:1 - 1:12 ] - 찬송가 366 장 우리가…하나님으로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하여금 하나님께서 우리에게 은혜로 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라 - 고린도전서 2:12 얼마 전에 우리 사위가 손녀딸 매기에게 우리는 하나님께 말할 수 있고, 하나님은 우리와 대화하신다는 것을 설명하고 있었습니다. 사위 유윙이 매기에게 하나님은 때때로 성경을 통해 우리에게 말씀하신다고 하였더니, 그 애는 아무 거리낌 없이 “그런데, 하나님이 나에게 말씀하신 적은 한 번도 없어요. 나는 하나님이 나에게 말씀하는 것을 들은 적이 없어요.”라고 대답하였습니다. 만일 귀에 들리는 소리로 우리에게 “네 집을 팔아 먼 나라에 가서 고아들을 돌보아라.”라고 하는 것이 하나님이 우리와 대화하는 것을 의미한다면, 아마 우리 대부분은 매기의 말에 동의할 것입니다. 그러나 우리가 하나님의 ‘음성’을 듣는다는 것은 대개는 아주 다른 어떤 것을 의미합니다. 우리는 성경말씀을 읽으면서 하나님의 음성을 “듣습니다.” 성경은 예수님에 대해 말하면서, 하나님께서 하나님의 영광의 광채시요, 하나님의 본체대로의 모습이신 그분의 아들을 통해 우리에게 말씀하셨다고 말합니다(히 1:2-3). 성경은 어떻게 예수님 안에서 구원을 얻을 수 있으며, 어떻게 하면 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 삶을 살 수 있는지 말해줍니다 (딤후 3:14-17). 그리고 우리에게는 성경뿐만 아니라 성령님도 계십니다. 고린도전서 2장 12절은 “하나님께서 우리에게 은혜로 주신 것들을 알게” 하려고 성령님을 우리에게 주셨다고 말합니다. 하나님의 음성을 들은 지 꽤 오래 되셨습니까? 그렇다면 하나님께 말씀드리고, 하나님의 말씀을 통해 예수님을 우리에게 나타내시는 성령님께 귀를 기울이십시오. 하나님께서 당신에게 말씀하시는 놀라운 일들에 귀를 기울여보십시오.

Speak to me, Lord. Help me to understand the message of Scripture, the lessons of Jesus, and the urgings of the Holy Spirit.

God speaks through His Word when we take time to listen.

Hebrews 1:1–12

[1] God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
[2] has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
[3] who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
[4] having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
[5] For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son"?
[6] But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "Let all the angels of God worship Him."
[7] And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire."
[8] But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.
[9] You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions."
[10] And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
[11] They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment;
[12] Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail."

주님, 제게 말씀해주소서. 성경의 메시지와 예수님의 가르침과 성령님의 권고하시는 것을 깨달아 알도록 도와주소서.

우리가 시간을 내어 듣고자 할 때 하나님은 성경을 통해 우리에게 말씀하신다.

히브리서 1:1–12

[1] 옛적에 선지자들을 통하여 여러 부분과 여러 모양으로 우리 조상들에게 말씀하신 하나님이
[2] 이 모든 날 마지막에는 아들을 통하여 우리에게 말씀하셨으니 이 아들을 만유의 상속자로 세우시고 또 그로 말미암아 모든 세계를 지으셨느니라
[3] 이는 하나님의 영광의 광채시요 그 본체의 형상이시라 그의 능력의 말씀으로 만물을 붙드시며 죄를 정결하게 하는 일을 하시고 높은 곳에 계신 지극히 크신 이의 우편에 앉으셨느니라
[4] 그가 천사보다 훨씬 뛰어남은 그들보다 더욱 아름다운 이름을 기업으로 얻으심이니
[5] 하나님께서 어느 때에 천사 중 누구에게 너는 내 아들이라 오늘 내가 너를 낳았다 하셨으며 또 다시 나는 그에게 아버지가 되고 그는 내게 아들이 되리라 하셨느냐
[6] 또 그가 맏아들을 이끌어 세상에 다시 들어오게 하실 때에 하나님의 모든 천사들은 그에게 경배할지어다 말씀하시며
[7] 또 천사들에 관하여는 그는 그의 천사들을 바람으로, 그의 사역자들을 불꽃으로 삼으시느니라 하셨으되
[8] 아들에 관하여는 하나님이여 주의 보좌는 영영하며 주의 나라의 규는 공평한 규이니이다
[9] 주께서 의를 사랑하시고 불법을 미워하셨으니 그러므로 하나님 곧 주의 하나님이 즐거움의 기름을 주께 부어 주를 동류들보다 뛰어나게 하셨도다 하였고
[10] 또 주여 태초에 주께서 땅의 기초를 두셨으며 하늘도 주의 손으로 지으신 바라
[11] 그것들은 멸망할 것이나 오직 주는 영존할 것이요 그것들은 다 옷과 같이 낡아지리니
[12] 의복처럼 갈아입을 것이요 그것들은 옷과 같이 변할 것이나 주는 여전하여 연대가 다함이 없으리라 하였으나
