Who¡¯s Watching You?		누가 당신을 보고 있는가?
[ Psalms 34:15 - 34:22 ] - hymn 374 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous. - Psalm 34:15 No matter where the athletes of the 2016 Olympics go in the city of Rio de Janeiro, they can see Jesus. Standing high above this Brazilian city and anchored to a 2,310-foot-high mountain called Corcovado is a 100-foot-tall sculpture called Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer). With arms spread wide, this massive figure is visible day and night from almost anywhere in the sprawling city. As comforting as this iconic concrete and soapstone sculpture may be to all who can look up and see it, there is much greater comfort from this reality: The real Jesus sees us. In Psalm 34, David explained it like this: ¡°The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry¡±(v.15). He noted that when the righteous call out for His help, ¡°The Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit¡±(vv.17–18). Just who are the righteous? Those of us who place our trust in Jesus Christ, who Himself is our righteousness (1 Cor.1:30). Our God oversees our lives, and He hears the cries of those who trust Him. He is near to help in our greatest times of need. Jesus has His eyes on you.		[ 시편 34:15 - 34:22 ] - 찬송가 374 장 여호와의 눈은 의인을 향하시고 - 시편 34:15 2016년 올림픽에 참가하는 선수들은 리우데자네이루 시의 어느 곳을 가든지 예수님을 볼 수 있습니다. 이 브라질의 도시에 있는 30미터 높이의 조각상은 크리스토 레덴토르(구주 그리스도)라고 불리며, 704미터 높이의 콜코바두 산에 그 두 발을 딛고 높이 서 있습니다. 두 팔을 활짝 펴고 있는 이 거대한 석상은 밤이고 낮이고 넓게 퍼져있는 이 도시의 어디서나 볼 수 있습니다. 콘크리트와 활석으로 만든 이 상징적인 조각은 올려다보는 모든 사람들에게 평안함을 줄 수 있습니다. 그렇지만, 살아계신 예수님이 우리를 보고 계시다는 사실이 우리에게 훨씬 더 큰 평안함을 줍니다. 시편 34편에서 다윗은 그런 사실을 다음과 같이 표현했습니다. “여호와의 눈은 의인을 향하시고 그 귀는 그들의 부르짖음에 기울이시는도다”(15절). 그는 의인들이 주님의 도움을 구하며 부르짖을 때, “여호와께서 들으시고 그들의 모든 환난에서 건지셨도다 여호와는 마음이 상한 자를 가까이 하시고 충심으로 통회하는 자를 구원하시는도다”(17-18절)라고 말합니다. 그러면 누가 의인일까요? 우리의 의가 되시는 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람들입니다(고전 1:30). 우리 하나님은 우리의 삶을 내려다보시고, 그분을 믿는 자들의 부르짖음을 들으십니다. 하나님은 우리가 가장 필요로 하는 순간에 우리를 도우시려고 가까이 계십니다. 예수님이 당신을 지켜보고 계십니다.

Sometimes, Lord, life seems out of control and I don¡¯t know exactly which direction to take. Thank You for overseeing my life and prompting me in the right way through Your Word and Your Spirit.

The Lord never lets us out of His sight.

Psalm 34:15–22

[15] The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.
[16] The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
[17] The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
[18] The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
[19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.
[20] He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
[21] Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
[22] The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.

주님, 때때로 삶이 통제될 수 없어 보일 때 정확히 어떤 길을 취해야 할지를 모릅니다. 그럴 때 제 삶을 지켜보시고 주님의 말씀과 성령으로 올바른 길로 인도해주시니 감사합니다.

주님은 결코 우리에게서 눈을 떼지 않으신다.

[15] 여호와의 눈은 의인을 향하시고 그의 귀는 그들의 부르짖음에 기울이시는도다
[16] 여호와의 얼굴은 악을 행하는 자를 향하사 그들의 자취를 땅에서 끊으려 하시는도다
[17] 의인이 부르짖으매 여호와께서 들으시고 그들의 모든 환난에서 건지셨도다
[18] 여호와는 마음이 상한 자를 가까이 하시고 충심으로 통회하는 자를 구원하시는도다
[19] 의인은 고난이 많으나 여호와께서 그의 모든 고난에서 건지시는도다
[20] 그의 모든 뼈를 보호하심이여 그 중에서 하나도 꺾이지 아니하도다
[21] 악이 악인을 죽일 것이라 의인을 미워하는 자는 벌을 받으리로다
[22] 여호와께서 그의 종들의 영혼을 속량하시나니 그에게 피하는 자는 다 벌을 받지 아니하리로다
