Love Your Neighbor		네 이웃을 사랑하라
[ Romans 13:8 - 13:11 ] - hymn 216 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ¡°Love your neighbor as yourself.¡±- Galatians 5:14 An anthropologist was winding up several months of research in a small village, the story is told. While waiting for a ride to the airport for his return flight home, he decided to pass the time by making up a game for some children. His idea was to create a race for a basket of fruit and candy that he placed near a tree. But when he gave the signal to run, no one made a dash for the finish line. Instead the children joined hands and ran together to the tree. When asked why they chose to run as a group rather than each racing for the prize, a little girl spoke up and said: ¡°How could one of us be happy when all of the others are sad?¡± Because these children cared about each other, they wanted all to share the basket of fruit and candy. After years of studying the law of Moses, the apostle Paul found that all of God¡¯s laws could be summed up in one: ¡°Love your neighbor as yourself¡±(Gal.5:14; see also Rom.13:9). In Christ, Paul saw not only the reason to encourage, comfort, and care for one another but also the spiritual enablement to do it. Because He cares for us, we care for each other. — Mart DeHaan		[ 로마서 13:8 - 13:11 ] - 찬송가 216 장 온 율법은 네 이웃 사랑하기를 네 자신 같이 하라 하신 한 말씀에서 이루어졌나니 - 갈라디아서 5:14 한 인류학자가 어떤 작은 마을에서 수개월 간의 연구를 마무리하고 있었다고 합니다. 집으로 가는 비행기를 탈 공항으로 데려다줄 차를 기다리는 동안, 그는 아이들과 게임을 하며 시간을 보내기로 마음먹었습니다. 그는 과일과 사탕이 들어있는 바구니를 나무 근처에 놓고 달리기를 시키려고 했는데, 그가 달리라고 신호를 주었는데도 아무도 먼저 뛰어나가지 않았습니다. 그 대신에 아이들은 손에 손을 붙잡고 함께 나무를 향해 달렸습니다. 왜 상품을 위해 각자 달리지 않고 함께 달리기로 했느냐는 질문에 한 소녀가 나서서 말했습니다. “다른 아이들이 모두 슬픈데 어떻게 혼자만 행복해질 수 있나요?” 이 아이들은 서로서로를 아끼고 있었기 때문에 과일과 사탕이 든 바구니를 모두가 함께 나누기를 원했던 것입니다. 모세의 율법을 오랫동안 공부한 후에 바울사도는 하나님 모든 계명은 “네 이웃 사랑하기를 네 자신 같이 하라”(갈 5:14; 롬 13:9 참조)라는 한 계명으로 요약될 수 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 그리스도 안에서 바울은, 서로를 격려하고 위로하며 돌보아야 할 이유뿐만 아니라, 그런 것들을 행할 수 있는 영적인 능력도 함께 보았습니다. 주님이 우리를 돌보시기에 우리도 서로를 돌보는 것입니다.

Father, thank You for the love You shower on us day by day. Teach us, in turn, to care for others. Open our eyes to see their need and respond as You want us to.

We show our love for God when we love one another.

Romans 13:8–11

[8] Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
[9] For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not bear false witness," "You shall not covet," and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
[10] Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
[11] And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

하나님 아버지, 매일 매일 우리에게 부어주시는 사랑에 감사드립니다. 그에 따라 우리도 다른 사람들을 돌보아주게 가르쳐주소서. 우리의 눈을 열어 그들의 필요를 보게 하시고, 하나님이 우리에게 바라시는 대로 행하게 하소서.

우리가 서로를 사랑할 때 하나님을 향한 우리의 사랑을 보여준다.

로마서 13:8-11

[8] 피차 사랑의 빚 외에는 아무에게든지 아무 빚도 지지 말라 남을 사랑하는 자는 율법을 다 이루었느니라
[9] 간음하지 말라, 살인하지 말라, 도둑질하지 말라, 탐내지 말라 한 것과 그 외에 다른 계명이 있을지라도 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 그 말씀 가운데 다 들었느니라
[10] 사랑은 이웃에게 악을 행하지 아니하나니 그러므로 사랑은 율법의 완성이니라
[11] 또한 너희가 이 시기를 알거니와 자다가 깰 때가 벌써 되었으니 이는 이제 우리의 구원이 처음 믿을 때보다 가까웠음이라
