No Drifting		표류하지 말라
[ Hebrews 2:1 - 2:4 ] - hymn 406 We must pay the most careful attention ... so that we do not drift away. - Hebrews 2:1 At the end of one school semester, my wife and I picked up our daughter from her school 100 kilometers (60 miles) away. On our way back home we detoured to a nearby beach resort for snacks. While enjoying our time there, we watched the boats at the seashore. Usually they are anchored to prevent them from drifting away, but I noticed one boat drifting unhindered among the others—slowly and steadily making its way out to sea. As we drove home, I reflected on the timely caution given to believers in the book of Hebrews: "We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away" (Heb. 2:1). We have good reason to stay close. The author of Hebrews says that while the Mosaic law was reliable and needed to be obeyed, the message of the Son of God is far superior. Our salvation is ¡°so great¡± in Jesus that He shouldn¡¯t be ignored (v.3). God, stay anchored to the Rock. Drifting in our relationship with God is hardly noticeable at first; it happens gradually. However, spending time talking with Him in prayer and reading His Word, confessing our wrongs to Him, and interacting with other followers of Jesus can help us stay anchored in Him. As we connect with the Lord regularly, He will be faithful to sustain us, and we can avoid drifting away. — Lawrence Darmani		[ 히브리서 2:1 - 2:4 ] - 찬송가 406 장 그러므로 우리는 들은 것에 더욱 유념함으로 우리가 흘러 떠내려가지 않도록 함이 마땅하니라 - 히브리서 2:1 학기가 끝나자 나와 아내는 100킬로미터 떨어져 있는 학교에서 딸아이를 데리고 왔습니다. 돌아오는 길에 우리는 간단한 식사를 위해 한 바닷가 유흥지에 들러, 즐기며 바닷가에 떠 있는 배들을 지켜봤습니다. 보통 배들은 해류에 떠내려가지 않게 닻을 내리고 있는데, 배 하나가 다른 배들 사이로 이리저리 떠다니며, 서서히 그리고 계속해서 바다 쪽으로 나아가고 있었습니다. 집으로 돌아오며 나는 히브리서에서 신자들에게 주었던 경고를 떠올렸습니다. “그러므로 우리는 들은 것에 더욱 유념함으로 우리가 흘러 떠내려가지 않도록 함이 마땅하니라”(히 2:1). 우리에게는 서로 가까이 머물러있어야 할 타당한 이유가 있습니다. 히브리서 저자는 모세 율법은 믿을 만하며 지켜져야 하지만, 하나님의 아들 예수님의 메시지가 훨씬 더 큰 권위를 가진다고 말합니다. 예수님 안에서의 우리의 구속이 너무 엄청난 것이기에 예수님이 간과되어서는 안 됩니다(3절). 하나님과의 관계에서 이리저리 표류하는 것은 조금씩 드러나기 때문에 처음에는 알아차리기가 힘듭니다. 하지만 우리가 시간을 내어 주님과 기도로 대화하며, 주님의 말씀을 읽고, 우리가 잘못한 것들을 회개하며, 주님의 다른 동역자들과 교류할 때, 우리는 주님 안에 닻을 내리고 정착할 수 있습니다. 우리가 주님과 규칙적으로 연결되어 있을 때, 주님은 우리를 신실하게 지탱해주시고, 우리는 이리저리 떠내려가는 것을 모면할 수 있습니다.

Hebrews 2:1–4

[1] Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
[2] For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,
[3] how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
[4] God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?

[2] 천사들을 통하여 하신 말씀이 견고하게 되어 모든 범죄함과 순종하지 아니함이 공정한 보응을 받았거든
[3] 우리가 이같이 큰 구원을 등한히 여기면 어찌 그 보응을 피하리요 이 구원은 처음에 주로 말씀하신 바요 들은 자들이 우리에게 확증한 바니
[4] 하나님도 표적들과 기사들과 여러 가지 능력과 및 자기의 뜻을 따라 성령이 나누어 주신 것으로써 그들과 함께 증언하셨느니라
