Serving Christ		그리스도를 섬김
[ Ephesians 6:5 - 6:9 ] - hymn 211 Obey [your earthly masters] ... as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. - Ephesians 6:6 ¡°I¡¯m a secretary,¡± a friend told me. ¡°When I tell people this, they sometimes look at me with a certain pity. But when they find out who I am secretary for, they open their eyes with admiration!¡± In other words, society often defines some jobs as less important than others, unless those jobs happen to relate in some way to rich or famous people. For the child of God, however, any occupation, regardless of the earthly boss, can be held proudly because we serve the Lord Jesus. In Ephesians 6, Paul talks to servants and masters. He reminds both groups that we serve one Master who is in heaven. So we need to do everything with sincerity of heart, integrity, and respect because we are serving and working for Christ Himself. As the apostle Paul reminds us, ¡°Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people¡±(Eph.6:7). What a privilege to serve God in everything we do, whether answering a phone or driving a car or doing housework or running a business. Let us work with a smile today, remembering that no matter what we are doing, we are serving God. — Keila Ochoa		[ 에베소서 6:5 - 6:9 ] - 찬송가 211 장 그리스도의 종들처럼 마음으로 하나님의 뜻을 행하고 - 에베소서 6:6 한 친구가 내게 이렇게 말한 적이 있습니다. “사람들에게 내가 ‘비서’라고 말하면 그들은 나를 동정 어린 눈빛으로 바라본다. 하지만 내가 누구의 비서인지 알고 나면, 그들은 곧 눈이 커지며 존경의 눈빛을 보내지.” 다시 말해, 세상 사람들은 어떤 식으로든 부자나 유명인과 관련되어 있지 않다면 어떤 직업은 다른 직업보다 덜 중요하다고 평가하는 경우가 많습니다. 그러나 하나님의 자녀는 우리가 주 예수님을 섬기고 있기 때문에 그 직장의 상사가 누구이든, 어떤 직업이더라도 상관없이 자부심을 가지고 일할 수 있습니다. 에베소서 6장에서 바울은 종들과 주인들에게 이야기하면서, 그들 모두가 하늘에 계신 주님을 섬기고 있음을 상기시키고 있습니다. 그러므로 우리는 그리스도를 섬기며 그분을 위해 일하고 있기 때문에, 모든 일을 할 때 진실한 마음으로 성실하게, 그리고 겸손하게 해야 합니다. 바울 사도는 이렇게 권면합니다. “기쁜 마음으로 섬기기를 주께 하듯 하고 사람들에게 하듯 하지 말라”(엡 6:7). 우리가 전화를 받든, 운전을 하든, 집안일을 하든, 사업을 운영하든, 우리가 하는 모든 일에서 하나님을 섬길 수 있다는 것이 얼마나 큰 특권인지 모릅니다. 우리가 오늘 무슨 일을 하든지 그것이 하나님을 섬기는 것임을 기억하고 웃음을 머금고 일을 합시다.

Lord Jesus, I want to serve You in everything I do. Help me, as I begin each day, to remember this.

Serving shows our love for God.

Ephesians 6:5–9

[5] Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;
[6] not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
[7] with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,
[8] knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
[9] And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

주 예수님, 제가 하는 모든 일에서 주님을 섬기기를 원합니다.
매일 하루를 시작할 때, 이것을 기억할 수 있도록 도와주소서.

하나님을 향한 우리의 사랑은 섬김을 통해 드러난다.

에베소서 6:5–9

[5] 종들아 두려워하고 떨며 성실한 마음으로 육체의 상전에게 순종하기를 그리스도께 하듯 하라
[6] 눈가림만 하여 사람을 기쁘게 하는 자처럼 하지 말고 그리스도의 종들처럼 마음으로 하나님의 뜻을 행하고
[7] 기쁜 마음으로 섬기기를 주께 하듯 하고 사람들에게 하듯 하지 말라
[8] 이는 각 사람이 무슨 선을 행하든지 종이나 자유인이나 주께로부터 그대로 받을 줄을 앎이라
[9] 상전들아 너희도 그들에게 이와 같이 하고 위협을 그치라 이는 그들과 너희의 상전이 하늘에 계시고 그에게는 사람을 외모로 취하는 일이 없는 줄 너희가 앎이라
