A Remote Location		멀리 떨어진 곳
[ Mark 8:1 - 8:13 ] - hymn 93 My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:19 Tristan da Cunha Island is famous for its isolation. It is the most remote inhabited island in the world, thanks to the 288 people who call it home. The island is located in the South Atlantic Ocean, 1,750 miles from South Africa—the nearest mainland. Anyone who might want to drop by for a visit has to travel by boat for seven days because the island has no airstrip. Jesus and His followers were in a somewhat remote area when He produced a miraculous meal for thousands of hungry people. Before His miracle, Jesus said to His disciples, ¡°[These people] have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way¡±(Mark 8:2-3). Because they were in the countryside where food was not readily available, they had to depend fully on Jesus. They had nowhere else to turn. Sometimes God allows us to end up in desolate places where He is our only source of help. His ability to provide for us is not necessarily linked with our circumstances. If He created the entire world out of nothing, God can certainly meet our needs—whatever our circumstances—out of the riches of His glory, in Christ Jesus (Phil.4:19). — Jennifer Benson Schuldt		[ 마가복음 8:1 - 8:13 ] - 찬송가 93 장 나의 하나님이 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광 가운데 그 풍성한 대로 너희 모든 쓸 것을 채우시리라 - 빌립보서 4:19 트리스탄 다 쿤하 섬은 외따로 떨어져 있는 것으로 유명합니다. 288명의 주민이 살고 있기 때문에 그 섬은 사람이 거주하는 섬으로는 가장 멀리 떨어진 섬입니다. 남대서양에 있는 그 섬은 가장 가까운 육지인 남아프리카에서 약 2816 킬로미터나 떨어져 있습니다. 만약 누구든지 잠시 방문하려 해도 섬에 활주로가 없기 때문에 배로 꼬박 7일을 가야 합니다. 수천 명의 배고픈 이들에게 기적의 음식을 먹이셨던 그 때에 예수님과 그 제자들도 꽤 멀리 떨어진 곳에 있었습니다. 주님이 기적을 행하시기 전, 예수님은 제자들에게 “그들이 나와 함께 있은 지 이미 사흘이 지났으나 먹을 것이 없도다 만일 내가 그들을 굶겨 집으로 보내면 길에서 기진하리라”(막 8:2-3)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 왜냐하면, 그들은 음식을 손쉽게 구할 수 없는 시골에 있었고 전적으로 예수님께 의지하고 있었기 때문이었습니다. 그들에게는 갈 만한 다른 곳이 없었습니다. 때때로 하나님은 주님만이 우리의 유일한 도움이 되는 황량한 곳에 우리를 머무르게 하십니다. 우리에게 공급하시는 주님의 능력이 우리의 상황과 반드시 연계되어 있지는 않습니다. 하나님께서 온 세상을 무에서 창조하셨다면, 하나님은 우리의 상황이 어떠하든 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 풍성하신 주님의 영광으로부터 우리의 필요를 확실히 충족시켜주실 수 있습니다(빌 4:19).

Dear God, thank You for all that You have provided through Your Son, Jesus Christ. You know what my needs are. Please reassure me of Your care and power.

We can trust God to do what we cannot do.

Mark 8:1–13

[1] In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them,
[2] "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat.
[3] "And if I send them away hungry to their own houses, they will faint on the way; for some of them have come from afar."
[4] Then His disciples answered Him, "How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?"
[5] He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven."
[6] So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.
[7] They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them.
[8] So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments.
[9] Now those who had eaten were about four thousand. And He sent them away,
[10] immediately got into the boat with His disciples, and came to the region of Dalmanutha.
[11] Then the Pharisees came out and began to dispute with Him, seeking from Him a sign from heaven, testing Him.
[12] But He sighed deeply in His spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly, I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation."
[13] And He left them, and getting into the boat again, departed to the other side.

사랑하는 하나님, 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도를 통해 공급해주신 모든 것에 감사드립니다. 하나님은 저의 필요를 아십니다. 하나님의 사랑과 능력을 저에게 확신시켜 주소서.

우리가 할 수 없는 것을 하나님은 하신다는 것을 믿을 수 있다.

마가복음 8:1–13

[1] 그 무렵에 또 큰 무리가 있어 먹을 것이 없는지라 예수께서 제자들을 불러 이르시되
[2] 내가 무리를 불쌍히 여기노라 그들이 나와 함께 있은 지 이미 사흘이 지났으나 먹을 것이 없도다
[3] 만일 내가 그들을 굶겨 집으로 보내면 길에서 기진하리라 그 중에는 멀리서 온 사람들도 있느니라
[4] 제자들이 대답하되 이 광야 어디서 떡을 얻어 이 사람들로 배부르게 할 수 있으리이까
[5] 예수께서 물으시되 너희에게 떡 몇 개나 있느냐 이르되 일곱이로소이다 하거늘
[6] 예수께서 무리를 명하여 땅에 앉게 하시고 떡 일곱 개를 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주어 나누어 주게 하시니 제자들이 무리에게 나누어 주더라
[7] 또 작은 생선 두어 마리가 있는지라 이에 축복하시고 명하사 이것도 나누어 주게 하시니
[8] 배불리 먹고 남은 조각 일곱 광주리를 거두었으며
[9] 사람은 약 사천 명이었더라 예수께서 그들을 흩어 보내시고
[10] 곧 제자들과 함께 배에 오르사 달마누다 지방으로 가시니라
[11] 바리새인들이 나와서 예수를 힐난하며 그를 시험하여 하늘로부터 오는 표적을 구하거늘
[12] 예수께서 마음속으로 깊이 탄식하시며 이르시되 어찌하여 이 세대가 표적을 구하느냐 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 세대에 표적을 주지 아니하리라 하시고
[13] 그들을 떠나 다시 배에 올라 건너편으로 가시니라
