Lord, Help!		주님, 도와주소서!
[ Hebrews 4:14 - 4:16 ] - hymn 363 Let us then approach God¡¯s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. - Hebrews 4:16 I was so happy for my friend when she told me she was going to be a mum! Together we counted the days until the birth. But when the baby suffered a brain injury during delivery, my heart broke and I didn¡¯t know how to pray. All I knew was who I should pray to—God. He is our Father, and He hears us when we call. I knew that God was capable of miracles. He brought Jairus¡¯s daughter back to life (Luke 8:49-55) and in so doing also healed the girl of whatever disease had robbed her of life. So I asked Him to bring healing for my friend¡¯s baby too. details of our lives. But what if God doesn¡¯t heal? I wondered. Surely He doesn¡¯t lack the power. Could it be He doesn¡¯t care? I thought of Jesus¡¯s suffering on the cross and the explanation that ¡°God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us¡± (Rom.5:8). Then I remembered the questions of Job and how he learned to see the wisdom of God as shown in the creation around him (Job 38–39). Slowly I saw how God calls us to Him in the details of our lives. In God¡¯s grace, my friend and I learned together what it means to call on the Lord and to trust Him—whatever the outcome. — Poh Fang Chia		[ 히브리서 4:14 - 4:16 ] - 찬송가 363 장 그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라 - 히브리서 4:16 내 친구가 곧 엄마가 된다고 얘기해줬을 때 나는 너무나 기뻤습니다. 우리는 같이 출산일까지 날짜를 하루하루 세었습니다. 그러나 아기가 분만 도중 뇌손상을 입자, 내 가슴은 무너졌고 어떻게 기도해야 할지 몰랐습니다. 내가 아는 것이라고는 내가 기도해야 할 분은, 우리의 아버지시며 우리가 소리쳐 부를 때 들으시는 하나님이라는 것뿐이었습니다. 나는 하나님이 기적을 행하실 수 있음을 알고 있었습니다. 주님은 야이로의 딸을 죽음에서 구해내셨고(눅 8:49-55), 그 과정에서 그 아이의 생명을 앗아갔던 병도 치유하셨습니다. 그래서 나는 하나님께 내 친구의 아기도 고쳐달라고 간구하였습니다. 그러다가 이런 생각이 들었습니다. ‘그러나 만약 하나님께서 고쳐주지 않으시면 어떡하지? 하나님의 능력이 모자라서가 아닌 것은 확실하니, 그러면 하나님이 상관 안 하신다는 것일까?’ 나는 십자가에서 고난 받으신 예수님과 “우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라”(롬 5:8)라고 하신 말씀을 생각해보았습니다. 그런 다음 욥이 던졌던 질문들과, 그가 어떻게 주변의 피조물들을 통해 나타난 하나님의 지혜를 알게 되었는지를 떠올렸습니다(욥 38-39장). 나는 점차 하나님이 어떻게 우리 삶의 세세한 부분들 속에서 우리를 그분께로 부르시는지 알게 되었습니다. 하나님의 은혜로 친구와 나는 하나님께 간구하고 결과가 어떻든지 하나님을 신뢰한다는 것이 무엇을 의미하는지 함께 깨닫게 되었습니다.

Lord, to whom can I go but You! I trust You with my life and the lives of my loved ones. I¡¯m grateful You always hear my cry.

When life knocks you down, you¡¯re in the perfect position to pray!

Hebrews 4:14–16

[14] Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
[15] For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
[16] Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

주님, 제가 주님이 아닌 누구에게 갈 수 있겠습니까! 주님께 제 삶과 제가 사랑하는 이들의 삶을 맡깁니다. 언제나 저의 외침을 들어주셔서 감사합니다.

삶이 무너질 때, 그때가 기도할 수 있는 가장 완벽한 상태이다!

히브리서 4:14–16

[14] 그러므로 우리에게 큰 대제사장이 계시니 승천하신 이 곧 하나님의 아들 예수시라 우리가 믿는 도리를 굳게 잡을지어다
[15] 우리에게 있는 대제사장은 우리의 연약함을 동정하지 못하실 이가 아니요 모든 일에 우리와 똑같이 시험을 받으신 이로되 죄는 없으시니라
[16] 그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라
