He Walked in Our Shoes		우리와 함께 걸으시는 하나님
[ Hebrews 2:10 - 2:18 ] - hymn 438 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. - Hebrews 2:18 To help his staff of young architects understand the needs of those for whom they design housing, David Dillard sends them on ¡°sleepovers.¡± They put on pajamas and spend 24 hours in a senior living center in the same conditions as people in their 80s and 90s. They wear earplugs to simulate hearing loss, tape their fingers together to limit manual dexterity, and exchange eyeglasses to replicate vision problems. Dillard says, ¡°The biggest benefit is [that] when I send 27-year-olds out, they come back with a heart 10 times as big. They meet people and understand their plights¡±(Rodney Brooks, USA Today). Jesus lived on this earth for 33 years and shared in our humanity. He was made like us, ¡°fully human in every way¡±(Heb.2:17), so He knows what it¡¯s like to live in a human body on this earth. He understands the struggles we face and comes alongside with understanding and encouragement. ¡°Because [Jesus] himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted¡±(v.18). The Lord could have avoided the cross. Instead, He obeyed His Father. Through His death, He broke the power of Satan and freed us from our fear of death (vv.14-15). In every temptation, Jesus walks beside us to give us courage, strength, and hope along the way.		[ 히브리서 2:10 - 2:18 ] - 찬송가 438 장 그가 시험을 받아 고난을 당하셨은즉 시험 받는 자들을 능히 도우실 수 있느니라 - 히브리서 2:18 데이비드 딜러드는 젊은 건축가들로 구성된 그의 팀원들이 그들이 설계하는 집에 거할 사람들이 무엇을 필요로 하는지 이해할 수 있도록 팀원들을 보내어 그들과 ‘합숙하게’ 합니다. 그들은 8,90대 나이의 사람들처럼 노인센터에서 잠옷을 입고 24시간을 그들과 함께 보냅니다. 말이 들리지 않는 것처럼 하려고 귀마개를 하고, 손가락을 테이프로 붙여 손을 부자연스럽게 하며, 안경을 서로 바꾸어 눈이 잘 안 보이는 것처럼 합니다. 딜러드는 말합니다. “이 일의 최고의 혜택은 내가 27세의 젊은이들을 내보내면 그들은 열 배나 더 큰 마음을 가지고 돌아온다는 것입니다. 그들은 사람들을 만나서 그들의 어려움을 이해합니다.”(로드니 브룩스, 유에스에이 투데이). 예수님은 이 세상에서 33년 동안 사시면서 인성을 공유하셨습니다. 예수님도 우리처럼 태어나 “범사에 형제들과 같이 되셔서”(히 2:17), 이 세상에서 인간의 몸을 입고 사는 것이 어떤 것인지를 잘 아십니다. 예수님은 우리가 겪는 어려움들을 아시고, 우리를 이해하시며 격려해주십니다. “그[예수님]가 시험을 받아 고난을 당하셨은즉 시험받는 자들을 능히 도우실 수 있느니라”(18절). 주님은 십자가를 피하실 수 있었지만, 하나님 아버지의 명령에 순종하셨습니다. 예수님은 그분의 죽음으로 사탄의 권세를 깨뜨리시고, 우리를 죽음의 공포로부터 자유롭게 해주셨습니다(14-15절). 시험을 받을 때마다 예수님은 우리 옆에서 함께 걸으시며 계속해서 우리에게 용기와 힘과 소망을 주십니다.

Lord Jesus, thank You for ¡°walking in our shoes¡± on this earth and for being with us. May we experience Your presence today.

Jesus understands.

Hebrews 2:10-18

[10] For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
[11] For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
[12] saying: "I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You."
[13] And again: "I will put My trust in Him." And again: "Here am I and the children whom God has given Me."
[14] Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
[15] and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
[16] For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.
[17] Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
[18] For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

주 예수님, 이 땅에서 우리와 함께 하시고 “우리와 함께 걸어가 주심”에 감사드립니다. 오늘도 주님이 함께하심을 경험할 수 있게 해주소서.

예수님은 이해하신다.

히브리서 2:10-18

[10] 그러므로 만물이 그를 위하고 또한 그로 말미암은 이가 많은 아들들을 이끌어 영광에 들어가게 하시는 일에 그들의 구원의 창시자를 고난을 통하여 온전하게 하심이 합당하도다
[11] 거룩하게 하시는 이와 거룩하게 함을 입은 자들이 다 한 근원에서 난지라 그러므로 형제라 부르시기를 부끄러워하지 아니하시고
[12] 이르시되 내가 주의 이름을 내 형제들에게 선포하고 내가 주를 교회 중에서 찬송하리라 하셨으며
[13] 또 다시 내가 그를 의지하리라 하시고 또 다시 볼지어다 나와 및 하나님께서 내게 주신 자녀라 하셨으니
[14] 자녀들은 혈과 육에 속하였으매 그도 또한 같은 모양으로 혈과 육을 함께 지니심은 죽음을 통하여 죽음의 세력을 잡은 자 곧 마귀를 멸하시며
[15] 또 죽기를 무서워하므로 한평생 매여 종 노릇 하는 모든 자들을 놓아 주려 하심이니
[16] 이는 확실히 천사들을 붙들어 주려 하심이 아니요 오직 아브라함의 자손을 붙들어 주려 하심이라
[17] 그러므로 그가 범사에 형제들과 같이 되심이 마땅하도다 이는 하나님의 일에 자비하고 신실한 대제사장이 되어 백성의 죄를 속량하려 하심이라
[18] 그가 시험을 받아 고난을 당하셨은즉 시험 받는 자들을 능히 도우실 수 있느니라
