[ Mark 4:35 - 5:1 ] - hymn 406 Let us go over to the other side. - Mark 4:35 A comfortable plane ride was about to get bumpy. The voice of the captain interrupted in-flight beverage service and asked passengers to make sure their seatbelts were fastened. Soon the plane began to roll and pitch like a ship on a wind-whipped ocean. While the rest of the passengers were doing their best to deal with the turbulence, a little girl sat through it all reading her book. After the plane landed, she was asked why she had been able to be so calm. She responded, ¡°My daddy is the pilot and he¡¯s taking me home.¡± Though Jesus¡¯ disciples were seasoned fishermen, they were terrified the day a storm threatened to swamp their boat. They were following Jesus¡¯ instructions. Why was this happening? (Mark 4:35-38). He was with them but He was asleep at the stern of the craft. They learned that day that it is not true that when we do as our Lord says there will be no storms in our lives. Yet because He was with them, they also learned that storms don¡¯t stop us from getting to where our Lord wants us to go (5:1). Whether the storm we encounter today is the result of a tragic accident, a loss of employment, or some other trial, we can be confident that all is not lost. Our Pilot can handle the storm. He will get us home.		[ 마가복음 4:35 - 5:1 ] - 찬송가 406 장 우리가 저편으로 건너가자 - 마가복음 4:35 편안했던 비행기가 흔들리기 시작했습니다. 음료를 나눠주던 도중, 기장이 방송으로 승객들에게 안전벨트를 착용해달라고 했습니다. 곧 비행기는 마치 바다의 거친 바람에 쏠리는 배와 같이 앞뒤 좌우로 흔들리기 시작했습니다. 모든 승객들이 이 난류에 대처하려고 최선을 다하고 있을 때, 한 어린 소녀가 그 와중에도 조용히 앉아서 책을 읽고 있었습니다. 비행기가 착륙하자, 사람들이 그 아이에게 어떻게 그렇게 침착할 수 있었는지 물었습니다. 아이는 “우리 아빠가 기장이고, 아빠는 나를 집으로 데리고 가고 있어요.”라고 대답했습니다. 비록 예수님의 제자들은 숙달된 어부들이었지만, 폭풍이 그들의 배를 엎어 버리려고 할 때 몹시 무서워 떨었습니다. 그들은 예수님의 지시를 따르고 있었는데, 왜 이런 일이 일어났을까요?(막 4:35-38). 예수님은 그들과 함께 계셨지만 배 뒤편에 주무시고 계셨습니다. 그들은 그날 우리가 우리 주님의 말씀대로만 하면 우리 삶에 폭풍이 없을 것이라는 말이 진실이 아니라는 것을 배웠습니다. 그들은 또한 주님이 그들과 함께 하시기 때문에 우리가 우리 주님이 원하시는 곳으로 가는 것을 폭풍이 막지 못한다는 것도 배웠습니다(5:1). 우리가 오늘 대하는 폭풍이 비극적인 사고나 실직, 아니면 다른 어떤 시련으로 인한 결과이든, 모든 것을 잃은 것은 아니라는 것을 우리는 확신할 수 있습니다. 우리의 기장은 폭풍을 다루실 수 있는 분이십니다. 그분이 우리를 집으로 데려다주실 것입니다.

What storms are you encountering today? Perhaps you have lost a loved one or are facing a serious illness. Perhaps you are having difficulty finding a job. Ask the Lord to strengthen your faith and take you safely through the storm to the other side.

We don't need to fear the storm with Jesus as our anchor.

Mark 4:35–5:1

[35] On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side."
[36] Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.
[37] And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.
[38] But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"
[39] Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
[40] But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?"
[41] And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!"
[5:1] Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes.

당신은 지금 어떤 폭풍을 겪고 있습니까? 어쩌면 사랑하는 사람을 잃었을 수도 있고 심한 병과 싸우고 있을지도 모르겠습니다. 어쩌면 힘들게 직장을 구하고 있는지도 모르겠습니다. 주님께 당신의 믿음을 더 견고케 해주셔서 폭풍을 지나 건너편으로 데려가주시도록 간구하

튼튼한 닻이 되시는 예수님과 함께 있기에 우리는 폭풍을 두려워할 필요가 없다.

마가복음 4:35–5:1

[35] 그 날 저물 때에 제자들에게 이르시되 우리가 저편으로 건너가자 하시니
[36] 그들이 무리를 떠나 예수를 배에 계신 그대로 모시고 가매 다른 배들도 함께 하더니
[37] 큰 광풍이 일어나며 물결이 배에 부딪쳐 들어와 배에 가득하게 되었더라
[38] 예수께서는 고물에서 베개를 베고 주무시더니 제자들이 깨우며 이르되 선생님이여 우리가 죽게 된 것을 돌보지 아니하시나이까 하니
[39] 예수께서 깨어 바람을 꾸짖으시며 바다더러 이르시되 잠잠하라 고요하라 하시니 바람이 그치고 아주 잔잔하여지더라
[40] 이에 제자들에게 이르시되 어찌하여 이렇게 무서워하느냐 너희가 어찌 믿음이 없느냐 하시니
[41] 그들이 심히 두려워하여 서로 말하되 그가 누구이기에 바람과 바다도 순종하는가 하였더라
[5:1] 예수께서 바다 건너편 거라사인의 지방에 이르러
