Why Me?		왜 나인가요?
[ Ruth 2:1 - 2:11 ] - hymn 310 Why have I found such favor in your eyes? - Ruth 2:10 Ruth was a foreigner. She was a widow. She was poor. In many parts of the world today she would be considered a nobody—someone whose future doesn¡¯t hold any hope. However, Ruth found favor in the eyes of a relative of her deceased husband, a rich man and the owner of the fields where she chose to ask for permission to glean grain. In response to his kindness, Ruth asked, ¡°What have I done to deserve such kindness? ... I am only a foreigner¡±(Ruth 2:10 nlt). Boaz, the good man who showed Ruth such compassion, answered her truthfully. He had heard about her good deeds toward her mother-in-law, Naomi, and how she chose to leave her country and follow Naomi¡¯s God. Boaz prayed that God, "under whose wings" she had come for refuge, would bless her (1:16; 2:11-12; see Ps.91:4). As her kinsman redeemer(Ruth 3:9), when Boaz married Ruth he became her protector and part of the answer to his prayer. Like Ruth, we were foreigners and far from God. We may wonder why God would choose to love us when we are so undeserving. The answer is not in us, but in Him. ¡°God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners¡±(Rom.5:8 nlt). Christ has become our Redeemer. When we come to Him in salvation, we are under His protective wings.		[ 룻기 2:1 - 2:11 ] - 찬송가 310 장 어찌하여 내게 은혜를 베푸시며 - 룻기 2:10 룻은 이방여인이었으며 과부였고 가난했습니다. 지금도 세계 여러 곳에서 그녀와 같은 처지에 있는 사람은 무시당하고, 장래 아무런 소망이 없는 사람이라고 여겨질 것입니다. 그러나 룻은 그녀의 죽은 남편의 친척으로부터 은총을 입었습니다. 그 사람은 부자였으며, 그녀가 이삭을 주워도 되는지 허락을 받으려 한 밭의 주인이기도 했습니다. 그의 친절에 대해 룻은 “나는 이방 여인이거늘 당신이 어찌하여…나를 돌보시나이까”(룻 2:10)라고 물었습니다. 룻에게 동정을 베푼 선한 사람 보아스는 그녀에게 솔직하게 대답했습니다. 그는 그녀가 시어머니 나오미에게 행한 선한 일과, 어떻게 그녀가 나오미의 하나님을 따라 자기 조국을 떠나기로 했는지에 대해 이미 들었습니다. 보아스는 하나님의 “날개 아래로” 피해온 그녀에게 복 주시기를 하나님께 기도했습니다(룻 1:16; 2:11-12; 시 91:4 참조). 그녀의 기업 무를 자로서(룻 3:9), 보아스는 룻과 결혼하여 그녀의 보호자가 되었고, 그가 기도한 것의 일부 응답이 되기도 했습니다. 룻과 같이 우리도 이방인이었고 하나님으로부터 멀리 떨어진 사람들이었습니다. 우리는 사랑 받을 자격이 전혀 없는데도 왜 하나님이 우리를 사랑하기로 하셨는지 의아하게 여기기도 합니다. 그 대답은 우리에게 있지 않고 하나님께 있습니다. “우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라”(롬 5:8). 그리스도가 우리의 구세주가 되셨습니다. 구원을 위해 그분께 나오면 우리는 그분의 보호의 날개 아래 거하게 됩니다.

Dear Lord, I don¡¯t know why You love me, but I don¡¯t doubt Your love. I thank You and worship You!

Gratefulness is the heart's response to God's undeserved love.

Ruth 2:1-11

[1] There was a relative of Naomi's husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz.
[2] So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter."
[3] Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.
[4] Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you!" And they answered him, "The LORD bless you!"
[5] Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"
[6] So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said, "It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab.
[7] "And she said, 'Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.' So she came and has continued from morning until now, though she rested a little in the house."
[8] Then Boaz said to Ruth, "You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women.
[9] "Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn."
[10] So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?"
[11] And Boaz answered and said to her, "It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before.

사랑하는 주님, 왜 주님이 저를 사랑하시는지 알지 못하지만 주님의 사랑을 믿어 의심치 않습니다. 주님께 감사합니다. 예배합니다!

감사는 자격 없는 우리에게 부어주시는 하나님의 사랑에 대한 우리 마음의 반응이다.

룻기 2:1-11

[1] 나오미의 남편 엘리멜렉의 친족으로 유력한 자가 있으니 그의 이름은 보아스더라
[2] 모압 여인 룻이 나오미에게 이르되 원하건대 내가 밭으로 가서 내가 누구에게 은혜를 입으면 그를 따라서 이삭을 줍겠나이다 하니 나오미가 그에게 이르되 내 딸아 갈지어다 하매
[3] 룻이 가서 베는 자를 따라 밭에서 이삭을 줍는데 우연히 엘리멜렉의 친족 보아스에게 속한 밭에 이르렀더라
[4] 마침 보아스가 베들레헴에서부터 와서 베는 자들에게 이르되 여호와께서 너희와 함께 하시기를 원하노라 하니 그들이 대답하되 여호와께서 당신에게 복 주시기를 원하나이다 하니라
[5] 보아스가 베는 자들을 거느린 사환에게 이르되 이는 누구의 소녀냐 하니
[6] 베는 자를 거느린 사환이 대답하여 이르되 이는 나오미와 함께 모압 지방에서 돌아온 모압 소녀인데
[7] 그의 말이 나로 베는 자를 따라 단 사이에서 이삭을 줍게 하소서 하였고 아침부터 와서는 잠시 집에서 쉰 외에 지금까지 계속하는 중이니이다
[8] 보아스가 룻에게 이르되 내 딸아 들으라 이삭을 주우러 다른 밭으로 가지 말며 여기서 떠나지 말고 나의 소녀들과 함께 있으라
[9] 그들이 베는 밭을 보고 그들을 따르라 내가 그 소년들에게 명령하여 너를 건드리지 말라 하였느니라 목이 마르거든 그릇에 가서 소년들이 길어 온 것을 마실지니라 하는지라
[10] 룻이 엎드려 얼굴을 땅에 대고 절하며 그에게 이르되 나는 이방 여인이거늘 당신이 어찌하여 내게 은혜를 베푸시며 나를 돌보시나이까 하니
[11] 보아스가 그에게 대답하여 이르되 네 남편이 죽은 후로 네가 시어머니에게 행한 모든 것과 네 부모와 고국을 떠나 전에 알지 못하던 백성에게로 온 일이 내게 분명히 알려졌느니라
