Time to Grow		성장할 때
[ Galatians 6:1 - 6:10 ] - hymn 301 At the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. - Galatians 6:9 In Debbie¡¯s new home, she discovered an abandoned plant in a dark corner of the kitchen. The dusty and ragged leaves looked like those of a moth orchid, and she imagined how pretty the plant would look once it had sent up new bloom-bearing stems. She moved the pot into a spot by the window, cut off the dead leaves, and watered it thoroughly. She bought plant food and applied it to the roots. Week after week she inspected the plant, but no new shoots appeared. ¡°I¡¯ll give it another month,¡± she told her husband, ¡°and if nothing has happened by then, out it goes.¡± When decision day came, she could hardly believe her eyes. Two small stems were poking out from among the leaves! The plant she¡¯d almost given up on was still alive. Do you ever get discouraged by your apparent lack of spiritual growth? Perhaps you frequently lose your temper or enjoy that spicy piece of gossip you just can¡¯t resist passing on. Or perhaps you get up too late to pray and read your Bible, in spite of resolving to set the alarm earlier. Why not tell a trusted friend about the areas of your life in which you want to grow spiritually and ask that person to pray for and encourage you to be accountable? Be patient. You will grow as you allow the Holy Spirit to work in you.		[ 갈라디아서 6:1 - 6:10 ] - 찬송가 301 장 포기하지 아니하면 때가 이르매 거두리라 - 갈라디아서 6:9 데비는 그녀의 새집 부엌에서 어두운 구석에 버려진 화분을 발견했습니다. 먼지가 덮인 초라한 잎들은 마치 나방난초의 잎처럼 보였습니다. 그녀는 새 꽃망울이 달린 줄기가 뻗어 나오면 그 화초가 얼마나 아름답게 보일까 상상해보았습니다. 그녀는 화분을 창문 옆으로 옮기고 죽은 잎들을 잘라낸 후 물을 충분히 주었습니다. 그리고 비료를 사서 뿌리까지 골고루 주었습니다. 그녀는 몇 주일 동안 그 화분을 관찰했지만 새로운 싹이 나오지 않았습니다. 그녀는 남편에게 “한 달만 더 기다려보고, 만약 그때도 아무 일 없으면 버려야겠어요.”라고 말했습니다. 드디어 결정해야 할 날이 왔을 때, 그녀는 그녀의 눈을 의심하지 않을 수 없었습니다. 잎사귀들 가운데서 두 개의 작은 줄기가 나오고 있었던 것입니다! 그녀가 거의 포기했던 화분이 아직 살아있었습니다. 영적성장이 결핍되어 보이는 것 때문에 낙심이 된 적이 있습니까? 어쩌면 당신은 자주 화를 내거나 다른 사람들에 대한 험담을 즐겨 전하고 있든지, 아니면 알람을 일찍 맞추어 놓았음에도 너무 늦게 일어나 기도도 못하고 성경을 읽지 못하고 있는지도 모르겠습니다. 당신이 영적으로 성장하고 싶은 삶의 영역에 관해서 신뢰하는 친구에게 이야기해서, 그에게 기도를 부탁하고, 당신이 잘 할 수 있게 격려해 달라고 부탁하십시오. 그리고 인내하십시오. 성령께서 당신 안에서 일하실 수 있게 한다면 당신은 성장할 것입니다.

Please give me patience, dear Lord, with myself and with others. Help me to cooperate with the Holy Spirit as He shapes my desires and helps me to grow.

Each small step of faith is a giant step of growth.

Galatians 6:1-10

[1] Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
[2] Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
[3] For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
[4] But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
[5] For each one shall bear his own load.
[6] Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
[7] Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
[8] For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
[9] And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
[10] Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

사랑하는 주님, 저와 다른 사람들에 대해 인내심을 갖게 하소서. 성령께서 제 소원을 빚어 가실 때 그분과 협력하게 하셔서 저로 자라갈 수 있게 도와주소서.

각기 작은 믿음의 발걸음들이 성장을 이루어가는 커다란 발걸음이 된다.

갈라디아서 6:1-10

[1] 형제들아 사람이 만일 무슨 범죄한 일이 드러나거든 신령한 너희는 온유한 심령으로 그러한 자를 바로잡고 너 자신을 살펴보아 너도 시험을 받을까 두려워하라
[2] 너희가 짐을 서로 지라 그리하여 그리스도의 법을 성취하라
[3] 만일 누가 아무 것도 되지 못하고 된 줄로 생각하면 스스로 속임이라
[4] 각각 자기의 일을 살피라 그리하면 자랑할 것이 자기에게는 있어도 남에게는 있지 아니하리니
[5] 각각 자기의 짐을 질 것이라
[6] 가르침을 받는 자는 말씀을 가르치는 자와 모든 좋은 것을 함께 하라
[7] 스스로 속이지 말라 하나님은 업신여김을 받지 아니하시나니 사람이 무엇으로 심든지 그대로 거두리라
[8] 자기의 육체를 위하여 심는 자는 육체로부터 썩어질 것을 거두고 성령을 위하여 심는 자는 성령으로부터 영생을 거두리라
[9] 우리가 선을 행하되 낙심하지 말지니 포기하지 아니하면 때가 이르매 거두리라
[10] 그러므로 우리는 기회 있는 대로 모든 이에게 착한 일을 하되 더욱 믿음의 가정들에게 할지니라
