Not Forgotten		잊히지 않음
[ Isaiah 49:13 - 49:21 ] - hymn 397 I will not forget you! - Isaiah 49:15 At her mother¡¯s 50th birthday celebration with hundreds of people present, firstborn daughter Kukua recounted what her mother had done for her. The times were hard, Kukua remembered, and funds were scarce in the home. But her single mother deprived herself of personal comfort, selling her precious jewelry and other possessions in order to put Kukua through high school. With tears in her eyes, Kukua said that no matter how difficult things were, her mother never abandoned her or her siblings. God compared His love for His people with a mother¡¯s love for her child. When the people of Israel felt abandoned by God during their exile, they complained: ¡°The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me¡±(Isa.49:14). But God said, ¡°Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!¡±(v.15). When we are distressed or disillusioned, we may feel abandoned by society, family, and friends, but God does not abandon us. It is a great encouragement that the Lord says, "I have engraved you on the palms of my hands"(v.16) to indicate how much He knows and protects us. Even if people forsake us, God will never forsake His own.		[ 이사야 49:13 - 49:21 ] - 찬송가 397 장 나는 너를 잊지 아니할 것이라 - 이사야 49:15 어머니의 50세 생일 축하연에 수백 명이 모인 가운데, 장녀 쿠쿠아가 어머니가 그녀에게 해주신 것에 대해 이야기했습니다. 그녀는 시기적으로 힘들었고 생활도 어려웠다고 회상했습니다. 그렇지만 혼자된 어머니는 자신의 안락을 희생하고, 귀금속이나 다른 물건들을 내다 팔아가며 쿠쿠아가 고등학교를 마치도록 했습니다. 쿠쿠아는 눈에 눈물이 가득한 채, 어머니는 아무리 어려웠어도 결코 자기와 동생들을 버리지 않았다고 말했습니다. 하나님은 자기 백성들에 대한 그분의 사랑을 어머니의 자식을 향한 사랑에 비교하셨습니다. 이스라엘백성들이 유배 기간 중에 하나님께 버림받았다고 느끼며 “여호와께서 나를 버리시며 주께서 나를 잊으셨다”(사 49:14)라고 불평했습니다. 그러나 하나님은 “여인이 어찌 그 젖 먹는 자식을 잊겠으며 자기 태에서 난 아들을 긍휼히 여기지 않겠느냐 그들은 혹시 잊을지라도 나는 너를 잊지 아니할 것이라”(15절)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 우리가 번민하거나 환멸을 느낄 때 우리는 사회나 가족, 혹은 친구들로부터 버림받았다고 느낄 수 있겠지만, 하나님은 우리를 버리지 않으십니다. 하나님이 “내가 너를 내 손바닥에 새겼다”(16절)라고 말씀하시는 것은 하나님이 우리를 아주 잘 아시며, 우리를 보호해주신다는 것을 보여주는 것이기에 우리에게 큰 격려가 됩니다. 비록 사람들은 우리를 버릴지라도, 하나님은 그의 백성을 결코 버리지 않으십니다.

Thank You, Lord, that I am Yours forever. I¡¯m thankful that I won¡¯t have to walk through any experience alone.

God never forgets us.

Isaiah 49:13-21

[13] Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, And will have mercy on His afflicted.
[14] But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me."
[15] "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.
[16] See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
[17] Your sons shall make haste; Your destroyers and those who laid you waste Shall go away from you.
[18] Lift up your eyes, look around and see; All these gather together and come to you. As I live," says the LORD, "You shall surely clothe yourselves with them all as an ornament, And bind them on you as a bride does.
[19] "For your waste and desolate places, And the land of your destruction, Will even now be too small for the inhabitants; And those who swallowed you up will be far away.
[20] The children you will have, After you have lost the others, Will say again in your ears, 'The place is too small for me; Give me a place where I may dwell.'
[21] Then you will say in your heart, 'Who has begotten these for me, Since I have lost my children and am desolate, A captive, and wandering to and fro? And who has brought these up? There I was, left alone; But these, where were they?'"

주님, 제가 영원토록 주님의 것임을 감사합니다.
어떤 일도 저 혼자 겪지 않게 하시니 감사합니다.

하나님은 우리를 결코 잊지 않으신다.

이사야 49:13-21

[13] 하늘이여 노래하라 땅이여 기뻐하라 산들이여 즐거이 노래하라 여호와께서 그의 백성을 위로하셨은즉 그의 고난 당한 자를 긍휼히 여기실 것임이라
[14] 오직 시온이 이르기를 여호와께서 나를 버리시며 주께서 나를 잊으셨다 하였거니와
[15] 여인이 어찌 그 젖 먹는 자식을 잊겠으며 자기 태에서 난 아들을 긍휼히 여기지 않겠느냐 그들은 혹시 잊을지라도 나는 너를 잊지 아니할 것이라
[16] 내가 너를 내 손바닥에 새겼고 너의 성벽이 항상 내 앞에 있나니
[17] 네 자녀들은 빨리 걸으며 너를 헐며 너를 황폐하게 하던 자들은 너를 떠나가리라
[18] 네 눈을 들어 사방을 보라 그들이 다 모여 네게로 오느니라 나 여호와가 이르노라 내가 나의 삶으로 맹세하노니 네가 반드시 그 모든 무리를 장식처럼 몸에 차며 그것을 띠기를 신부처럼 할 것이라
[19] 이는 네 황폐하고 적막한 곳들과 네 파멸을 당하였던 땅이 이제는 주민이 많아 좁게 될 것이며 너를 삼켰던 자들이 멀리 떠날 것이니라
[20] 자식을 잃었을 때에 낳은 자녀가 후일에 네 귀에 말하기를 이곳이 내게 좁으니 넓혀서 내가 거주하게 하라 하리니
[21] 그 때에 네가 네 마음에 이르기를 누가 나를 위하여 이들을 낳았는고 나는 자녀를 잃고 외로워졌으며 사로잡혀 유리하였거늘 이들을 누가 양육하였는고 나는 홀로 남았거늘 이들은 어디서 생겼는고 하리라
