Not My Worry		내 걱정거리가 아니야
[ Isaiah 40:25 - 40:31 ] - hymn 370 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you. - Psalm 55:22 A man worried constantly about everything. Then one day his friends heard him whistling happily and looking noticeably relaxed. ¡°What happened?¡± they asked him in astonishment. He said, ¡°I¡¯m paying a man to do my worrying for me.¡± ¡°How much do you pay him?¡± they asked. ¡°Two thousand dollars a week,¡± he replied. ¡°Wow! How can you afford that?¡± ¡°I can¡¯t,¡± he said, ¡°but that¡¯s his worry.¡± While this humorous way to handle stress doesn¡¯t work in real life, as God¡¯s children we can turn our worries over to Someone who has everything perfectly under control even—especially—when we feel it is not. The prophet Isaiah reminds us that God brings out the stars and calls them all by name (40:25-26). Because of ¡°his great power and mighty strength¡± not one of them is missing (v. 26). And just as God knows the stars by name, He knows us individually and personally. We are each under His watchful care (v. 27). If we are inclined to worry, we can turn that worry over to the Lord. He is never too weary or too tired to pay attention to us. He has all wisdom and all power, and He loves to use it on our behalf. The Holy One who directs the stars has His loving arms around us. - Poh Fang Chia		[ 이사야 40:25 - 40:31 ] - 찬송가 370 장 네 짐을 여호와께 맡기라 그가 너를 붙드시고 - 시편 55:22 수시로 온갖 것에 대해 걱정을 하는 한 남자가 있었습니다. 어느 날 그의 친구들이 즐겁게 휘파람을 불며 무척 평안해 보이는 그를 보았습니다. 깜짝 놀란 친구들은 “무슨 일 있어?” 라고 물었습니다. 그는 “나 대신 걱정해줄 사람을 고용했어.”라고 말했습니다. “그에게 얼마를 주는데.” “매주 2,000불씩 주기로 했어.” “와! 그걸 어떻게 감당하려고 그래.” “나는 못하지. 하지만 그건 그 사람이 걱정할 일이야.” 스트레스를 풀기 위한 이런 유머가 현실에서는 통하지 않겠지만, 하나님의 자녀인 우리는 모든 것을 온전히 주관하시는 분께 우리의 걱정거리를 맡길 수 있습니다. 우리가 그렇게 느끼지 못할 때조차도 그렇습니다. 이사야 선지자는 하나님이 별들을 이끌어내시고 각각 그 이름을 부르신다고 상기시켜 줍니다(40:25-26). “그(하나님)의 권세가 크고 그의 능력이 강하므로” 어느 별 하나도 빠짐이 없습니다(26절). 이렇게 하나님이 모든 별의 이름을 아시듯이 우리를 각각 개인적으로 아십니다. 하나님은 우리를 한 사람 한 사람 지켜보고 계십니다(27절). 만약 걱정이 생기거든 그 걱정을 주님께 맡기십시오. 주님은 우리를 돌보시는데 결코 지치거나 피곤해하지 않으십니다. 모든 지혜와 능력을 지니신 주님은 우리를 위해 그것을 사용하기를 기뻐하십니다. 별들을 다스리시는 거룩하신 분이 두 팔로 우리를 사랑스럽게 안아주십니다.

Lord, You know there are times when I get really scared. And I forget that You have promised that You will never leave me to face difficulty or loss alone. Help me to trust.

Worry ends where faith begins.

Isaiah 40:25-31

[25] "To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?" says the Holy One.
[26] Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.
[27] Why do you say, O Jacob, And speak, O Israel: "My way is hidden from the LORD, And my just claim is passed over by my God"?
[28] Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
[29] He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
[30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
[31] But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

주님, 제가 정말 무서워 떠는 때가 있음을 아십니다. 그리고 제가 홀로 고난과 상실을 당하도록 내버려두지 않으실 거라는 주님의 약속을 잊어버리기도 합니다. 제가 주님을 신뢰할 수 있도록 도와주소서.

믿음이 시작되는 곳에 두려움은 사라진다.

이사야 40:25-31

[25] 거룩하신 이가 이르시되 그런즉 너희가 나를 누구에게 비교하여 나를 그와 동등하게 하겠느냐 하시니라
[26] 너희는 눈을 높이 들어 누가 이 모든 것을 창조하였나 보라 주께서는 수효대로 만상을 이끌어 내시고 그들의 모든 이름을 부르시나니 그의 권세가 크고 그의 능력이 강하므로 하나도 빠짐이 없느니라
[27] 야곱아 어찌하여 네가 말하며 이스라엘아 네가 이르기를 내 길은 여호와께 숨겨졌으며 내 송사는 내 하나님에게서 벗어난다 하느냐
[28] 너는 알지 못하였느냐 듣지 못하였느냐 영원하신 하나님 여호와, 땅 끝까지 창조하신 이는 피곤하지 않으시며 곤비하지 않으시며 명철이 한이 없으시며
[29] 피곤한 자에게는 능력을 주시며 무능한 자에게는 힘을 더하시나니
[30] 소년이라도 피곤하며 곤비하며 장정이라도 넘어지며 쓰러지되
[31] 오직 여호와를 앙망하는 자는 새 힘을 얻으리니 독수리가 날개치며 올라감 같을 것이요 달음박질하여도 곤비하지 아니하겠고 걸어가도 피곤하지 아니하리로다
