When Things Don¡¯t Go Well		일이 잘 안 풀릴 때
[ Romans 8:28 - 8:30 ] - hymn 288 We know that all things work together for good to those who love God. - Romans 8:28 The first words that many people like to quote when misfortune hits are: ¡°We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose¡±(Rom.8:28). But that¡¯s hard to believe in hard times. I once sat with a man who had lost his third son in a row, and I listened as he lamented, ¡°How can this tragedy work for my good?¡± I had no answer but to sit silently and mourn with him. Several months later, he was thankful as he said, ¡°My sorrow is drawing me closer to God.¡± Tough as Romans 8:28 may be to understand, countless testimonies give credence to the truth of it. The story of hymn writer Fanny Crosby is a classic example. The world is the beneficiary of her memorable hymns, yet what worked together for good was born out of her personal tragedy, for she became blind at the age of 5. At only age 8, she began to write poetry and hymns. Writing over 8,000 sacred songs and hymns, she blessed the world with such popular songs as ¡°Blessed Assurance,¡± ¡°Safe in the Arms of Jesus,¡± and ¡°Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior.¡± God used her difficulty to bring good for her and us and glory for Him. When tragedy befalls us, it¡¯s hard to understand how anything good can come from it, and we won¡¯t always see it in this life. But God has good purposes and always remains with us. - Lawrence Darmani		[ 로마서 8:28 - 8:30 ] - 찬송가 288 장 하나님을 사랑하는 자 곧 그의 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라 - 로마서 8:28 불운이 닥쳤을 때 많은 사람들은 “하나님을 사랑하는 자 곧 그의 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라”(롬 8:28)라는 성구를 먼저 떠올립니다. 그러나 역경의 때에는 이 말이 잘 믿어지지 않습니다. 세 아들을 연속해서 잃은 사람과 같이 앉아서 그가 애통해하는 것을 듣고 있었던 적이 있습니다. “어떻게 이런 비극이 나의 선을 위해 일한다는 말입니까?” 나는 대답을 못하고 말없이 앉아서 그와 함께 슬퍼하였습니다. 몇 달 뒤에 그는 “슬픔이 저를 하나님께로 가까이 이끌어주고 있어요.”라고 말하며 감사해 했습니다. 로마서 8장 28절 말씀을 이해하기 힘들지는 몰라도 무수한 간증들이 그것이 진리임을 증거합니다. 찬송가 작사가 패니 크로스비의 이야기가 대표적인 예입니다. 온 세상이 그녀의 잊지 못할 찬송가의 수혜자인데, 합력하여 선을 이룬 그 일은 다섯 살 나이에 눈이 멀게 된 그녀의 개인적인 비극으로부터 비롯되었습니다. 겨우 여덟 살 때 그녀는 시와 찬송가를 쓰기 시작했습니다. 8,000곡 이상의 성가와 찬송가를 쓰면서 그녀는 “예수로 나의 구주 삼고”, “주 예수 넓은 품에”, “인애하신 구세주여”와 같은 유명한 찬송가들로 이 세상을 축복해주었습니다. 하나님은 그녀의 어려움을 통해 그녀와 우리에게 선을 행하셨고, 하나님을 영화롭게 하셨습니다. 우리에게 비극이 닥칠 때, 어떻게 선한 일이 비극에서 비롯되는지 이해하기가 쉽지 않습니다. 그리고 우리 생애에 그것을 항상 볼 수 있는 것도 아닙니다. 그러나 선한 목적을 가지신 하나님이 언제나 우리와 함께 하십니다.

God always has good purposes for our trials.

Romans 8:28-30

[28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
[29] For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
[30] Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

당신의 인생에서 어떤 시련이 당신에게 선이 되었습니까? 그로 인해 어떤 선한 것을 찾았나요? 당신이 지금 기도로 선한 일로 바뀌기를 원하고 있는 어려움은 무엇입니까?

하나님은 우리의 시련에 대해 항상 선한 목적을 가지고 계신다.

로마서 8:28-30

[28] 우리가 알거니와 하나님을 사랑하는 자 곧 그의 뜻대로 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 모든 것이 합력하여 선을 이루느니라
[29] 하나님이 미리 아신 자들을 또한 그 아들의 형상을 본받게 하기 위하여 미리 정하셨으니 이는 그로 많은 형제 중에서 맏아들이 되게 하려 하심이니라
[30] 또 미리 정하신 그들을 또한 부르시고 부르신 그들을 또한 의롭다 하시고 의롭다 하신 그들을 또한 영화롭게 하셨느니라
