Baking with Jess		제스와 함께 빵 굽기
[ John 6:22 - 6:34 ] - hymn 200 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life. — John 6:27 One morning as Lilia prepared for work, her 4-year-old daughter Jess set to work too. The family had purchased a conveyor toaster, and the concept of cycling bread through the small coun-tertop oven fascinated Jess. Minutes later, Lilia discovered a loaf and a half of toast piled on the coun-ter. ¡°I¡¯m a very good baker!¡± Jess declared. It¡¯s no miracle that an inquisitive girl could turn bread into toast. But when Jesus transformed a boy¡¯s five loaves and two fish into a meal for thousands, the crowd on the hillside recognized the miraculous nature of the event and wanted to make Him king (see John 6:1-15). Jesus¡¯ kingdom, of course, is ¡°not of this world¡±(John 18:36), and so He slipped away. When the crowd found Him the next day, Christ identified a flaw in their motives: ¡°You seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled¡± (6:26). They mistakenly thought ¡°King¡± Jesus would give them full stomachs and national freedom. But Jesus counseled them, ¡°Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life¡±(v.27). An earthbound view will cause us to treat Jesus as a means to an end. He is, in fact, our Bread of Life. - Tim Gustafson		[ 요한복음 6:22 - 6:34 ] - 찬송가 200 장 썩을 양식을 위하여 일하지 말고 영생하도록 있는 양식을 위하여 하라 - 요한복음 6:27 어느 날 아침 릴리아가 일하러 갈 준비를 하는데, 그녀의 4살 된 딸 제스도 일을 시작했습니다. 그 가정은 컨베이어 토스터기를 구입했는데, 제스는 빵을 주방용의 조그마한 오븐을 통과시키면서 굽는다는 사실에 매우 흥미를 느꼈습니다. 몇 분 후 릴리아는 주방 식탁 위에 한 줄하고도 반이나 되는 토스트 된 빵들이 포개어져 있는 것을 보았습니다. 제스는 “난 매우 훌륭한 제빵사야.”라고 말했습니다. 호기심 많은 소녀가 빵을 토스트로 변하게 한 것은 전혀 기적이 아닙니다. 그러나 예수님이 한 아이가 가졌던 보리떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 수천 명이 먹을 수 있는 음식으로 변화시키셨을 때, 언덕에 모인 군중들은 그 일이 기적이라는 사실을 알아차리고 예수님을 왕으로 삼으려 했습니다(요 6:1-15 참조). 물론 예수님의 나라는 “이 세상에 속한 것이 아니었습니다”(요 18:36). 그래서 예수님은 그들로부터 빠져나왔습니다. 군중들이 다음 날 예수님을 찾았을 때, 예수님은 “너희가 나를 찾는 것은 표적을 본 까닭이 아니요 떡을 먹고 배부른 까닭이로다”(6:26)라고 말씀하시며 그들의 마음의 동기가 잘못되었음을 지적하셨습니다. 군중들은 “왕”이신 예수님께서 그들의 배를 채워주고 그 민족을 해방시켜 주실 것이라고 잘못 생각하였던 것입니다. 예수님은 오히려 그들에게 “썩을 양식을 위하여 일하지 말고 영생하도록 있는 양식을 위하여 하라”(27절)고 권고하셨습니다. 세속적인 관점은 우리로 하여금 예수님을 목적을 위한 수단으로 여기게 합니다. 그러나 예수님은 사실 생명의 양식입니다.

Lord, our cares and worries can keep us from a genuine relationship with You. May we see You as our very food and not only as our divine problem-solver.

Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you. Jesus

John 6:22-34

[22] On the following day, when the people who were standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except that one which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with His disciples, but His disciples had gone away alone--
[23] however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks--
[24] when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
[25] And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, "Rabbi, when did You come here?"
[26] Jesus answered them and said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.
[27] "Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him."
[28] Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?"
[29] Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."
[30] Therefore they said to Him, "What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?
[31] "Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'"
[32] Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
[33] "For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
[34] Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always."

주님, 우리의 염려와 걱정들이 주님과의 진실한 관계를 갖지 못하게 방해합니다. 주님께서 우리의 문제를 해결해주시는 거룩한 분이실 뿐만 아니라 우리의 진정한 양식이 되심을 알 수 있게 해주소서.

너희는 먼저 그의 나라를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라. 예수님

요한복음 6:22-34

[22] 이튿날 바다 건너편에 서 있던 무리가 배 한 척 외에 다른 배가 거기 없는 것과 또 어제 예수께서 제자들과 함께 그 배에 오르지 아니하시고 제자들만 가는 것을 보았더니
[23] (그러나 디베랴에서 배들이 주께서 축사하신 후 여럿이 떡 먹던 그 곳에 가까이 왔더라)
[24] 무리가 거기에 예수도 안 계시고 제자들도 없음을 보고 곧 배들을 타고 예수를 찾으러 가버나움으로 가서
[25] 바다 건너편에서 만나 랍비여 언제 여기 오셨나이까 하니
[26] 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 너희가 나를 찾는 것은 표적을 본 까닭이 아니요 떡을 먹고 배부른 까닭이로다
[27] 썩을 양식을 위하여 일하지 말고 영생하도록 있는 양식을 위하여 하라 이 양식은 인자가 너희에게 주리니 인자는 아버지 하나님께서 인치신 자니라
[28] 그들이 묻되 우리가 어떻게 하여야 하나님의 일을 하오리이까
[29] 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 하나님께서 보내신 이를 믿는 것이 하나님의 일이니라 하시니
[30] 그들이 묻되 그러면 우리가 보고 당신을 믿도록 행하시는 표적이 무엇이니이까, 하시는 일이 무엇이니이까
[31] 기록된 바 하늘에서 그들에게 떡을 주어 먹게 하였다 함과 같이 우리 조상들은 광야에서 만나를 먹었나이다
[32] 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 모세가 너희에게 하늘로부터 떡을 준 것이 아니라 내 아버지께서 너희에게 하늘로부터 참 떡을 주시나니
[33] 하나님의 떡은 하늘에서 내려 세상에 생명을 주는 것이니라
[34] 그들이 이르되 주여 이 떡을 항상 우리에게 주소서
