Einstein and Jesus		아인슈타인과 예수님
[ John 9:1 - 9:7 ] - hymn 293 Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ¡°I am the light of the world.¡±- John 8:12 We remember Albert Einstein for more than his disheveled hair, big eyes, and witty charm. We know him as the genius and physicist who changed the way we see the world. His famous formula of E=mc2 revolutionized scientific thought and brought us into the nuclear age. Through his ¡°Special Theory of Relativity¡± he reasoned that since everything in the universe is in motion, all knowledge is a matter of perspective. He believed that the speed of light is the only constant by which we can measure space, time, or physical mass. Long before Einstein, Jesus talked about the role of light in understanding our world, but from a different perspective. To support His claim to be the Light of the World (John 8:12), Jesus healed a man who had been blind from birth (9:6). When the Pharisees accused Christ of being a sinner, this grateful man said, ¡°Whether He is a sinner or not I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see¡± (v. 25). While Einstein¡¯s ideas would later be proven difficult to test, Jesus¡¯ claims can be tested. We can spend time with Jesus in the Gospels. We can invite Him into our daily routine. We can see for ourselves that He can change our perspective on everything. - Mart DeHaan		[ 요한복음 9:1 - 9:7 ] - 찬송가 293 장 예수께서 또 말씀하여 이르시되 “나는 세상의 빛이니”- 요한복음 8:12 우리는 알버트 아인슈타인을 그의 헝클어진 머리와 커다란 눈과 재치 있는 매력만으로 기억하지는 않습니다. 우리는 그를 세상을 보는 방식을 바꾼 천재이자 물리학자로 생각합니다. 그의 유명한 공식 E=mc2은 과학적 사고에 혁명을 일으켰고, 우리를 핵의 시대로 이끌었습니다. “특수 상대성 이론”을 통해 그는 우주의 모든 것은 움직이고 있기 때문에, 모든 지식은 관점의 문제라고 추론했습니다. 그는 빛의 속도만이 유일하게 변하지 않는 상수이고, 그것을 이용해 우리가 공간과 시간, 또는 물질의 질량을 측정할 수 있다고 믿었습니다. 아인슈타인보다 훨씬 전에, 예수님은 세상을 이해하는 데 있어서 빛의 역할에 관해 다른 관점에서 말씀하셨습니다. 자신이 세상의 빛(요 8:12)이라는 주장을 증명하시기 위해 예수님은 날 때부터 맹인이었던 사람을 고치셨습니다(9:6). 바리새인들이 그리스도를 죄인이라 비난했을 때 감사가 넘친 이 사람은 “그가 죄인인지 내가 알지 못하나 한 가지 아는 것은 내가 맹인으로 있다가 지금 보는 그것이니이다”(25절)라고 말했습니다. 아인슈타인의 개념이 검증하기가 어렵다는 것이 후일 밝혀졌지만, 예수님의 주장은 검증할 수 있습니다. 우리는 복음 안에서 예수님과 시간을 보낼 수 있고, 예수님을 우리의 일상생활 안으로 초대할 수 있습니다. 우리는 모든 일에 대한 우리의 관점을 예수님께서 바꾸실 수 있음을 알 수 있습니다.

Lord Jesus, You are the one constant in this chaotic world. Thank You for being the one true Light that the darkness can never extinguish.

Only as we walk in Christ¡¯s light can we live in His love.

John 9:1-7

[1] Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.
[2] And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
[3] Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.
[4] "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
[5] "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
[6] When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.
[7] And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

주 예수님, 주님은 이 혼돈의 세상에서 불변하시는 분이십니다. 어둠이 결코 끌 수 없는 유일하고 참된 빛이신 주님께 감사드립니다.

그리스도의 빛 안에서 걸을 때에만 주님의 사랑 안에서 살 수 있다.

요한복음 9:1-7

[1] 예수께서 길을 가실 때에 날 때부터 맹인 된 사람을 보신지라
[2] 제자들이 물어 이르되 랍비여 이 사람이 맹인으로 난 것이 누구의 죄로 인함이니이까 자기니이까 그의 부모니이까
[3] 예수께서 대답하시되 이 사람이나 그 부모의 죄로 인한 것이 아니라 그에게서 하나님이 하시는 일을 나타내고자 하심이라
[4] 때가 아직 낮이매 나를 보내신 이의 일을 우리가 하여야 하리라 밤이 오리니 그 때는 아무도 일할 수 없느니라
[5] 내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라
[6] 이 말씀을 하시고 땅에 침을 뱉어 진흙을 이겨 그의 눈에 바르시고
[7] 이르시되 실로암 못에 가서 씻으라 하시니 (실로암은 번역하면 보냄을 받았다는 뜻이라) 이에 가서 씻고 밝은 눈으로 왔더라
