Debits and Credits		차변과 대변
[ John 16:1 - 16:11 ] - hymn 357 In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. - John 16:33 NIV When my husband was teaching an accounting class at a local college, I took one of the tests just for fun to see how well I could do. The results were not good. I answered every question wrong. The reason for my failure was that I started with a faulty understanding of a basic banking concept. I reversed debits and credits. We sometimes get our debits and credits confused in the spiritual realm as well. When we blame Satan for everything that goes wrong—whether it¡¯s bad weather, a jammed printer, or financial trouble—we¡¯re actually giving him credit that he doesn¡¯t deserve. We are ascribing to him the power to determine the quality of our lives, which he does not have. Satan is limited in time and space. He has to ask God¡¯s permission before he can touch us (Job1:12; Luke 22:31). However, as the father of lies and prince of this world (John 8:44;16:11), Satan can cause confusion. Jesus warned of a time when people would be so confused that they wouldn't know right from wrong (16:2). But He added this assurance: ¡°The prince of this world now stands condemned¡±(v.11 NIV). Problems will disrupt our lives, but they cannot defeat us. Jesus has already overcome the world. To Him goes all the credit. - Julie Ackerman Link		[ 요한복음 16:1 - 16:11 ] - 찬송가 357 장 세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라 - 요한복음 16:33 남편이 지역의 한 대학에서 회계학을 강의하고 있었을 때, 내가 얼마나 풀 수 있는지 궁금해서 심심풀이로 시험을 한 번 치러본 적이 있었습니다. 결과는 안 좋았습니다. 나는 모든 문제를 틀리게 답했습니다. 내가 실패했던 이유는 기본적인 금융개념을 처음부터 제대로 이해하지 못했기 때문입니다. 차변과 대변을 반대로 생각했던 것입니다. 우리는 때때로 영적인 영역 안에서도 차변과 대변을 혼동합니다. 우리가 안 좋은 날씨나 고장 난 프린터기, 재정적인 문제 등 잘 안 되는 모든 일을 사탄의 책임으로 돌릴 때, 사실은 그럴 때마다 인정받을 자격이 전혀 없는 사탄을 우리가 인정하는 것입니다. 사탄에게는 우리 인생의 질을 결정할 수 있는 힘이 전혀 없는데도, 우리는 그에게 그런 힘이 있는 것처럼 여기는 것입니다. 사탄은 시간과 공간에 제한을 받습니다. 그는 우리의 몸에 손을 대기 전에 하나님의 허락을 먼저 받아야 합니다(욥 1:12; 눅 22:31). 그러나 거짓의 아비요 이 세상의 임금인 사탄은(요 8:44; 16:11) 혼란을 초래할 수 있습니다. 예수님은 사람들이 혼동된 나머지 옳고 그른 것을 구분하지 못하는 날이 올 것이라고 경고하셨습니다(16:2). 하지만 이런 확실한 말씀도 덧붙여주셨습니다. “이 세상 임금이 심판을 받았음이라”(11절). 많은 문제들이 우리의 삶을 방해하겠지만 우리를 이길 수는 없습니다. 예수님이 이 세상을 이미 이기셨습니다. 모든 영예는 주님의 몫입니다.

Thank You, Father, for being Lord over everything in our lives. We praise You for overcoming the world through Your Son.

While Satan accuses and confuses, God controls.

John 16:1-11

[1] "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.
[2] "They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.
[3] "And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.
[4] "But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.
[5] "But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?'
[6] "But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
[7] "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
[8] "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
[9] "of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
[10] "of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
[11] "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

하나님 아버지, 우리의 삶의 모든 것에 주인이심을 인하여 감사드립니다.
하나님의 아들을 통해서 세상을 이기셨음을 찬양합니다.

사탄이 고소하고 혼란케 하지만, 하나님이 다스리신다.

요한복음 16:1-11

[1] 내가 이것을 너희에게 이름은 너희로 실족하지 않게 하려 함이니
[2] 사람들이 너희를 출교할 뿐 아니라 때가 이르면 무릇 너희를 죽이는 자가 생각하기를 이것이 하나님을 섬기는 일이라 하리라
[3] 그들이 이런 일을 할 것은 아버지와 나를 알지 못함이라
[4] 오직 너희에게 이 말을 한 것은 너희로 그 때를 당하면 내가 너희에게 말한 이것을 기억나게 하려 함이요 처음부터 이 말을 하지 아니한 것은 내가 너희와 함께 있었음이라
[5] 지금 내가 나를 보내신 이에게로 가는데 너희 중에서 나더러 어디로 가는지 묻는 자가 없고
[6] 도리어 내가 이 말을 하므로 너희 마음에 근심이 가득하였도다
[7] 그러나 내가 너희에게 실상을 말하노니 내가 떠나가는 것이 너희에게 유익이라 내가 떠나가지 아니하면 보혜사가 너희에게로 오시지 아니할 것이요 가면 내가 그를 너희에게로 보내리니
[8] 그가 와서 죄에 대하여, 의에 대하여, 심판에 대하여 세상을 책망하시리라
[9] 죄에 대하여라 함은 그들이 나를 믿지 아니함이요
[10] 의에 대하여라 함은 내가 아버지께로 가니 너희가 다시 나를 보지 못함이요
[11] 심판에 대하여라 함은 이 세상 임금이 심판을 받았음이라
