God¡¯s Good Heart		하나님의 선하신 마음
[ Romans 5:1 - 5:11 ] - hymn 543 Count it all joy when you fall into various trials. - James 1:2 Roger had been through a lot. He had open-heart surgery to repair a leaky valve. Then, within just a couple of weeks, doctors had to perform the surgery again because of complications. He had just begun to heal with physical therapy when he had a biking accident and broke his collarbone. Added to this, Roger also experienced the heartbreak of losing his mother during this time. He became very discouraged. When a friend asked him if he had seen God at work in any small ways, he confessed that he really didn¡¯t feel he had. I appreciate Roger¡¯s honesty. Feelings of discouragement or doubt are part of my life too. In Romans, the apostle Paul says, ¡°We can rejoice ... when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation¡±(5:3-4 nlt). But that doesn¡¯t mean we always feel the joy. We may just need someone to sit down and listen to us pour out our hearts to them, and to talk with God. Sometimes it takes looking back on the situation before we see how our faith has grown during trials and doubts. Knowing that God wants to use our difficulties to strengthen our faith can help us to trust His good heart for us. - Anne Cetas		[ 로마서 5:1 - 5:11 ] - 찬송가 543 장 너희가 여러 가지 시험을 당하거든 온전히 기쁘게 여기라 - 야고보서 1:2 로저는 많은 시련을 겪었습니다. 심장판막 질환을 고치기 위해 가슴절개 수술을 받았는데, 겨우 두 주도 안 되어 합병증 때문에 의사들이 재수술을 해야 했습니다. 그리고 물리치료로 몸이 회복되기 시작할 무렵, 자전거 사고로 쇄골이 부서졌습니다. 설상가상으로 이 즈음에 어머님을 잃는 슬픔도 겪었습니다. 그는 매우 낙심하였습니다. 한 친구가 그에게 하나님께서 역사하시는 일을 조금이라도 경험해 보았느냐고 물었을 때, 로저는 아직 체험하지 못한 것 같다고 고백했습니다. 나는 로저의 정직한 말에 공감합니다. 내 삶에도 좌절감과 의구심이 있기 때문입니다. 로마서에서 바울사도는 다음과 같이 말합니다. “다만 이뿐 아니라 우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 이는 환난은 인내를, 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이로다”(5:3-4). 그러나 이 말은 우리가 항상 즐거움을 느낀다는 말이 아닙니다. 그러기 위해 단지 마음을 열어 이야기할 때 같이 앉아 들어주며, 또 같이 하나님께 기도할 수 있는 누군가가 우리에게 필요할 수도 있습니다. 그리고 때로는 지나간 일들을 돌아봄으로써 시련과 의심을 통해 우리의 믿음이 얼마나 성장했는지를 깨닫게 되기도 합니다. 하나님은 우리가 겪는 시련들을 사용하여 우리의 믿음을 굳건하게 해주신다는 사실을 알게 되면, 우리를 위한 하나님의 선하신 마음을 믿고 의지하는데 도움이 됩니다.

In what ways has God used trials in your life? Are you learning to trust Him more?

God may lead us into troubled waters to deepen our trust in Him.

Romans 5:1-11

[1] Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
[2] through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
[3] And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
[4] and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
[5] Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
[6] For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
[7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
[8] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
[9] Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
[10] For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
[11] And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

하나님께서는 당신 삶 속에서의 시련들을 어떻게 사용하셨습니까? 그로 인해 하나님을 더 신뢰하는 것을 배우고 있습니까?

하나님은 우리 믿음의 깊이를 더하기 위해 우리를 거친 바다로 이끌어내신다.

로마서 5:1-11

[1] 그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자
[2] 또한 그로 말미암아 우리가 믿음으로 서 있는 이 은혜에 들어감을 얻었으며 하나님의 영광을 바라고 즐거워하느니라
[3] 다만 이뿐 아니라 우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 이는 환난은 인내를,
[4] 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이로다
[5] 소망이 우리를 부끄럽게 하지 아니함은 우리에게 주신 성령으로 말미암아 하나님의 사랑이 우리 마음에 부은 바 됨이니
[6] 우리가 아직 연약할 때에 기약대로 그리스도께서 경건하지 않은 자를 위하여 죽으셨도다
[7] 의인을 위하여 죽는 자가 쉽지 않고 선인을 위하여 용감히 죽는 자가 혹 있거니와
[8] 우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라
[9] 그러면 이제 우리가 그의 피로 말미암아 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 더욱 그로 말미암아 진노하심에서 구원을 받을 것이니
[10] 곧 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그의 아들의 죽으심으로 말미암아 하나님과 화목하게 되었은즉 화목하게 된 자로서는 더욱 그의 살아나심으로 말미암아 구원을 받을 것이니라
[11] 그뿐 아니라 이제 우리로 화목하게 하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님 안에서 또한 즐거워하느니라
