How To Have Peace		평화를 갖는 길
[ Colossians 1:15 - 1:23 ] - hymn 413 We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. - Romans 5:1 The Kamppi Chapel of Silence in Helsinki, Finland, stands out in its urban setting. The curved structure, covered with wood, buffers the noise from the busy city outside. Designers created the chapel as a quiet space and a ¡°calm environment for visitors to compose themselves.¡± It¡¯s a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Many people long for peace, and a few minutes of silence may soothe our minds. But the Bible teaches that real peace—peace with God—comes from His Son. The apostle Paul said, ¡°Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ¡±(Rom.5:1). Without Christ, we are enemies of God because of our sin. Thankfully, accepting Jesus¡¯ sacrifice reconciles us to God and ends the hostility that existed between us (Col.1:19-21). He now sees us as Christ presents us—¡°holy, and blameless, and above reproach¡±(v.22). Having peace with God does not ensure problem-free living. However, it does steady us during difficult times. Jesus told His followers, ¡°In the world you will have tribulation,¡± but He also said, ¡°In Me you may have peace¡±(John 16:33). Because of Christ, the true peace of God can fill our hearts (Col.3:15). - Jennifer Benson Schuldt		[ 골로새서 1:15 - 1:23 ] - 찬송가 413 장 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자 - 로마서 5:1 핀란드의 수도 헬싱키에 있는 “고요의 캠피 예배당”은 도시 한복판에 있음으로써 더욱 돋보입니다. 나무 재질로 덮인 예배당의 곡면 건축구조는 분주한 외부의 도시소음을 막아줍니다. 건축 설계사들은 조용한 장소를 마련하여 “방문객들이 자신의 마음을 가라앉힐 수 있는 정숙한 분위기”를 제공할 수 있도록 예배당을 만들었습니다. 그곳은 도시의 혼잡함과 북적댐으로부터 벗어나기에 아주 좋은 장소입니다. 많은 사람들이 마음의 평화를 염원하고 있고, 단 몇 분간의 조용한 시간이 우리의 마음을 가라앉혀줄 수도 있습니다. 그러나 성경은 진정한 평화, 즉 하나님과의 평화는 그분의 아들 예수님으로부터 온다고 가르쳐줍니다. 바울사도는 이렇게 말했습니다. “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자”(롬 5:1). 그리스도 없이는, 우리는 우리의 죄 때문에 하나님의 적입니다. 그러나 감사하게도 예수님의 희생을 받아들임으로써 우리는 하나님과 화목하게 되며 우리 사이에 있던 적개심도 없어집니다(골 1:19-21). 이제 하나님은 예수님이 우리를 “거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로”(22절) 여기시듯이 그렇게 우리를 보십니다. 하나님과 화평을 누린다 해서 우리 삶에 문제가 없어지는 것은 아니지만, 어려움이 있을 때 우리를 굳건하게 해줍니다. 예수님은 제자들에게 “너희는 세상에서 환난을 당할 것이다.”라고 말씀하셨지만, 동시에 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “너희로 내 안에서 평안을 누리게 하려 함이라”(요 16:33). 예수님 때문에 하나님의 참된 평화가 우리 마음을 가득 채워줍니다(골 3:15).

Father, we long for Your peace in the midst of our turmoil. Please help us to rest in You.

Peace floods the soul when Christ rules the heart.

Colossians 1:15-23

[15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
[16] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
[17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
[18] And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
[19] For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
[20] and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
[21] And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
[22] in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--
[23] if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

주 하나님 아버지, 우리의 혼란한 삶 속에 하나님의 평강을 간절히 고대합니다. 우리가 하나님 안에서 쉴 수 있도록 도와주소서.

그리스도가 마음을 다스리실 때 영혼에 평화가 넘쳐흐른다.

골로새서 1:15-23

[15] 그는 보이지 아니하는 하나님의 형상이시요 모든 피조물보다 먼저 나신 이시니
[16] 만물이 그에게서 창조되되 하늘과 땅에서 보이는 것들과 보이지 않는 것들과 혹은 왕권들이나 주권들이나 통치자들이나 권세들이나 만물이 다 그로 말미암고 그를 위하여 창조되었고
[17] 또한 그가 만물보다 먼저 계시고 만물이 그 안에 함께 섰느니라
[18] 그는 몸인 교회의 머리시라 그가 근본이시요 죽은 자들 가운데서 먼저 나신 이시니 이는 친히 만물의 으뜸이 되려 하심이요
[19] 아버지께서는 모든 충만으로 예수 안에 거하게 하시고
[20] 그의 십자가의 피로 화평을 이루사 만물 곧 땅에 있는 것들이나 하늘에 있는 것들이 그로 말미암아 자기와 화목하게 되기를 기뻐하심이라
[21] 전에 악한 행실로 멀리 떠나 마음으로 원수가 되었던 너희를
[22] 이제는 그의 육체의 죽음으로 말미암아 화목하게 하사 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로 그 앞에 세우고자 하셨으니
[23] 만일 너희가 믿음에 거하고 터 위에 굳게 서서 너희 들은 바 복음의 소망에서 흔들리지 아니하면 그리하리라 이 복음은 천하 만민에게 전파된 바요 나 바울은 이 복음의 일꾼이 되었노라
