[ Proverbs 30:1 - 30:4 ] - hymn 93 I am afraid that ... your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. — 2 Corinthians 11:3 niv The riddle stumped me: What is greater than God—and more evil than the devil? The poor have it. The rich need it. And if you eat it you will die. I missed the solution by allowing my mind to be distracted from the obvious answer: ¡°Nothing.¡± That riddle reminds me of another test of wits that would have been far more difficult to solve when it was originally posed. An ancient wise man named Agur asked: ¡°Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son¡¯s name, if you know?¡±(Prov.30:4). Today, we know the answer to those questions. But sometimes when we¡¯re in the middle of the questions, worries, and needs of our lives we may lose sight of the obvious. The details of life can so easily distract us from the One who answers the most important riddle: Who is One with God; more powerful than the devil; the poor can have Him; the rich need Him; and if you eat and drink from His table, you¡¯ll never die? Jesus Christ, the Lord. — Mart DeHaan		[ 잠언 30:1 - 30:4 ] - 찬송가 93 장 너희 마음이 그리스도를 향하는 진실함과 깨끗함에서 떠나 부패할까 두려워하노라 — 고린도후서 11:3 나는 수수께끼를 풀지 못해 쩔쩔맸습니다. 무엇이 하나님보다 위대한가? 그리고 무엇이 악마보다 더 악한가? 가난한 자들은 이것을 가졌지만 부자들은 이것이 필요하다. 그리고 만일 당신이 이것을 먹으면 죽게 될 것이다. 명백한 답인 “아무것도 없음”을 놔두고 내 마음이 집중을 못해서 나는 정답을 맞히지 못했습니다. 이 수수께끼는 응답자의 재치를 시험하는 다른 수수께끼가 생각나게 해줍니다. 그 수수께끼는 처음 나왔을 때 훨씬 더 풀기 어려웠었습니다. 아굴이라는 옛 현자가 이렇게 물었습니다. “하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그의 이름이 무엇인지, 그의 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐”(잠 30:4). 지금 우리는 그 질문의 답을 알고 있습니다. 그러나 우리가 살다가 의문과 걱정과 어려움에 휩싸일 때 명확한 식견을 잃어버릴 수도 있고, 삶의 지엽적인 일들이 다음과 같은 가장 중요한 수수께끼의 답이 되시는 분으로부터 우리를 쉽게 돌아서게 만들어버릴 수 있습니다. 하나님과 함께 계시고, 악마보다 더 권세가 있고, 가난한 자는 가질 수 있으며, 부한 자는 필요한 분. 그리고 그분의 상에서 먹고 마시면 우리가 결코 죽지 않게 되는 그분은 누구일까요? 바로 예수 그리스도, 주님이십니다.

Father, in the details and distractions of our spiritual journey, it is so easy to look right past You and Your Son. May we see You today in a new and fresh way.

Focusing on God helps us to take our eyes off our circumstances.

Proverbs 30:1-4

[1] The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, his utterance. This man declared to Ithiel--to Ithiel and Ucal:
[2] Surely I am more stupid than any man, And do not have the understanding of a man.
[3] I neither learned wisdom Nor have knowledge of the Holy One.
[4] Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, If you know?

하나님 아버지, 우리는 영적인 여정에서
지엽적인 일들과 주의를 산만하게 만드는 일들로 인해
너무 쉽게 하나님과 하나님의 아들을 지나쳐 버립니다.
오늘 우리가 새롭고 신선한 방법으로 주님을 보게 해주소서.

하나님께 초점을 맞추면 우리의 환경에서 눈을 떼는 데 도움이 된다.
