[ 1 Corinthians 12:1 - 12:11 ] - hymn 459 [The Lord] gave some ... for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. — Ephesians 4:11-12 A pastor¡¯s wife was diagnosed with Parkinson¡¯s disease. That put the family in a difficult, stressful situation. The pastor wondered how he was going to be able to take good care of her while he still had responsibilities for his church family. But he needn¡¯t have worried because church members stepped up and volunteered to assist him with meals and some of her care. The apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church about the purpose for which the Lord gave them their spiritual gifts. Before he listed the diversity of gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, he reminded them that ¡°a spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other¡±(v.7 nlt). God does not give His spiritual gifts for our own selfish use but to serve others, and in so doing, we serve Him. We are all given different gifts to be used at different times and in different ways. But they are all to be used in love for the ¡°edifying of the body of Christ¡±(Eph.4:12). Wherever God has placed us, we can use what He has gifted us to do as we see the need, remembering that we are all part of the church—the body of Christ (1 Cor.12:13-14). — C.P.Hia		[ 고린도전서 12:1 - 12:11 ] - 찬송가 459 장 [주님이]…로 삼으셨으니 이는 성도를 온전하게 하여 봉사의 일을 하게 하며 그리스도의 몸을 세우려 하심이라 — 에베소서 4:11-12 어느 목사의 아내가 파킨슨병을 진단받고 나서 그의 가족들이 어렵고 힘든 상황을 맞이하게 되었습니다. 그는 어떻게 하면 교회 목회 사역을 감당하면서 아내를 잘 돌볼 수 있을까 고민하였습니다. 하지만 그는 걱정할 필요가 없었습니다. 교회 사람들이 식사와 그녀를 돌보는 일에 자발적으로 나서서 그를 도와주었기 때문입니다. 바울사도는 고린도교회에 편지를 보내어 주님이 그들에게 영적인 은사를 주신 이유를 알게 하였습니다. 그는 고린도전서 12:8-10에서 다양한 은사를 나열하기 전에, 우리 각자에게 각기 다른 영적 은사를 주신 것은 서로를 돕기 위함이라고 일러주었습니다(7절). 하나님이 우리에게 그분의 영적 은사를 주시는 것은 우리가 자신을 위해 이기적으로 사용하라고 그런 것이 아니라, 다른 사람들을 섬기고 그렇게 함으로써 하나님을 섬기라고 주시는 것입니다. 우리는 모두 각기 다른 시간에 각기 다른 방법으로 사용될 다른 은사들을 받았습니다. 하지만 그 은사들은 모두 사랑 안에서 “그리스도의 몸을 세우는 데”(엡 4:12) 쓰여야 합니다. 하나님이 우리를 어디에 두시든지, 우리는 모두 그리스도의 몸인 교회의 지체임을(고전 12:13-14) 기억하고 하나님이 우리에게 주신 은사를 필요한 곳에 써야 합니다.

Thank You, Father, for the wonderful gifts You have given Your church. Help me to understand how You have gifted me to encourage other believers, and to spread the message of Your love to the world.

Use your gifts to exercise care for others.

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

[1] Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
[2] You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.
[3] Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
[4] There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
[5] There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
[6] And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
[7] But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
[8] for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
[9] to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
[10] to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
[11] But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

하나님 아버지, 교회에 주신 놀라운 은사들을 감사드립니다.
다른 신자들을 격려하고
하나님의 사랑의 소식을 세상에 전할 수 있도록
하나님이 제게 어떤 은사를 주셨는지 알 수 있게 도와주소서.

다른 사람들을 돌보는 데 당신의 은사를 사용하라.

고린도전서 12:1-11

[1] 형제들아 신령한 것에 대하여 나는 너희가 알지 못하기를 원하지 아니하노니
[2] 너희도 알거니와 너희가 이방인으로 있을 때에 말 못하는 우상에게로 끄는 그대로 끌려 갔느니라
[3] 그러므로 내가 너희에게 알리노니 하나님의 영으로 말하는 자는 누구든지 예수를 저주할 자라 하지 아니하고 또 성령으로 아니하고는 누구든지 예수를 주시라 할 수 없느니라
[4] 은사는 여러 가지나 성령은 같고
[5] 직분은 여러 가지나 주는 같으며
[6] 또 사역은 여러 가지나 모든 것을 모든 사람 가운데서 이루시는 하나님은 같으니
[7] 각 사람에게 성령을 나타내심은 유익하게 하려 하심이라
[8] 어떤 사람에게는 성령으로 말미암아 지혜의 말씀을, 어떤 사람에게는 같은 성령을 따라 지식의 말씀을,
[9] 다른 사람에게는 같은 성령으로 믿음을, 어떤 사람에게는 한 성령으로 병 고치는 은사를,
[10] 어떤 사람에게는 능력 행함을, 어떤 사람에게는 예언함을, 어떤 사람에게는 영들 분별함을, 다른 사람에게는 각종 방언 말함을, 어떤 사람에게는 방언들 통역함을 주시나니
[11] 이 모든 일은 같은 한 성령이 행하사 그의 뜻대로 각 사람에게 나누어 주시는 것이니라
