And Then You Laugh		그때는 웃게 되리
[ 2 Corinthians 5:1 - 5:8 ] - hymn 150 [God] made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. — 2 Corinthians 5:21 Noise. Vibration. Pressure. Fireball. Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield used these words to describe being launched into space. As the rocket raced toward the International Space Station, the weight of gravity increased and breathing became difficult. Just when he thought he would pass out, the rocket made a fiery breakthrough into weightlessness. Instead of lapsing into unconsciousness, he broke into laughter. His description made me think of the days leading to my mother¡¯s death. The heaviness of life kept increasing until she no longer had the strength to breathe. She was then released from her pain and broke free into the ¡°weightlessness¡± of heaven. I like to think of her laughing when she took her first breath in Jesus¡¯ presence. On the Friday we call ¡°good,¡± something similar happened to Jesus. God placed on Him the weight of the entire world¡¯s sin—past, present, and future—until He could no longer breathe. Then He said, ¡°Father, ¡®into Your hands I commit My spirit¡¯¡±(Luke 23:46). After being suffocated by our sin, Jesus received back from God the life entrusted to Him and now lives where sin and death have no power. All who trust Christ will one day join Him, and I wonder if we¡¯ll look back at this life and laugh. — Julie Ackerman Link		[ 고린도후서 5:1 - 5:8 ] - 찬송가 150 장 하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라 — 고린도후서 5:21 소음, 진동, 압력, 불덩이. 캐나다의 우주비행사 크리스 햇필드가 우주로 발사되는 과정을 표현한 말들입니다. 로켓이 국제 우주정거장을 향해 날아가자 중력의 무게가 증가하여 숨을 쉬기가 어려워졌습니다. 그가 기절할 것 같다는 생각을 하는 순간, 로켓은 불을 뿜으며 무중력상태로 돌입했습니다. 혼수상태에 빠지는 대신 그는 웃음을 터뜨렸습니다. 그의 그 같은 묘사는 나에게 어머니가 돌아가시던 때를 생각나게 해주었습니다. 삶의 무게는 점점 더 무거워져 마침내 어머니는 더 이상 숨 쉴 힘도 남아있지 않게 되었습니다. 그때 어머니는 고통에서 해방되어 하늘나라의 “무중력상태”로 들어가셨습니다. 나는 어머니가 예수님 앞에서 첫 숨을 쉬게 되었을 때 웃으셨을 것으로 생각합니다. 우리가 성스럽다고 부르는 그 금요일에 이와 비슷한 일이 예수님에게 일어났습니다. 하나님은 과거와 현재와 미래의 온 세상 죄의 짐을 예수님이 더 이상 숨을 쉴 수 없을 때까지 그분 위에 올려놓으셨습니다. 그때 예수님은 “아버지 내 영혼을 아버지 손에 부탁하나이다”(눅 23:46)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 우리의 죄로 질식된 후에 예수님은 그분께 맡겨진 생명을 하나님으로부터 되받으시고 지금은 죄와 죽음의 권세가 없는 곳에 살아계십니다. 그리스도를 믿는 모든 사람은 언젠가 그분을 만날 것입니다. 그리고 그때는 우리가 이생의 삶을 되돌아보며 웃지 않을까 하고 나는 생각합니다.

Father in heaven, words cannot describe our gratitude for Your Son Jesus, who bore the weight of our sins. Thank You that to be absent from this body with its heavy burdens is to be present with You forever.

The sacrifice of Jesus points us to the joy of heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:1-8

[1] For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
[2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
[3] if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.
[4] For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
[5] Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
[6] So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
[7] For we walk by faith, not by sight.
[8] We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

하늘에 계신 아버지, 우리의 죄 짐을 지신
하나님의 아들에 대한 감사를 말로 형용할 길이 없습니다.
무거운 짐을 진 이 육신에서 벗어나는 것이
바로 당신과 영원히 함께 하는 것임을 감사합니다.

예수님의 희생은 우리를 천국의 기쁨으로 이끌어준다.

고린도후서 5:1-8

[1] 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막 집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 집 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아니요 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 줄 아느니라
[2] 참으로 우리가 여기 있어 탄식하며 하늘로부터 오는 우리 처소로 덧입기를 간절히 사모하노라
[3] 이렇게 입음은 우리가 벗은 자들로 발견되지 않으려 함이라
[4] 참으로 이 장막에 있는 우리가 짐진 것 같이 탄식하는 것은 벗고자 함이 아니요 오히려 덧입고자 함이니 죽을 것이 생명에 삼킨 바 되게 하려 함이라
[5] 곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라
[6] 그러므로 우리가 항상 담대하여 몸으로 있을 때에는 주와 따로 있는 줄을 아노니
[7] 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 행하지 아니함이로라
[8] 우리가 담대하여 원하는 바는 차라리 몸을 떠나 주와 함께 있는 그것이라
