Who Are You?		당신은 누구십니까?
[ Matthew 21:1 - 21:11 ] - hymn 96 When [Jesus] had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, ¡°Who is this?¡± — Matthew 21:10 From time to time, we read of people who are offended at not being treated with what they consider due respect and deference. ¡°Do you know who I am?¡±they shout indignantly. And we are reminded of the statement, ¡°If you have to tell people who you are, you probably really aren¡¯t who you think you are.¡±The polar opposite of this arrogance and self-importance is seen in Jesus, even as His life on earth was nearing its end. Jesus entered Jerusalem to shouts of praise from the people (Matt. 21:7-9). When others throughout the city asked, ¡°Who is this?¡±the crowds answered, ¡°This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee¡±(vv.10-11). He didn¡¯t come claiming special privileges, but in humility He came to give His life in obedience to His Father¡¯s will. The words Jesus said and the things He did commanded respect. Unlike insecure rulers, He never demanded that others respect Him. His greatest hours of suffering appeared to be His lowest point of weakness and failure. Yet, the strength of His identity and mission carried Jesus through the darkest hours as He died for our sins so that we might live in His love. He is worthy of our lives and our devotion today. Do we recognize who He is? — David McCasland		[ 마태복음 21:1 - 21:11 ] - 찬송가 96 장 예수께서 예루살렘에 들어가시니 온 성이 소동하여 이르되 이는 누구냐 하거늘 — 마태복음 21:10 우리는 자기가 기대하는 만큼의 존경과 경의로 대접받지 못해 마음이 상한 사람들의 이야기를 가끔씩 읽습니다. 그들은 “내가 누군지 알아?”라고 분개하여 소리칩니다. 그러나 우리는 “당신이 누구라는 것을 사람들에게 말해야 한다면, 당신은 당신이 생각하는 그런 사람이 정말 아닐 수도 있다.”라는 말을 기억합니다. 우리는 이 오만하고 자기중심적인 모습의 정반대 모습을 이 땅에서의 삶이 거의 마지막에 이르렀던 예수님 안에서 볼 수 있습니다. 예수님은 많은 사람들이 찬양을 외치는 가운데 예루살렘으로 들어가셨습니다(마 21:7-9). 성에 있는 많은 사람들이 “이는 누구냐”라고 물었을 때, 군중들은 “갈릴리 나사렛에서 나온 선지자 예수”라고 대답했습니다(10-11절). 주님은 특별한 특권을 행사하러 오신 것이 아니라, 겸손히 아버지의 뜻대로 순종하여 주님의 생명을 주시려고 오셨습니다. 사람들은 예수님이 말씀하신 것과 주님이 행하신 것들로 인해 주님을 존경합니다. 자신 없는 지도자들과 달리, 주님은 자신을 존중하라고 다른 사람들에게 결코 요구하시지 않았습니다. 주님이 극심하게 고통을 받으셨던 그 시간들은 약하고 실패한 모습의 가장 밑바닥의 주님의 모습을 드러낸 것 같아 보였습니다. 그러나 예수님은 주님의 신분과 그 사명감의 능력으로 우리 죄를 위해 돌아가신 가장 어두운 시간들을 이겨내셨고, 그로 인해 우리는 주님의 사랑 안에서 살 수 있게 되었습니다. 주님은 오늘 우리의 삶을 드리고 우리의 헌신을 바칠만한 분이십니다. 우리는 주님이 누구신지 알고 있습니까?

Lord, I am in awe of Your humility, strength, and love.
And I am embarrassed by my desires for self-importance.
May knowing You change every self-centered motive in
my heart into a longing to live as You did in this world.

Matthew 21:1-11

[1] Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
[2] saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.
[3] "And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord has need of them,' and immediately he will send them."
[4] All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:
[5] "Tell the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.'"
[6] So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.
[7] They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
[8] And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
[9] Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna to the Son of David! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!' Hosanna in the highest!"
[10] And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, "Who is this?"
[11] So the multitudes said, "This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee."

주님, 주님의 겸손과 힘과 사랑을 경외합니다.
나를 소중히 여기려는 내 욕망이 부끄럽습니다. 주님을 앎으로써
내 마음속의 모든 나 중심적인 동기들이 이 세상에서 주님이
행하셨던 것처럼 살고자 하는 마음으로 바뀌게 해주소서.

예수님을 한번 보면 당신은 이전과 결코 같아질 수 없다.

마태복음 21:1-11

[1] 그들이 예루살렘에 가까이 가서 감람 산 벳바게에 이르렀을 때에 예수께서 두 제자를 보내시며
[2] 이르시되 너희는 맞은편 마을로 가라 그리하면 곧 매인 나귀와 나귀 새끼가 함께 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 내게로 끌고 오라
[3] 만일 누가 무슨 말을 하거든 주가 쓰시겠다 하라 그리하면 즉시 보내리라 하시니
[4] 이는 선지자를 통하여 하신 말씀을 이루려 하심이라 일렀으되
[5] 시온 딸에게 이르기를 네 왕이 네게 임하나니 그는 겸손하여 나귀, 곧 멍에 메는 짐승의 새끼를 탔도다 하라 하였느니라
[6] 제자들이 가서 예수께서 명하신 대로 하여
[7] 나귀와 나귀 새끼를 끌고 와서 자기들의 겉옷을 그 위에 얹으매 예수께서 그 위에 타시니
[8] 무리의 대다수는 그들의 겉옷을 길에 펴고 다른 이들은 나뭇가지를 베어 길에 펴고
[9] 앞에서 가고 뒤에서 따르는 무리가 소리 높여 이르되 호산나 다윗의 자손이여 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 이여 가장 높은 곳에서 호산나 하더라
[10] 예수께서 예루살렘에 들어가시니 온 성이 소동하여 이르되 이는 누구냐 하거늘
[11] 무리가 이르되 갈릴리 나사렛에서 나온 선지자 예수라 하니라
