GOD¡¯s Clocks Keep Perfect Time		하나님의 시계
[ Luke 2:36 - 2:40 ] - hymn 434 She ... spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem. — Luke 2:38 I visit two elderly women from time to time. One has no financial worries, is fit for her age, and lives in her own home. But she can always fi-nd something negative to say. The other is crippled with arthritis and rather forgetful. She lives in simple accommodations, and keeps a reminder pad so she won¡¯t forget her appointments. But to every visitor to her tiny apartment, her first comment is always the same: ¡°God is so good to me.¡±Handing her the reminder pad on my last visit, I noticed that she had written the day before ¡°Out to lunch tomorrow! Wonderful! Another happy day.¡± Anna was a prophetess at the time of Jesus¡¯birth, and her circumstances were hard (Luke 2:36-37). Widowed early and possibly childless, she may have felt purposeless and destitute. But her focus was on God and serving Him. She was yearning for the Messiah, but in the meantime she was busy about God¡¯s business—praying, fasting, and teaching others all that she had learned from Him. Finally the day arrived when she—now in her eighties—saw the infant Messiah in his young mother¡¯s arms. All her patient waiting was worthwhile. Her heart sang with joy as she praised God and then passed the glad news on to others. — Marion Stroud		[ 누가복음 2:36 - 2:40 ] - 찬송가 434 장 [안나가] 예루살렘의 속량을 바라는 모든 사람에게 그[이 아기]에 대하여 말하니라 - 누가복음 2:38 나는 가끔 두 할머니를 방문합니다. 한 분은 경제적으로 아무 염려 없고 연세에 비해 건강하셔서 자기 집에서 사십니다. 그러나 그분은 언제나 부정적으로 말할 거리만 찾습니다. 다른 한 분은 관절염으로 걸음도 제대로 못 걸으며 건망증도 있습니다. 그녀는 조촐한 아파트에서 살고 있고 약속시간을 잊지 않기 위해 메모지를 지니고 다닙니다. 그녀의 작은 아파트를 찾아오는 모든 방문객들에게 그녀가 하는 첫 마디는 언제나 똑같습니다. “하나님은 참 좋으신 분이세요.”지난번에 방문했을 때 그녀가 나에게 메모지를 보여주기에 보니, 거기에는 내가 방문하기 하루 전에 적은 메모에 “내일 점심 약속! 기쁘다! 또 즐거운 날!”이라고 적혀있었습니다. 예수님이 태어날 당시 여선지자였던 안나는 어려운 상황에 처해 있었습니다(눅 2:36-37). 일찍 과부가 되어 자녀도 없었던 것 같습니다. 그녀는 삶의 목적도 없고 빈곤했을지도 모릅니다. 그러나 그녀의 초점은 하나님과 하나님을 섬기는 데에 있었습니다. 그녀는 메시아를 간절히 기다리면서도 하나님의 일, 즉 기도와 금식과 주님으로부터 배운 것을 다른 사람들에게 가르치는 일로 바빴습니다. 마침내 그 날이 와서 이제 80대가 된 그녀는 젊은 엄마 품에 안겨 있는 아기 메시아를 볼 수 있었습니다. 그녀가 그동안 인내하며 기다릴 만한 가치가 있었던 것입니다. 그녀는 기쁜 마음으로 하나님을 찬양한 후 다른 사람들에게 그 기쁜 소식을 전해주었습니다.

Lord, I don¡¯t want to be a complainer anymore.
I want to be a person who overflows with thankfulness for others
and for You. May I accept whatever You give me in Your time.
Show me how to start today.

God¡¯s plan and our part: Both may be hard to see, but their intersection is the best place to be.

Luke 2:36-40

[36] Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
[37] and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
[38] And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
[39] So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth.
[40] And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

주님, 더 이상 불평하는 자가 되지 않고 주님과 다른 사람들을 향해
감사가 넘치는 사람이 되고 싶습니다. 그리고 주님의 때에
주님께서 무엇을 주시든 감사하며 받기를 원합니다.
오늘 그것을 시작할 수 있는 길을 보여주시옵소서.

하나님의 계획과 우리의 몫을 다 같이 보기는 어렵다.
그러나 그 둘이 만나는 그곳이 가장 좋은 곳이다.

누가복음 2:36-40

[36] 또 아셀 지파 바누엘의 딸 안나라 하는 선지자가 있어 나이가 매우 많았더라 그가 결혼한 후 일곱 해 동안 남편과 함께 살다가
[37] 과부가 되고 팔십사 세가 되었더라 이 사람이 성전을 떠나지 아니하고 주야로 금식하며 기도함으로 섬기더니
[38] 마침 이 때에 나아와서 하나님께 감사하고 예루살렘의 속량을 바라는 모든 사람에게 그에 대하여 말하니라
[39] 주의 율법을 따라 모든 일을 마치고 갈릴리로 돌아가 본 동네 나사렛에 이르니라
[40] 아기가 자라며 강하여지고 지혜가 충만하며 하나님의 은혜가 그의 위에 있더라
