A Place To Be		진정한 거처
[ Nehemiah 1:4 - 1:11 ] - hymn 438 In My Father¡¯s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. — John 14:2 A thousand strands of time, events, and people weave into a tapestry we call place. More than just a house, place is where meaning, belonging, and safety come together under the covering of our best efforts at unconditional love. Place beckons us with memories buried deep in our souls. Even when our place isn¡¯t perfect, its hold on us is dramatic, magnetic. The Bible speaks frequently of place. We see an example in Nehemiah¡¯s longing for a restored Jerusalem (Neh.1:3-4; 2:2). It¡¯s no surprise, then, that Jesus would speak of place when He wants to comfort us. ¡°Let not your heart be troubled,¡±He began. Then He added: ¡°I go to prepare a place for you¡±(John 14:1-2). For those who have fond memories of earthly places, this promise links us to something we can easily understand and look forward to. And for those whose places have been anything but comforting and safe, Jesus promises that one day they will hear the sweet song place sings, for they will inhabit it with Him. Whatever the struggle, whatever the faltering on your faith journey, remember this: There¡¯s a place in heaven already waiting, fitted just for you. Jesus wouldn¡¯t have said so if it weren¡¯t true. — Randy Kilgore		[ 느헤미야 1:4 - 1:11 ] - 찬송가 438 장 내 아버지 집에 거할 곳이 많도다 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 일렀으리라 내가 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하러 가노니 — 요한복음 14:2 수많은 시간들과 사건들, 그리고 사람들을 엮어서 우리가 “거처”라고 부르는 직물을 짤 수 있습니다. 거처란 단순히 집이라는 개념을 넘어서서, 최선을 다하는 무조건적인 사랑 아래, 의미와 소유, 그리고 안전이 함께 어우러지는 장소입니다. 우리는 거처를 생각할 때 마음속 깊은 곳에 묻혀있는 추억을 떠올립니다. 비록 우리의 거처가 완전하지 못할 때라도 우리에게는 그것이 극적이고 매력적인 곳일 수 있습니다. 성경은 거처에 대한 이야기를 자주 들려줍니다. 느헤미야가 예루살렘 회복을 기원한 것(느 1:3-4; 2:2)이 그 한 가지 예입니다. 그러므로 예수님이 우리를 위로하시려고 거처에 대해 말씀하신 것도 놀랍지 않습니다. 예수님은 “너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라”고 하시면서 곧 이어 “내가 너희를 위하여 거처를 예비하러 가노니”라고 말씀하셨습니다(요 14:1-2). 이 땅의 거처에 대해 좋은 추억을 가지고 있는 사람들에게는 이 약속이 쉽게 이해되고 또 기대되는 어떤 것이 연결되어 생각될 것입니다. 그리고 이 땅의 거처가 편안하거나 안전하지 못했던 사람들에게는, 언젠가 그들이 예수님과 함께 거하게 될 그 거처에서 아름다운 노래 소리를 듣게 될 것이라고 주님이 약속해주십니다. 믿음의 여정에서 어떤 고통이나 장애를 만나더라도 당신에게 가장 적합한 거처가 하늘나라에 이미 마련되어 있다는 사실을 기억하십시오. 이것이 진실이 아니라면 예수님이 그렇게 말씀하시지 않으셨을 것입니다.

Jesus, I can¡¯t wait to live in the home
You have prepared for me. Thank You that no matter
what my earthly place holds, comfort or pain,
my home with You will be so much better.

Let the remembrance of our earthly place point us with hope to our heavenly place.

Nehemiah 1:4-11

[4] So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
[5] And I said: "I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments,
[6] "please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father's house and I have sinned.
[7] "We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.
[8] "Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;
[9] 'but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.'
[10] "Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.
[11] "O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man." For I was the king's cupbearer.

예수님, 주님께서 마련하신 본향에서 살 때까지
도저히 기다릴 수가 없습니다. 이 땅에서의 제 삶이
안락하든지 괴롭든지 주님과 함께 거할 저의 본향이
훨씬 더 좋을 것이라는 사실에 감사드립니다.

이 땅의 거처를 추억할 때 소망을 갖고
하늘나라 거처를 바라볼 수 있게 하소서.

느헤미야 1:4-11

[4] 내가 이 말을 듣고 앉아서 울고 수일 동안 슬퍼하며 하늘의 하나님 앞에 금식하며 기도하여
[5] 이르되 하늘의 하나님 여호와 크고 두려우신 하나님이여 주를 사랑하고 주의 계명을 지키는 자에게 언약을 지키시며 긍휼을 베푸시는 주여 간구하나이다
[6] 이제 종이 주의 종들인 이스라엘 자손을 위하여 주야로 기도하오며 우리 이스라엘 자손이 주께 범죄한 죄들을 자복하오니 주는 귀를 기울이시며 눈을 여시사 종의 기도를 들으시옵소서 나와 내 아버지의 집이 범죄하여
[7] 주를 향하여 크게 악을 행하여 주께서 주의 종 모세에게 명령하신 계명과 율례와 규례를 지키지 아니하였나이다
[8] 옛적에 주께서 주의 종 모세에게 명령하여 이르시되 만일 너희가 범죄하면 내가 너희를 여러 나라 가운데에 흩을 것이요
[9] 만일 내게로 돌아와 내 계명을 지켜 행하면 너희 쫓긴 자가 하늘 끝에 있을지라도 내가 거기서부터 그들을 모아 내 이름을 두려고 택한 곳에 돌아오게 하리라 하신 말씀을 이제 청하건대 기억하옵소서
[10] 이들은 주께서 일찍이 큰 권능과 강한 손으로 구속하신 주의 종들이요 주의 백성이니이다
[11] 주여 구하오니 귀를 기울이사 종의 기도와 주의 이름을 경외하기를 기뻐하는 종들의 기도를 들으시고 오늘 종이 형통하여 이 사람들 앞에서 은혜를 입게 하옵소서 하였나니 그 때에 내가 왕의 술 관원이 되었느니라
