Unexpected Encounter		예기치 못한 만남
[ Ruth 2:11 - 2:20 ] - hymn 212 The Lord repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the Lord God of Israel. — Ruth 2:12 Drew, young and enthusiastic, was leading the singing for the first time in a large church. Lois, a long-time attender, wanted to encourage him, but she thought it would be too difficult to get to the front of the church before he left. But then she saw a way to snake through the crowd. Lois told Drew, ¡°I appreciate your enthusiasm in worship. Keep serving Him!¡± As Lois walked away, she ran into Sharon, who she hadn¡¯t seen in months. After a short conversation, Sharon said, ¡°Thank you for what you do for the Lord. Keep serving Him!¡± Because Lois had gone out of her way to give encouragement, she was now in the right place to receive unexpected encouragement. After Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi, left Moab and returned to Israel, they received an unexpected blessing. They were both widows with no one to provide for them, so Ruth went to glean grain from a field (Ruth 2:2-3). The field happened to be owned by Boaz, a distant relative of Naomi¡¯s. He noticed Ruth, provided for her needs, and later became her husband(2:20; 4:13). Ruth received a blessing because she was in the right place at the right time(2:11-23). Sometimes God uses unexpected encounters to bring unexpected blessings.		[ 룻기 2:11 - 2:20 ] - 찬송가 212 장 여호와께서 네가 행한 일에 보답하시기를 원하며 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서…네게 온전한 상 주시기를 원하노라 — 룻기 2:12 젊고 열정이 있는 드루가 큰 교회에서 처음으로 찬양을 인도하고 있었습니다. 이 교회에 오랫동안 다니고 있는 로이스는 그를 격려해 주고 싶었지만, 드루가 자리를 뜨기 전에 교회 앞자리까지 가는 것이 너무 어려워 보였습니다. 그러나 로이스는 사람들을 헤치고 간신히 앞으로 나가서 드루에게 이렇게 말했습니다. “예배 중에 열심히 찬양하신 것 너무 좋았어요. 주님을 위해 계속 봉사해주세요!” 로이스는 걸어 나오다가 여러 달 동안 보지 못했던 샤론과 우연히 마주쳤습니다. 서로 잠시 이야기를 나눈 후 샤론은 “주님을 위해 봉사해 주셔서 감사해요. 계속 주님께 봉사해 주세요!”라고 말했습니다. 남을 격려하기 위해 앞으로 나왔던 로이스는 이제 자신이 생각지도 못했던 격려를 받는 바로 그 자리에 있게 되었던 것입니다. 룻과 시어머니 나오미는 모압을 떠나 이스라엘로 돌아온 후, 전혀 생각지 못했던 축복을 받게 되었습니다. 그 두 여인은 아무에게도 생계를 의탁할 수 없는 과부들이었기에 룻이 밭에 나가 이삭을 주웠습니다(룻 2:2-3). 그런데 그 밭은 우연히도 나오미의 먼 친척 보아스의 것이었습니다. 그는 룻을 보고 그녀에게 필요한 것을 제공해주었고, 후에 그녀의 남편이 되었습니다(2:20; 4:13). 룻은 적절한 시간에 적절한 장소에 있었기에 축복을 받았던 것입니다(2:11-23). 때때로 하나님은 예기치 못한 만남을 통하여 전혀 예기치 못한 축복을 베풀어 주십니다.

Dear Lord, help me to go out of my way to encourage others—whether or not I receive anything in return. My heart¡¯s desire is to help others along the way to know You. May I be Your hands and feet.

When it comes to helping others, don¡¯t stop at nothing.

Ruth 2:11-20

[11] And Boaz answered and said to her, "It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before.
[12] "The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge."
[13] Then she said, "Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants."
[14] Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, "Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back.
[15] And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her.
[16] "Also let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her."
[17] So she gleaned in the field until evening, and beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.
[18] Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. So she brought out and gave to her what she had kept back after she had been satisfied.
[19] And her mother-in-law said to her, "Where have you gleaned today? And where did you work? Blessed be the one who took notice of you." So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, "The man's name with whom I worked today is Boaz."
[20] Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, "Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!" And Naomi said to her, "This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives."

사랑하는 주님, 제가 되돌려 받는 것에 아무 상관없이
그냥 나아가 다른 사람들을 격려할 수 있게 도와주소서.
다른 사람들이 주님을 알 수 있도록 도와주기를 간절히 원하오니,
제가 주님의 손과 발이 되게 해주소서.

아무런 대가가 없더라도 다른 사람들을 돕는 일을 멈추지 말라.

룻기 2:11-20

[11] 보아스가 그에게 대답하여 이르되 네 남편이 죽은 후로 네가 시어머니에게 행한 모든 것과 네 부모와 고국을 떠나 전에 알지 못하던 백성에게로 온 일이 내게 분명히 알려졌느니라
[12] 여호와께서 네가 행한 일에 보답하시기를 원하며 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 그의 날개 아래에 보호를 받으러 온 네게 온전한 상 주시기를 원하노라 하는지라
[13] 룻이 이르되 내 주여 내가 당신께 은혜 입기를 원하나이다 나는 당신의 하녀 중의 하나와도 같지 못하오나 당신이 이 하녀를 위로하시고 마음을 기쁘게 하는 말씀을 하셨나이다 하니라
[14] 식사할 때에 보아스가 룻에게 이르되 이리로 와서 떡을 먹으며 네 떡 조각을 초에 찍으라 하므로 룻이 곡식 베는 자 곁에 앉으니 그가 볶은 곡식을 주매 룻이 배불리 먹고 남았더라
[15] 룻이 이삭을 주우러 일어날 때에 보아스가 자기 소년들에게 명령하여 이르되 그에게 곡식 단 사이에서 줍게 하고 책망하지 말며
[16] 또 그를 위하여 곡식 다발에서 조금씩 뽑아 버려서 그에게 줍게 하고 꾸짖지 말라 하니라
[17] 룻이 밭에서 저녁까지 줍고 그 주운 것을 떠니 보리가 한 에바쯤 되는지라
[18] 그것을 가지고 성읍에 들어가서 시어머니에게 그 주운 것을 보이고 그가 배불리 먹고 남긴 것을 내어 시어머니에게 드리매
[19] 시어머니가 그에게 이르되 오늘 어디서 주웠느냐 어디서 일을 하였느냐 너를 돌본 자에게 복이 있기를 원하노라 하니 룻이 누구에게서 일했는지를 시어머니에게 알게 하여 이르되 오늘 일하게 한 사람의 이름은 보아스니이다 하는지라
[20] 나오미가 자기 며느리에게 이르되 그가 여호와로부터 복 받기를 원하노라 그가 살아 있는 자와 죽은 자에게 은혜 베풀기를 그치지 아니하도다 하고 나오미가 또 그에게 이르되 그 사람은 우리와 가까우니 우리 기업을 무를 자 중의 하나이니라 하니라
