Answer The Cry		부르짖음에 응답함
[ Isaiah 30:15 - 30:22 ] - hymn 364 [The Lord] will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry. — Isaiah 30:19 When my grandchildren were young, my son took them to see the stage production of The Lion King. As the young lion, Simba, stood over his father, King Mufasa, who had been killed by his evil uncle, little Simba, afraid and alone, cried out, ¡°Help, Help, Help!¡± At that moment, my 3-year-old grandson stood on his chair in the hushed theater and shouted, ¡°Why doesn¡¯t somebody help him?!¡± The Old Testament contains many accounts of God¡¯s people crying out for help. Although their trouble was often self-imposed due to their waywardness, God was still eager to come to their aid. The prophet Isaiah had to deliver a lot of bad news, but in the midst of it he assured the people that ¡°the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion ... How gracious he will be when you cry for help!¡±(Isa.30:18-19 niv). Yet God often looked to His own people to be the answer to that cry for help (see Isa.58:10). Today, people all around us are in need of someone to take action to help them. It is a high privilege to become the hands of God as we respond on His behalf to cries for help. — Joe Stowell		[ 이사야 30:15 - 30:22 ] - 찬송가 364 장 [주님이] 네 부르짖는 소리로 말미암아 네게 은혜를 베푸시되 — 이사야 30:19 손자들이 어렸을 때 아들이 그들을 데리고 〈라이언 킹〉이라는 연극을 보러 갔었습니다. 어린 사자 심바는 사악한 삼촌에 의해 살해된 아버지 무파사 왕 옆에 서서 홀로 두려움에 떨며 “도와주세요! 도와주세요!”라고 울부짖었습니다. 그 순간 세 살 된 손자가 조용한 극장 안에서 의자 위에 올라가 “왜 아무도 안 도와주세요?”라고 소리쳤습니다. 구약에서는 하나님의 사람들이 도움을 구하며 울부짖는 경우를 많이 봅니다. 그들의 고통은 흔히 자신들의 고집 때문에 생긴 것이었지만 하나님은 그래도 그들을 열심히 도와주려 하셨습니다. 이사야 선지자는 많은 나쁜 소식을 전해야 했지만 그 와중에서도 그는 사람들에게 이렇게 확신시켜 주었습니다. “그러나 여호와께서 기다리시나니 이는 너희에게 은혜를 베풀려 하심이요 일어나시리니 이는 너희를 긍휼히 여기려 하심이라…그가 네 부르짖는 소리로 말미암아 네게 은혜를 베푸시되 그가 들으실 때에 네게 응답하시리라”(사 30:18-19). 하지만 많은 경우에 하나님은 도움을 구하는 그 울부짖음에 하나님의 백성들이 직접 응답해주기를 원하셨습니다(사 58:10 참조). 오늘날 우리 주변의 많은 사람들이 도움의 손길을 필요로 합니다. 도와달라고 부르짖는 사람들에게 하나님을 대신하여 우리가 하나님의 손길이 되어 도와주는 것은 우리의 커다란 특권입니다.

Lord, remind me that You desire to show
compassion to those in need and that You often call
on us to be the instruments of that compassion. Give
me an opportunity today to show Your love to at least one person in need.

Show that God cares by lending a helping hand.

Isaiah 30:15-22

[15] For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not,
[16] And you said, "No, for we will flee on horses"--Therefore you shall flee! And, "We will ride on swift horses"--Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift!
[17] One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, At the threat of five you shall flee, Till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain And as a banner on a hill.
[18] Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
[19] For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; You shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; When He hears it, He will answer you.
[20] And though the Lord gives you The bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, But your eyes shall see your teachers.
[21] Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
[22] You will also defile the covering of your graven images of silver, And the ornament of your molded images of gold. You will throw them away as an unclean thing; You will say to them, "Get away!"

주님, 주님은 도움이 필요한 사람들을 불쌍히 여기시며,
우리로 그 도움의 손길이 되라고 우리를 부르신다는 것을
기억하게 하소서. 오늘 우리의 도움이 필요한 사람에게
주님의 사랑을 보여줄 수 있는 기회를 적어도 한 번은 허락해 주소서.

도움의 손길을 내밀어 하나님이 그들을 돌보신다는 것을 보여주라.

이사야 30:15-22

[15] 주 여호와 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이가 이같이 말씀하시되 너희가 돌이켜 조용히 있어야 구원을 얻을 것이요 잠잠하고 신뢰하여야 힘을 얻을 것이거늘 너희가 원하지 아니하고
[16] 이르기를 아니라 우리가 말 타고 도망하리라 하였으므로 너희가 도망할 것이요 또 이르기를 우리가 빠른 짐승을 타리라 하였으므로 너희를 쫓는 자들이 빠르리니
[17] 한 사람이 꾸짖은즉 천 사람이 도망하겠고 다섯이 꾸짖은즉 너희가 다 도망하고 너희 남은 자는 겨우 산 꼭대기의 깃대 같겠고 산마루 위의 기치 같으리라 하셨느니라
[18] 그러나 여호와께서 기다리시나니 이는 너희에게 은혜를 베풀려 하심이요 일어나시리니 이는 너희를 긍휼히 여기려 하심이라 대저 여호와는 정의의 하나님이심이라 그를 기다리는 자마다 복이 있도다
[19] 시온에 거주하며 예루살렘에 거주하는 백성아 너는 다시 통곡하지 아니할 것이라 그가 네 부르짖는 소리로 말미암아 네게 은혜를 베푸시되 그가 들으실 때에 네게 응답하시리라
[20] 주께서 너희에게 환난의 떡과 고생의 물을 주시나 네 스승은 다시 숨기지 아니하시리니 네 눈이 네 스승을 볼 것이며
[21] 너희가 오른쪽으로 치우치든지 왼쪽으로 치우치든지 네 뒤에서 말소리가 네 귀에 들려 이르기를 이것이 바른 길이니 너희는 이리로 가라 할 것이며
[22] 또 너희가 너희 조각한 우상에 입힌 은과 부어 만든 우상에 올린 금을 더럽게 하여 불결한 물건을 던짐 같이 던지며 이르기를 나가라 하리라
