Where Can I Help?		어디서 도울 수 있을까?
[ Galatians 6:1 - 6:10 ] - hymn 320 As we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. — Galatians 6:10 Last winter our city was hit by an ice storm. Hundreds of ice-heavy tree limbs cut into power lines, leaving thousands of homes and businesses without electrical power for days. Our family kept basic energy coming into the house through a generator, but we were still unable to cook meals. As we set out to find a place to eat, we drove for miles past closed businesses. We finally found a breakfast restaurant that had not lost power, but it was packed with hungry customers who were in the same fix as we were. When a woman came over to take our order for food, she said, ¡°I¡¯m not really an employee of this restaurant. Our church group was having breakfast here, and we saw how the staff was overwhelmed with so many customers who came in. We told the restaurant management we would be willing to help by waiting on tables if it would ease the burden and help people to get fed.¡± Her willingness to serve reminded me of Paul¡¯s words: ¡°As we have opportunity, let us do good to all¡±(Gal.6:10). In light of the many needs around us, I wonder what could happen if we all asked God to show us opportunities to serve Him and help others today. — Dennis Fisher		[ 갈라디아서 6:1 - 6:10 ] - 찬송가 320 장 우리는 기회 있는 대로 모든 이에게 착한 일을 하되 더욱 믿음의 가정들에게 할지니라 — 갈라디아서 6:10 지난 겨울 한파가 우리 도시를 강타했습니다. 얼음으로 무거워진 수많은 나뭇가지들이 전선을 끊어 수많은 가정집과 사업장에 며칠 동안 전기가 공급되지 않았습니다. 우리는 집에서 발전기를 돌려 기본적인 전기를 사용할 수 있었지만 음식을 요리할 수는 없었습니다. 음식을 사먹을 장소를 찾아 수 킬로미터를 운전하는 동안 문을 닫은 가게들만 스쳐 지나갔습니다. 마침내 전기가 끊기지 않았던 한 식당을 발견했는데, 그곳은 우리와 같은 처지의 배고픈 손님들로 가득 차 있었습니다. 한 여성이 우리의 음식을 주문 받으러 와서 이렇게 말했습니다. “저는 사실 이 식당의 종업원이 아니에요. 교회 성도들과 여기서 아침식사를 하고 있었는데 밀어닥친 손님들로 인해 종업원들이 너무 바빠 쩔쩔매는 거예요. 그래서 우리가 손님들의 식사 시중을 들어주는 것이 종업원과 손님들에게 도움이 된다면, 기꺼이 도와줄 수 있다고 매니저에게 말했답니다.” 기꺼이 도우려는 그녀의 마음은 “기회 있는 대로 모든 이에게 착한 일을 하라”(갈 6:10)라는 바울의 말을 떠올려주었습니다. 우리 주위에 많은 도움이 필요하다는 것을 생각해볼 때, 우리가 모두 오늘 하나님을 섬기고 이웃들을 도울 수 있는 기회를 보여 달라고 하나님께 간구한다면 과연 어떤 일이 일어날까 궁금해집니다.

Dear Lord, show us where and how we might
serve others and ease their burdens. Give us
hearts of love and compassion that reflect
Your love. Then help us to take action.

We follow the example of Christ when we serve people in need.

Galatians 6:1-10

[1] Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
[2] Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
[3] For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
[4] But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
[5] For each one shall bear his own load.
[6] Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
[7] Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
[8] For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
[9] And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
[10] Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

사랑하는 주님, 우리가 어디서 어떻게 다른 사람들을 섬길 수 있고
그들의 짐을 덜어줄 수 있는지 보여주소서.
주님의 사랑을 나타내는 사랑과 긍휼의 마음을 우리에게 주셔서
우리가 실천할 수 있게 도와주소서.

어려움에 처한 사람을 섬길 때,
우리는 그리스도의 본을 따르는 것이다.

갈라디아서 6:1-10

[1] 형제들아 사람이 만일 무슨 범죄한 일이 드러나거든 신령한 너희는 온유한 심령으로 그러한 자를 바로잡고 너 자신을 살펴보아 너도 시험을 받을까 두려워하라
[2] 너희가 짐을 서로 지라 그리하여 그리스도의 법을 성취하라
[3] 만일 누가 아무 것도 되지 못하고 된 줄로 생각하면 스스로 속임이라
[4] 각각 자기의 일을 살피라 그리하면 자랑할 것이 자기에게는 있어도 남에게는 있지 아니하리니
[5] 각각 자기의 짐을 질 것이라
[6] 가르침을 받는 자는 말씀을 가르치는 자와 모든 좋은 것을 함께 하라
[7] 스스로 속이지 말라 하나님은 업신여김을 받지 아니하시나니 사람이 무엇으로 심든지 그대로 거두리라
[8] 자기의 육체를 위하여 심는 자는 육체로부터 썩어질 것을 거두고 성령을 위하여 심는 자는 성령으로부터 영생을 거두리라
[9] 우리가 선을 행하되 낙심하지 말지니 포기하지 아니하면 때가 이르매 거두리라
[10] 그러므로 우리는 기회 있는 대로 모든 이에게 착한 일을 하되 더욱 믿음의 가정들에게 할지니라
