Better Or Worse?		더 좋아질까 아니면 더 나빠질까?
[ 2 Timothy 3:1 - 3:5 ] - hymn 552 You must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of. — 2 Timothy 3:14 At the beginning of each new year, experts give their predictions about the economy, politics, weather, and a host of other topics. Will there be war or peace? Poverty or prosperity? Progress or stagnation? People everywhere are hoping that this year will be better than last, but no one knows what will happen. There is, however, something we can be certain about. A guest speaker at my church suggested that when we ask if the world will get better or worse, the answer is ¡°Yes, to both!¡± Paul told Timothy, ¡°In the last days perilous times will come; ... evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them¡±(2 Tim.3:1,13-14). The inspired Word of God instructs, corrects, and encourages us as we follow God¡¯s path (vv.16-17). J. B. Phillips described the Scriptures as our ¡°comprehensive equipment¡± that prepares us fully for all branches of God¡¯s work. As the spiritual darkness of our world grows deeper, the light of Christ shines more brightly through all those who know and love Him. Heavenly Father, the trouble in this world can
divert our eyes from You. Thank You for Your Word
that helps us stay focused. May we find our delight
in Your love and share it with others today.

The powers of evil around you are no match for the power of Jesus within you.

2 Timothy 3:1-5,10-17

[1] But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
[2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
[4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
[5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

[10] But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
[11] persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra--what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
[12] Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
[13] But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
[14] But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
[15] and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
[16] All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
[17] that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

하나님 아버지, 이 세상의 고난 때문에 우리 눈이 주님에게서
벗어날 수도 있지만, 말씀을 통해 우리가 계속 주님께 초점을
맞추도록 도와주시니 감사합니다. 오늘도 주님의 사랑 안에서
기뻐하며 그 사랑을 다른 사람들과 나누게 하소서.

우리 주위에 있는 악의 힘은
우리 안에 있는 예수님의 힘과 상대도 되지 않는다.

디모데후서 3:1-5,10-17

[1] 너는 이것을 알라 말세에 고통하는 때가 이르러
[2] 사람들이 자기를 사랑하며 돈을 사랑하며 자랑하며 교만하며 비방하며 부모를 거역하며 감사하지 아니하며 거룩하지 아니하며
[3] 무정하며 원통함을 풀지 아니하며 모함하며 절제하지 못하며 사나우며 선한 것을 좋아하지 아니하며
[4] 배신하며 조급하며 자만하며 쾌락을 사랑하기를 하나님 사랑하는 것보다 더하며
[5] 경건의 모양은 있으나 경건의 능력은 부인하니 이같은 자들에게서 네가 돌아서라

[10] 나의 교훈과 행실과 의향과 믿음과 오래 참음과 사랑과 인내와
[11] 박해를 받음과 고난과 또한 안디옥과 이고니온과 루스드라에서 당한 일과 어떠한 박해를 받은 것을 네가 과연 보고 알았거니와 주께서 이 모든 것 가운데서 나를 건지셨느니라
[12] 무릇 그리스도 예수 안에서 경건하게 살고자 하는 자는 박해를 받으리라
[13] 악한 사람들과 속이는 자들은 더욱 악하여져서 속이기도 하고 속기도 하나니
[14] 그러나 너는 배우고 확신한 일에 거하라 너는 네가 누구에게서 배운 것을 알며
[15] 또 어려서부터 성경을 알았나니 성경은 능히 너로 하여금 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음으로 말미암아 구원에 이르는 지혜가 있게 하느니라
[16] 모든 성경은 하나님의 감동으로 된 것으로 교훈과 책망과 바르게 함과 의로 교육하기에 유익하니
[17] 이는 하나님의 사람으로 온전하게 하며 모든 선한 일을 행할 능력을 갖추게 하려 함이라
