Stones Cry Out		돌들이 외치리라
[ Luke 19:28 - 19:40 ] - hymn 115 I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out. — Luke 19:40 Every year it seems that Christmas becomes more and more commercialized. Even in nations where the majority of people call themselves ¡°Christian,¡±the season has become more about shopping than worshiping. The pressure to buy gifts and plan elaborate parties makes it increasingly difficult to stay focused on the real meaning of the holiday¦¡the birth of Jesus, God¡¯s only Son, the Savior of the world. But every holiday I also hear the gospel coming from surprising places¦¡the very places that so commercialize Christmas¦¡shopping malls. When I hear ¡°Joy to the World! The Lord is come; let earth receive her King¡±ringing from public address systems, I think of the words Jesus said to the Pharisees who told Him to silence the crowds who were praising Him. ¡°If they keep quiet,¡±Jesus said, ¡°the stones will cry out¡±(Luke 19:40 NIV). At Christmas we hear stones cry out. Even people spiritually dead sing carols written by Christians long dead, reminding us that no matter how hard people try to squelch the real message of Christmas, they will never succeed. Despite the commercialism that threatens to muddle the message of Christ¡¯s birth, God will make His good news known as ¡°far as the curse is found.¡±— Julie Ackerman Link		[ 누가복음 19:28 - 19:40 ] - 찬송가 115 장 내가 너희에게 말하노니 만일 이 사람들이 침묵하면 돌들이 소리 지르리라 — 누가복음 19:40 성탄절이 매년 점점 더 상업화가 되어가는 것 같습니다. 국민 대다수가 ‘그리스도인’이라고 자처하는 나라들마저도 성탄절은 예배보다는 쇼핑에 더 관심을 갖게 되어 버렸습니다. 선물을 사고 정성스런 파티를 준비해야 한다는 부담감 때문에, 하나님의 독생자요 구세주이신 예수님의 탄생이라는 성탄절의 참된 의미에 초점을 맞추기가 갈수록 더 힘들어집니다. 그러나 또한 성탄절 때마다 예기치 않은 곳에서 흘러나오는 복음을 듣게 됩니다. 그곳은 바로 성탄절을 그렇게 상업화시키고 있는 쇼핑몰입니다. “기쁘다 구주 오셨네. 만 백성 맞으라”라는 소리를 음향시스템을 통해 크게 들을 때 나는 예수님이 바리새인들에게 하신 말씀이 생각납니다. 바리새인들은 주님에게 주님을 찬양하는 군중들을 조용히 시키라고 했지만, 예수님은 “이 사람들이 침묵하면 돌들이 소리 지르리라”(눅 19:40)라고 말씀하셨던 것입니다. 성탄절에 우리는 돌들이 외치는 소리를 듣습니다. 영적으로 죽어있는 사람들조차도 오래전에 작고한 그리스도인들이 쓴 성탄절 노래들을 부르는 것은, 아무리 사람들이 성탄절의 진정한 메시지를 퇴색시키려 해도 결코 그렇게 하지 못할 것이라는 것을 보여줍니다. 상업주의가 그리스도 탄생의 메시지를 아무리 망쳐놓으려 해도, 하나님은 “저주가 있는 곳이라면”그 어디나 하나님의 복음을 알게 하실 것입니다.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow

Keeping Christ out of Christmas
is as futile as holding back the ocean¡¯s tide.

Luke 19:28-40

[28] When He had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
[29] And it came to pass, when He came near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples,
[30] saying, "Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
[31] "And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you loosing it?' thus you shall say to him, 'Because the Lord has need of it.'"
[32] So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them.
[33] But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, "Why are you loosing the colt?"
[34] And they said, "The Lord has need of him."
[35] Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.
[36] And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
[37] Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen,
[38] saying: "'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
[39] And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples."
[40] But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out."

온 세상 죄를 사하러
주 예수 오셨네
죄와 슬픔 몰아내고
다 구원하시네

성탄절에서 그리스도를 제거하려는 것은
바다의 조수를 막는 것과 같이 헛된 일이다.

누가복음 19:28-40

[28] 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 예루살렘을 향하여 앞서서 가시더라
[29] 감람원이라 불리는 산쪽에 있는 벳바게와 베다니에 가까이 가셨을 때에 제자 중 둘을 보내시며
[30] 이르시되 너희는 맞은편 마을로 가라 그리로 들어가면 아직 아무도 타 보지 않은 나귀 새끼가 매여 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 끌고 오라
[31] 만일 누가 너희에게 어찌하여 푸느냐 묻거든 말하기를 주가 쓰시겠다 하라 하시매
[32] 보내심을 받은 자들이 가서 그 말씀하신 대로 만난지라
[33] 나귀 새끼를 풀 때에 그 임자들이 이르되 어찌하여 나귀 새끼를 푸느냐
[34] 대답하되 주께서 쓰시겠다 하고
[35] 그것을 예수께로 끌고 와서 자기들의 겉옷을 나귀 새끼 위에 걸쳐 놓고 예수를 태우니
[36] 가실 때에 그들이 자기의 겉옷을 길에 펴더라
[37] 이미 감람 산 내리막길에 가까이 오시매 제자의 온 무리가 자기들이 본 바 모든 능한 일로 인하여 기뻐하며 큰 소리로 하나님을 찬양하여
[38] 이르되 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 왕이여 하늘에는 평화요 가장 높은 곳에는 영광이로다 하니
[39] 무리 중 어떤 바리새인들이 말하되 선생이여 당신의 제자들을 책망하소서 하거늘
[40] 대답하여 이르시되 내가 너희에게 말하노니 만일 이 사람들이 침묵하면 돌들이 소리 지르리라 하시니라
