The Right Foundation		제대로 된 기초
[ Matthew 7:24 - 7:29 ] - hymn 204 Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. — Matthew 7:24 ¡°I¡¯ve got bad news for you,¡± said the builder, who was renovating an old house I had inherited. ¡°When we started to convert the back half of the garage for your office, we found that the walls had almost no foundation. We will have to demolish them, dig proper foundations, and start again.¡± ¡°Do you have to do that?¡± I pleaded, silently calculating the extra cost. ¡°Can¡¯t you just patch it up?¡± But the builder was adamant. ¡°Unless we go down to the proper depth, the building inspector won¡¯t approve it. The right foundation is vital.¡± The right foundation makes the difference between something that lasts and something temporary. Jesus knew that though foundations are invisible, they are vitally important to the strength and stability of the house (Matt.7:24-25), especially when it is battered by the elements. He also knew the hearts of His listeners. They would be tempted to take the easy way, find shortcuts, or do things by halves to gain their objectives. Other foundations may be quicker and easier. Building our lives on the right foundation is hard work, but God¡¯s truth is the only bedrock worth building on. When the storms of life hit, houses built on and held together by Him stand firm. — Marion Stroud		[ 마태복음 7:24 - 7:29 ] - 찬송가 204 장 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니 — 마태복음 7:24 상속 받은 오래된 집을 보수하던 건축업자가 내게 “좋지 못한 소식이 있습니다.”라고 말했습니다. “차고 뒤쪽 반을 사무실로 바꾸려고 시작하고 보니 벽 밑에 기초가 거의 없는 것을 발견했습니다. 벽을 헐고 새로 기초를 제대로 깐 후에 다시 시작해야겠습니다.” 나는 속으로 추가비용을 계산하면서 “꼭 그렇게 해야만 하나요?”하고 사정하며 물었습니다. “그냥 적당히 고치면 안 될까요?”하지만 건축업자는 강경했습니다. “적당한 깊이까지 파지 않으면 건물조사관의 허가가 나지 않을 것입니다. 기초를 제대로 다지는 게 아주 중요합니다.” 제대로 된 기초는 오래 지탱하는 것과 일시적인 것의 차이를 만들어냅니다. 예수님은 비록 기초가 눈에 보이지는 않지만 집의 내구력과 안정성에 매우 중요하다는 것을 아셨습니다(마 7:24-25). 특히 그 집이 폭풍우에 시달릴 때는 말입니다. 주님은 또한 말씀을 듣는 자들의 마음도 아셨습니다. 그들은 목표 달성을 위해 쉬운 길을 택하고, 지름길을 찾고, 또 적당히 해치우려는 유혹을 받을 것이었습니다. 더 빠르고 더 쉽게 다질 수 있는 다른 기초들도 있을 것입니다. 우리 삶을 제대로 된 기초 위에 세우는 일은 쉬운 일이 아닙니다. 그렇다면 우리 삶을 그 위에 세울만한 가치가 있는 기반은 하나님의 진리 밖에 없습니다. 인생의 폭풍이 몰아칠 때 주님의 기초 위에 세워지고 그분이 붙드시는 집만이 견고하게 설 것입니다.

Father, the winds of life¡¯s storms can be
powerful and threatening. Thank You for the
foundation of the truth of Your faithfulness. Help
me to rely on Your strength in my storms.

The wise man builds his house upon the Rock.

Matthew 7:24–29

[24] "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
[25] "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
[26] "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
[27] "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
[28] And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,
[29] for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

하나님 아버지, 인생의 폭풍이 거세게 위협합니다.
주님의 신실하신 진리의 반석이 얼마나 감사한지요.
제 인생의 폭풍 가운데서
주님의 힘을 의지하도록 도와주소서.

지혜로운 자는 반석이신 예수님 위에 집을 짓는다.

마태복음 7:24–29

[24] 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니
[25] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치되 무너지지 아니하나니 이는 주추를 반석 위에 놓은 까닭이요
[26] 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니
[27] 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라
[28] 예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시매 무리들이 그의 가르치심에 놀라니
[29] 이는 그 가르치시는 것이 권위 있는 자와 같고 그들의 서기관들과 같지 아니함일러라
