A Forever Hello		영원한 만남인사
[ 2 Corinthians 4:16 - 5:8 ] - hymn 489 He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit. — 2 Corinthians 5:5 After a week¡¯s vacation with her daughter and 4-month-old grandson, Oliver, Kathy had to say goodbye until she could see them again. She wrote to me saying, ¡°Sweet reunions like we had make my heart long for heaven. There, we won¡¯t have to try to capture memories in our mind. There, we won¡¯t have to pray for the time to go slowly and the days to last long. There, our hello will never turn into goodbye. Heaven will be a ¡®forever hello,¡¯ and I can¡¯t wait.¡± As a first-time grandma, she wants to be with her grandson Oliver as much as possible! She¡¯s thankful for any time she can be with him and for the hope of heaven—where the wonderful moments will never end. Our good days do seem too short, and our difficult days far too long. But both kinds of days cause us to long for even better days ahead. The apostle Paul said that he and the Corinthians longed to be ¡°clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life¡±(2 Cor.5:4 niv). Although the Lord is with us in this life, we cannot see Him face to face. Now we live by faith, not by sight (v.7). God made us for the very purpose of being near to Him always (v.5). Heaven will be a forever hello. — Anne Cetas		[ 고린도후서 4:16 - 5:8 ] - 찬송가 489 장 곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라 — 고린도후서 5:5 캐티는 그녀의 딸과 4개월 된 손자 올리버와 함께 일주일간 휴가를 보낸 후, 그들을 다시 볼 수 있을 때까지 작별인사를 해야 했습니다. 그녀는 이렇게 나에게 편지를 썼습니다. “우리에게 있었던 것과 같은 즐거운 재회는 내게 마음으로부터 천국을 원하게 만들어요. 거기서는 우리가 마음속에 추억을 간직하려고 애쓸 필요가 없겠지요. 거기서는 시간이 천천히 가게 해달라거나 하루가 길게 이어지게 해달라고 기도할 필요도 없을 거고요. 거기서는 우리의 만남인사가 결코 작별인사로 끝나지 않을 것이고, 천국에서는 ‘영원한 만남인사’만 있겠지요. 나는 기다릴 수가 없어요.”처음으로 할머니가 된 캐티는 손자 올리버와 가능한 한 많은 시간을 같이 있고 싶어 합니다. 그녀는 손자와 함께 하는 시간이 다 감사하고, 그런 멋진 순간들이 영원히 끝나지 않을 천국에의 소망이 있어 감사하고 있습니다. 우리의 행복한 날은 아주 짧고 우리의 힘든 날들은 너무 길게 느껴집니다. 하지만 어느 쪽이든 이런 날들 때문에 우리는 앞으로 다가올 더 좋은 날을 원하게 됩니다. 바울사도는 그와 고린도교인들에게 “이 장막에 있는 우리가…오히려 덧입고자 함이니 죽을 것이 생명에 삼킨 바 되게 하려 함이라”(고후 5:4)라고 말했습니다. 비록 주님이 이 세상에서 우리와 함께 하시지만 우리는 주님을 얼굴로 마주 대할 수는 없습니다. 지금 우리는 보는 것으로 사는 것이 아니라 믿음으로 살고 있습니다(7절). 하나님은 그분의 목적대로 우리를 그분과 늘 가까이 있게 하십니다(5절). 천국에는 영원한 만남인사만 있을 것입니다.

Now we see Jesus in the Bible, but then, face to face.

2 Corinthians 4:16–5:8

[16] Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
[18] while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
[5:1] For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
[2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
[3] if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.
[4] For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
[5] Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
[6] So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
[7] For we walk by faith, not by sight.
[8] We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 하니 오, 더 없이 행복한 순간이여!
얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 하니 이제 보고 알게 되겠네
나를 그렇게 사랑하시는 예수 그리스도,
나의 구주를 얼굴과 얼굴을 마주하며 바라보겠네!

지금은 성경에서 예수님을 보지만,
그 날에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 대하며 보게 될 것이다.

고린도후서 4:16–5:8

[16] 그러므로 우리가 낙심하지 아니하노니 우리의 겉사람은 낡아지나 우리의 속사람은 날로 새로워지도다
[17] 우리가 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니
[18] 우리가 주목하는 것은 보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니 보이는 것은 잠깐이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이라
[5:1] 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막 집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 집 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아니요 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 줄 아느니라
[2] 참으로 우리가 여기 있어 탄식하며 하늘로부터 오는 우리 처소로 덧입기를 간절히 사모하노라
[3] 이렇게 입음은 우리가 벗은 자들로 발견되지 않으려 함이라
[4] 참으로 이 장막에 있는 우리가 짐진 것 같이 탄식하는 것은 벗고자 함이 아니요 오히려 덧입고자 함이니 죽을 것이 생명에 삼킨 바 되게 하려 함이라
[5] 곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라
[6] 그러므로 우리가 항상 담대하여 몸으로 있을 때에는 주와 따로 있는 줄을 아노니
[7] 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 행하지 아니함이로라
[8] 우리가 담대하여 원하는 바는 차라리 몸을 떠나 주와 함께 있는 그것이라
