[ Luke 6:27 - 6:37 ] - hymn 294 Forgive, and you will be forgiven. — Luke 6:37 If you¡¯re like me, you seldom read the full text of contracts for online services before you agree to them. They go on for pages, and most of the legal jargon makes no sense to ordinary people like me. I was quite surprised, therefore, when a friend from Africa made me aware of this one-of-a-kind service agreement for online software. Instead of a wordy license telling people how not to use it, the developer offers a simple blessing urging people to use it for good: May you do good and not evil. May you find forgiveness for yourself and forgive others. May you share freely, never taking more than you give. At first I thought, Wow. Imagine if more terms of service agreements were written as blessings instead of legal documents. Then I thought, The agreement Jesus makes with us is like that. He offers us forgiveness of sin, peace with God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. In return, all He asks is that we do good (Gal. 6:10), forgive as we¡¯ve been forgiven (Luke 6:37), and love others as He loves us (John 13:34). The beauty of Jesus¡¯ agreement with us is that even though we fail to live up to the terms, we still receive the blessing. — Julie Ackerman Link		[ 누가복음 6:27 - 6:37 ] - 찬송가 294 장 용서하라 그리하면 너희가 용서를 받을 것이요 - 누가복음 6:37 만일 여러분이 나와 비슷하시다면, 온라인 서비스 이용약관에 동의하기에 앞서 계약서 전문을 다 읽는 일은 좀처럼 없을 것입니다. 분량도 여러 장일뿐더러, 그 속에 등장하는 법률용어들은 나 같은 보통 사람들에겐 도저히 이해할 수 없는 말들입니다. 그래서 아프리카에 있는 친구가 아주 특이한 서비스 계약을 하는 온라인 소프트웨어가 있다는 것을 알려줬을 때 저는 적잖이 놀랐습니다. 소프트웨어의 개발업자는 이러이러하게 사용하면 안 된다는 장황한 라이센스 대신에, 그것을 잘 사용하라고 권하면서 간단한 축복의 말을 다음과 같이 하고 있습니다. 악을 피하고 선을 행하시기를 바랍니다. 자신을 용서하고 다른 사람도 용서하시기를 바랍니다. 그리고 준 것보다 더 취하지 말고 너그럽게 나누시기를 바랍니다. 처음에 나는 정말 대단하다는 생각이 들었습니다. 많은 서비스 계약조건들이 법적인 문서가 아닌 축복의 말로 쓰여 있는 것을 상상해보십시오. 그러고 나니 예수님이 우리와 맺은 계약도 그와 같은 것이라는 생각이 들었습니다. 예수님은 우리에게 죄의 용서와 하나님과의 화목, 그리고 성령의 임재하심을 제공해주십니다. 그 대가로 주님이 바라시는 것은 단지 우리가 선을 행하고(갈 6:10), 우리가 용서 받은 것과 같이 용서하며(눅 6:37), 주님이 우리를 사랑하신 것과 같이 다른 사람들을 사랑하라는 것(요 13:34)뿐입니다. 예수님이 우리와 맺은 계약이 대단한 것은 비록 우리가 계약 조건 대로 다 살지 못한다 하더라도 여전히 축복을 받는다는 것입니다.

Luke 6:27-37

[27] "But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
[28] "bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
[29] "To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.
[30] "Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
[31] "And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
[32] "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
[33] "And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
[34] "And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.
[35] "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
[36] "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
[37] "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

[30] 네게 구하는 자에게 주며 네 것을 가져가는 자에게 다시 달라 하지 말며
[31] 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로 너희도 남을 대접하라
[32] 너희가 만일 너희를 사랑하는 자만을 사랑하면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이냐 죄인들도 사랑하는 자는 사랑하느니라
[33] 너희가 만일 선대하는 자만을 선대하면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이냐 죄인들도 이렇게 하느니라
[34] 너희가 받기를 바라고 사람들에게 꾸어 주면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이냐 죄인들도 그만큼 받고자 하여 죄인에게 꾸어 주느니라
[35] 오직 너희는 원수를 사랑하고 선대하며 아무 것도 바라지 말고 꾸어 주라 그리하면 너희 상이 클 것이요 또 지극히 높으신 이의 아들이 되리니 그는 은혜를 모르는 자와 악한 자에게도 인자하시니라
[36] 너희 아버지의 자비로우심 같이 너희도 자비로운 자가 되라
[37] 비판하지 말라 그리하면 너희가 비판을 받지 않을 것이요 정죄하지 말라 그리하면 너희가 정죄를 받지 않을 것이요 용서하라 그리하면 너희가 용서를 받을 것이요
