[ Psalms 118:1 - 118:14 ] - hymn 66 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. — Psalm 118:1 Sometimes when we face times of trouble, we may get spiritual amnesia and forget the grace of God. But a good way of reestablishing a thankful heart is to set aside undistracted time and deliberately remember God¡¯s past provisions for us and give thanks. When the children of Israel found themselves in a barren, hot desert, they developed memory loss about the grace of God. They began to wish they were back in Egypt, enjoying all its foods (Ex. 16:2-3) and later complained about their water supply (17:2). They had forgotten the mighty acts of God in their deliverance and how He had showered them with wealth (12:36). They were dwelling on their current circumstances and forgetting God¡¯s gracious past provision. The psalmist challenges us: ¡°Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever¡±(Ps.118:1). The word mercy means ¡°steadfast love.¡± It refers to God¡¯s faithfulness. He has promised to be present always to care for His children. By remembering specific ways God has provided for us in the past, we can change our perspective for the better. God¡¯s steadfast love endures forever! — Dennis Fisher		[ 시편 118:1 - 118:14 ] - 찬송가 66 장 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그의 인자하심이 영원함이로다 - 시편 118:1 때때로 힘든 시기를 맞이하면 우리는 영적 기억상실증에 걸려 하나님의 은혜를 잊어버리기도 합니다. 하지만 감사의 마음을 다시 회복하는 한 가지 좋은 방법은, 방해받지 않는 시간을 따로 떼어놓고 하나님이 이제껏 우리에게 베풀어주신 것을 곰곰이 생각해보고 감사를 드리는 것입니다. 이스라엘백성들이 황량하고 뜨거운 사막에 있게 되었을 때 그들은 하나님의 은혜에 대한 기억을 망각해버렸습니다. 그들은 먼저 다시 애굽으로 돌아가 온갖 음식을 먹고 싶다고 했고(출 16:2-3), 나중에는 마실 물이 없다고 불평했습니다(17:2). 그들은 자신들을 구원하시려고 하나님이 행하신 위대한 일들과, 하나님이 어떻게 그들로 큰 재물을 얻게 하셨는지를 잊어버렸습니다(12:36). 그들은 현재의 상황에만 골몰한 나머지 하나님이 과거에 은혜로이 베푸신 것은 잊어버린 것입니다. 시편기자는 이렇게 우리의 주의를 환기시킵니다. “여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그의 인자하심이 영원함이로다”(시 118:1). ‘인자’라는 단어는 “변함없는 사랑”을 의미합니다. 그것은 하나님의 신실하심을 가리킵니다. 하나님은 당신의 자녀들을 보살피기 위해 언제나 함께 계시겠다고 약속하셨습니다. 하나님이 과거에 어떻게 우리에게 베풀어주셨는가를 세세히 기억함으로써 우리는 우리의 관점을 보다 더 긍정적으로 바꿀 수 있습니다. 하나님의 변함없는 사랑은 영원합니다!

Remembering God¡¯s provision for yesterday gives hope and strength for today.

Psalm 118:1-14

[1] Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
[2] Let Israel now say, "His mercy endures forever."
[3] Let the house of Aaron now say, "His mercy endures forever."
[4] Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His mercy endures forever."
[5] I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.
[6] The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
[7] The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
[8] It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
[9] It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.
[10] All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
[11] They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
[12] They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
[13] You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the LORD helped me.
[14] The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.

매일 매일 주님을 섬기면
주님만의 방식대로 힘을 주시네
걱정도 두려워할 필요도 없네
우리 하나님은 늘 가까이 계시네

과거에 하나님께서 베푸신 것을 기억함으로써
오늘 희망과 힘을 가질 수 있다.

시편 118:1-14

[1] 여호와께 감사하라 그는 선하시며 그의 인자하심이 영원함이로다
[2] 이제 이스라엘은 말하기를 그의 인자하심이 영원하다 할지로다
[3] 이제 아론의 집은 말하기를 그의 인자하심이 영원하다 할지로다
[4] 이제 여호와를 경외하는 자는 말하기를 그의 인자하심이 영원하다 할지로다
[5] 내가 고통 중에 여호와께 부르짖었더니 여호와께서 응답하시고 나를 넓은 곳에 세우셨도다
[6] 여호와는 내 편이시라 내가 두려워하지 아니하리니 사람이 내게 어찌할까
[7] 여호와께서 내 편이 되사 나를 돕는 자들 중에 계시니 그러므로 나를 미워하는 자들에게 보응하시는 것을 내가 보리로다
[8] 여호와께 피하는 것이 사람을 신뢰하는 것보다 나으며
[9] 여호와께 피하는 것이 고관들을 신뢰하는 것보다 낫도다
[10] 뭇 나라가 나를 에워쌌으니 내가 여호와의 이름으로 그들을 끊으리로다
[11] 그들이 나를 에워싸고 에워쌌으니 내가 여호와의 이름으로 그들을 끊으리로다
[12] 그들이 벌들처럼 나를 에워쌌으나 가시덤불의 불 같이 타 없어졌나니 내가 여호와의 이름으로 그들을 끊으리로다
[13] 너는 나를 밀쳐 넘어뜨리려 하였으나 여호와께서는 나를 도우셨도다
[14] 여호와는 나의 능력과 찬송이시요 또 나의 구원이 되셨도다
