[ Numbers 9:15 - 9:23 ] - hymn 449 At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed. — Numbers 9:23 At a dog show near my home, I watched a Cardigan Welsh corgi named Trevor perform. At his master¡¯s command, he ran several yards away and immediately returned, he jumped fences, and he identified objects using his sense of smell. After finishing each exercise, he sat down at his master¡¯s feet and waited for more instructions. Trevor¡¯s careful attention to his master¡¯s instruction reminded me of the devotion God desired from His people as they followed Him through the wilderness. God led in a unique way. His presence appeared as a cloud. If the cloud ascended, He wanted His people to move to another area. If the cloud descended, they were to stay put. ¡°At the command of the Lord they remained encamped, and at the command of the Lord they journeyed¡±(Num.9:23). The Israelites followed this practice day or night, regardless of how long they had to remain in one place. God wasn¡¯t simply testing the Israelites; He was leading them to the Promised Land (10:29). He wanted to take them to a better place. So it is with us when God asks us to follow Him. He wants to lead us to a place of closer fellowship with Himself. His Word assures us that He is loving and faithful in leading those who humbly follow Him. — Jennifer Benson Schuldt		[ 민수기 9:15 - 9:23 ] - 찬송가 449 장 그들이 여호와의 명령을 따라 진을 치며 여호와의 명령을 따라 행진하고 - 민수기 9:23 나는 집 근처에서 열린 애견쇼에서 트레버라는 카디건 웰쉬 코기종 개의 묘기를 구경했습니다. 그 개는 주인의 명령에 따라 몇 미터를 뛰어 갔다 오기도 하고, 울타리를 뛰어 넘고, 후각으로 사물을 찾아내기도 했습니다. 각각의 묘기를 마칠 때마다 주인의 발 앞에 앉아 다음 지시를 기다렸습니다. 주인의 지시에 집중하는 트레버의 모습을 보며, 하나님을 따라 광야를 지나던 이스라엘백성들에게 하나님이 바라셨던 헌신이 떠올랐습니다. 하나님은 독특한 방법으로 이스라엘 백성들을 인도하셨습니다. 하나님의 임재하심이 구름으로 나타나, 구름이 떠오르면 그의 백성들이 다른 곳으로 이동하는 것을 원하셨습니다. 또 구름이 머물면 그들은 그 자리에 머물러야 했습니다. “그들이 여호와의 명령을 따라 진을 치며 여호와의 명령을 따라 행진하고”(민 9:23). 이스라엘백성들은 한 곳에 얼마나 머물러야 하는지는 상관하지 않고, 낮이나 밤이나 이 지시에 따랐습니다. 하나님은 단순히 이스라엘 백성들을 시험하신 것이 아니라 그들을 약속의 땅으로 인도하고 계셨습니다(10:29). 그분은 이스라엘백성들을 더 나은 곳으로 데려가고자 하신 것입니다. 오늘날 하나님이 우리더러 하나님을 따르라고 하실 때도 마찬가지입니다. 하나님은 우리가 하나님과 더 친밀하게 교제할 수 있는 곳으로 우리를 인도하고 싶어 하십니다. 하나님의 말씀은 하나님이 그분을 겸손히 따르는 자들을 사랑과 신실함으로 이끄신다는 것을 확신시켜줍니다.

God asks His children to follow the Leader.

Numbers 9:15-23

[15] Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire.
[16] So it was always: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
[17] Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, after that the children of Israel would journey; and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would pitch their tents.
[18] At the command of the LORD the children of Israel would journey, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud stayed above the tabernacle they remained encamped.
[19] Even when the cloud continued long, many days above the tabernacle, the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD and did not journey.
[20] So it was, when the cloud was above the tabernacle a few days: according to the command of the LORD they would remain encamped, and according to the command of the LORD they would journey.
[21] So it was, when the cloud remained only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they would journey; whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they would journey.
[22] Whether it was two days, a month, or a year that the cloud remained above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would remain encamped and not journey; but when it was taken up, they would journey.
[23] At the command of the LORD they remained encamped, and at the command of the LORD they journeyed; they kept the charge of the LORD, at the command of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

주의 힘을 입어 말씀 잘 배우고
주를 모시고 살아가세
주를 의지하며 항상 순종하면
주가 사랑해 주시리라

하나님은 자기 자녀들에게
지도자이신 주님을 따르라고 요구하신다.

민수기 9:15-23

[15] 성막을 세운 날에 구름이 성막 곧 증거의 성막을 덮었고 저녁이 되면 성막 위에 불 모양 같은 것이 나타나서 아침까지 이르렀으되
[16] 항상 그러하여 낮에는 구름이 그것을 덮었고 밤이면 불 모양이 있었는데
[17] 구름이 성막에서 떠오르는 때에는 이스라엘 자손이 곧 행진하였고 구름이 머무는 곳에 이스라엘 자손이 진을 쳤으니
[18] 이스라엘 자손이 여호와의 명령을 따라 행진하였고 여호와의 명령을 따라 진을 쳤으며 구름이 성막 위에 머무는 동안에는 그들이 진영에 머물렀고
[19] 구름이 성막 위에 머무는 날이 오랠 때에는 이스라엘 자손이 여호와의 명령을 지켜 행진하지 아니하였으며
[20] 혹시 구름이 성막 위에 머무는 날이 적을 때에도 그들이 다만 여호와의 명령을 따라 진영에 머물고 여호와의 명령을 따라 행진하였으며
[21] 혹시 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지 있다가 아침에 그 구름이 떠오를 때에는 그들이 행진하였고 구름이 밤낮 있다가 떠오르면 곧 행진하였으며
[22] 이틀이든지 한 달이든지 일 년이든지 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있을 동안에는 이스라엘 자손이 진영에 머물고 행진하지 아니하다가 떠오르면 행진하였으니
[23] 곧 그들이 여호와의 명령을 따라 진을 치며 여호와의 명령을 따라 행진하고 또 모세를 통하여 이르신 여호와의 명령을 따라 여호와의 직임을 지켰더라
