[ Mark 12:28 - 12:34 ] - hymn 315 Then one of the scribes came, and ... asked Him, ¡°Which is the first commandment of all?¡± — Mark 12:28 Few people take time to study the US Internal Revenue Service income tax regulations—and for good reason. According to Forbes magazine, in 2013 tax codes surpassed the four million-word mark. In fact, the tax laws have become so complex that even the experts have a hard time processing all the regulations. It¡¯s burdensome in its complexity. The religious leaders in ancient Israel did the same thing in their relationship with God. They made it too complex with laws. The growing burden of religious regulations had increased to the point where even an expert in Moses¡¯ law struggled to understand its core. When one such leader asked Jesus what mattered most in the Commandments, Jesus responded, ¡°¡®You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.¡¯ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ¡®You shall love your neighbor as yourself.¡¯ There is no other commandment greater than these¡±(Mark 12:30-31). The law of Moses was burdensome, but faith in Christ is simple and His ¡°burden is light¡± (Matt.11:30). It¡¯s light because God was willing to forgive us and love us. Now He enables us to love Him and our neighbor. — Bill Crowder		[ 마가복음 12:28 - 12:34 ] - 찬송가 315 장 서기관 중 한 사람이…나아와 묻되 모든 계명 중에 첫째가 무엇이니이까 - 마가복음 12:2 극히 소수의 사람만이 미국국세청의 소득세 규정을 숙독하는데, 거기에는 그럴 만한 이유가 있습니다. <포브스>잡지에 의하면 2013년도 세금법전의 설명서가 사백만 단어를 초과했다고 합니다. 사실 세법이 너무 복잡해져서 전문가들도 그 모든 규정들을 따르는데 힘들어합니다. 법이 복잡하여 무거운 짐이 되어버린 것입니다. 고대 이스라엘의 종교지도자들도 그들과 하나님과의 관계에 있어서 똑같은 잘못을 저질렀습니다. 그들은 율법을 내세워 하나님과의 관계를 너무 복잡하게 만들어버렸습니다. 종교규칙의 무거운 짐이 점차 증가하여 급기야 모세의 율법에 대한 전문가도 율법의 핵심을 이해하는 것이 힘들 지경이 되었습니다. 그런 종교지도자 중의 한 사람이 예수님에게 계명 중에 가장 중요한 것이 무엇이냐고 물었을 때, 예수님은 다음과 같이 대답하셨습니다. “첫째는 이것이니 이스라엘아 들으라 주 곧 우리 하나님은 유일한 주시라 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하고 힘을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하신 것이요 둘째는 이것이니 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 것이라 이보다 더 큰 계명이 없느니라”(막 12:29-31). 모세의 율법은 무거운 짐이었지만, 그리스도를 믿는 믿음은 단순하고 주님의 “짐은 가볍습니다”(마 11:30). 그것이 가벼운 이유는 하나님이 우리를 기꺼이 용서하셨고 또 사랑하셨기 때문입니다. 하나님은 이제 우리로 하여금 하나님을 사랑하고 이웃을 사랑할 수 있도록 힘을 주십니다.

I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me,
And purchased my pardon on Calvary¡¯s tree;
I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ¡¯tis now. — Featherstone

God¡¯s love in our heart gives us a heart for Him and others.

Mark 12:28-34

[28] Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?"
[29] Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
[30] 'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.
[31] "And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
[32] So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
[33] "And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."
[34] Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." But after that no one dared question Him.

주 날 사랑하사 구하시려고
저 십자가 고난 당하셨도다
그 가시관 쓰신 내 주 뵈오니
이전보다 더욱 사랑합니다

우리의 가슴속에 깃든 하나님의 사랑이
하나님과 이웃을 사랑하게 한다.

마가복음 12:28-34

[28] 서기관 중 한 사람이 그들이 변론하는 것을 듣고 예수께서 잘 대답하신 줄을 알고 나아와 묻되 모든 계명 중에 첫째가 무엇이니이까
[29] 예수께서 대답하시되 첫째는 이것이니 이스라엘아 들으라 주 곧 우리 하나님은 유일한 주시라
[30] 네 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고 뜻을 다하고 힘을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하라 하신 것이요
[31] 둘째는 이것이니 네 이웃을 네 자신과 같이 사랑하라 하신 것이라 이보다 더 큰 계명이 없느니라
[32] 서기관이 이르되 선생님이여 옳소이다 하나님은 한 분이시요 그 외에 다른 이가 없다 하신 말씀이 참이니이다
[33] 또 마음을 다하고 지혜를 다하고 힘을 다하여 하나님을 사랑하는 것과 또 이웃을 자기 자신과 같이 사랑하는 것이 전체로 드리는 모든 번제물과 기타 제물보다 나으니이다
[34] 예수께서 그가 지혜 있게 대답함을 보시고 이르시되 네가 하나님의 나라에서 멀지 않도다 하시니 그 후에 감히 묻는 자가 없더라
