City Of Refuge		도피성
[ Psalms 59:10 - 59:17 ] - hymn 415 I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. — Psalm 59:16 As we entered a town in Australia, we were greeted by a sign that declared: ¡°We welcome all who are seeking refuge and asylum.¡± This kind of welcome seems to resonate with the Old Testament concept of the cities of refuge. In the Old Testament era, cities of refuge (Num. 35:6) were established to be a safe haven for people who had accidentally killed someone and were needing protection. God had the people establish such cities to provide that refuge. This concept, however, was not intended to be simply a practice for ancient Israel. More than that, cities of refuge reflected the heart of God for all people. He Himself longs to be our safe haven and our city of refuge in the failures, heartaches, and losses of life. We read in Psalm 59:16-17, ¡°I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my God of mercy.¡± For the hurting heart of every generation, our ¡°city of refuge¡± is not a place. Our city of refuge is a Person—the God who loves us with an everlasting love. May we find our refuge and rest in Him. — Bill Crowder		[ 시편 59:10 - 59:17 ] - 찬송가 415 장 나는 주의 힘을 노래하며 아침에 주의 인자하심을 높이 부르오리니 주는 나의 요새이시며 나의 환난 날에 피난처심이니이다 - 시편 59:16 우리가 호주의 어느 마을로 들어서는데, 입구에 있는 간판에 다음과 같은 글이 적혀 있었습니다. “피난처와 보호시설을 찾는 모든 사람들을 환영합니다.” 이와 같은 환영은 구약에서 나오는 도피성의 개념과 비슷한 것 같습니다. 구약시대에는 도피성(민 35:6)을 세워서 실수로 살인하여 보호받아야 할 사람들을 위해 안전한 피난처를 제공하였습니다. 하나님은 사람들로 하여금 그 같은 도피성을 지어 피난처를 제공하게 하셨던 것입니다. 그러나 이 개념은 단지 고대 이스라엘사람들에게만 적용하려는 의도는 아니었습니다. 사실 도피성은 그것 이상으로 모든 사람들에 대한 하나님의 마음을 반영하는 것이었습니다. 하나님은 인생의 실패와 상심, 혹은 상실로부터 우리의 피난처와 도피성이 되기를 그분 스스로 간절히 바라십니다. 시편 59:16-17은 다음과 같이 기술하고 있습니다. “나는 주의 힘을 노래하며 아침에 주의 인자하심을 높이 부르오리니 주는 나의 요새이시며 나의 환난 날에 피난처심이니이다 나의 힘이시여 내가 주께 찬송하오리니 하나님은 나의 요새이시며 나를 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님이심이니이다.” 모든 세대의 상처받은 심령을 위한 우리의 “도피성”은 어떤 장소가 아닙니다. 우리의 도피성은 그분, 곧 끝없는 사랑으로 우리를 사랑하시는 하나님이십니다. 우리의 피난처와 안식을 하나님 안에서 찾으시기를 바랍니다.

How oft in the conflict, when pressed by the foe,
I have fled to my Refuge and breathed out my woe;
How often, when trials like sea billows roll,
Have I hidden in Thee, O Thou Rock of my soul. — Cushing

Refuge can be found in the Rock of Ages.

Psalm 59:10-17

[10] My God of mercy shall come to meet me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies.
[11] Do not slay them, lest my people forget; Scatter them by Your power, And bring them down, O Lord our shield.
[12] For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for the cursing and lying which they speak.
[13] Consume them in wrath, consume them, That they may not be; And let them know that God rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah
[14] And at evening they return, They growl like a dog, And go all around the city.
[15] They wander up and down for food, And howl if they are not satisfied.
[16] But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble.
[17] To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.

전투에서 적들에게 공격받을 때
얼마나 자주 나의 피난처로 달려가 비통함을 내뱉었던가
시련들이 큰 바다물결같이 몰아칠 때
얼마나 자주 내 영혼의 반석이신 주님 안에 몸을 숨겼던가

피난처는 만세반석이신 예수님 안에서 찾을 수 있다.

시편 59:10-17

[10] 나의 하나님이 그의 인자하심으로 나를 영접하시며 하나님이 나의 원수가 보응 받는 것을 내가 보게 하시리이다
[11] 그들을 죽이지 마옵소서 나의 백성이 잊을까 하나이다 우리 방패 되신 주여 주의 능력으로 그들을 흩으시고 낮추소서
[12] 그들의 입술의 말은 곧 그들의 입의 죄라 그들이 말하는 저주와 거짓말로 말미암아 그들이 그 교만한 중에서 사로잡히게 하소서
[13] 진노하심으로 소멸하시되 없어지기까지 소멸하사 하나님이 야곱 중에서 다스리심을 땅 끝까지 알게 하소서 (셀라)
[14] 그들에게 저물어 돌아와서 개처럼 울며 성으로 두루 다니게 하소서
[15] 그들은 먹을 것을 찾아 유리하다가 배부름을 얻지 못하면 밤을 새우려니와
[16] 나는 주의 힘을 노래하며 아침에 주의 인자하심을 높이 부르오리니 주는 나의 요새이시며 나의 환난 날에 피난처심이니이다
[17] 나의 힘이시여 내가 주께 찬송하오리니 하나님은 나의 요새이시며 나를 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님이심이니이다
