Just As I Am		내 모습 이대로
[ Isaiah 55:1 - 55:7 ] - hymn 282 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live. — Isaiah 55:3 Good memories flooded my mind as I sat in a concert. The group¡¯s leader had just introduced the song they were about to sing: ¡°Just As I Am.¡± I remembered how years ago at the end of his sermons my pastor would ask people to come forward while we sang that song, indicating they would like to receive the forgiveness Christ offers for their sins. But the leader of the musical group at the concert suggested another occasion when we might sing this song. He commented that he likes to think that when he dies and goes to meet the Lord one day, he will sing in thanks to Him: Just as I am, without one plea But that Thy blood was shed for me, And that Thou bidd¡¯st me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come! Years before writing this song, Charlotte Elliott asked a minister how she might find the Lord. He told her, ¡°Just come to Him as you are.¡± She did, and later during a discouraging time of illness, she wrote this hymn about the day she came to Christ and He forgave her sin. In His Word, the Lord encourages us to seek Him: ¡°Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near¡±(Isa.55:6). He calls to our hearts: ¡°Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters .... Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live¡±(vv.1,3). Because of Jesus¡¯ death and resurrection, we can come to Him right now and will one day go into eternity to be with Him forever. Just as I am ... I come! — Anne Cetas		[ 이사야 55:1 - 55:7 ] - 찬송가 282 장 너희는 귀를 기울이고 내게로 나아와 들으라 그리하면 너희의 영혼이 살리라 - 이사야 55:3 연주회에 앉아 있는 동안 좋은 추억들이 가슴에 밀려왔습니다. 연주회 그룹의 리더는 다음에 부를 곡 “내 모습 이대로(큰 죄에 빠진 날 위해)”에 대하여 막 소개를 시작하였습니다. 여러 해 전에 우리 교회 목사님은 설교를 마친 후 이 찬송을 부를 때마다, 교인들에게 자신들의 죄를 용서하시는 그리스도의 용서를 받아들인다는 뜻으로 앞으로 나올 것을 권하곤 했었습니다. 그러나 그 음악그룹의 리더는 다른 상황을 생각하며 이 찬송을 부르는 것이 어떻겠느냐고 제의하였습니다. 그는 죽어서 주님을 만날 그날에 대하여 생각하기를 좋아한다고 말하면서, 그날에 주님께 감사하며 이 찬송을 부를 것이라고 했습니다. `큰 죄에 빠진 날 위해 주 보혈 흘려주시고 또 나를 오라 하시니 주께로 거저 갑니다. 샬롯 엘리어트는 이 찬송을 작사하기 오래 전에, 목사에게 어떻게 하면 주님을 만날 수 있는지를 물었습니다. 그 목사는 “당신의 지금 모습 그대로 주님께 나아오십시오.”라고 말했습니다. 그녀는 그렇게 했습니다. 나중에 그녀가 병들어 낙심되었을 때, 예수님께 나아와 자신의 죄를 용서 받은 그날을 생각하며 이 찬송을 작사하였습니다. 성경말씀에서 주님은 우리에게 하나님을 찾으라고 격려하고 있습니다. “너희는 여호와를 만날 만한 때에 찾으라 가까이 계실 때에 그를 부르라”(사 55:6). 하나님은 우리의 마음에 호소하십니다. “너희 모든 목마른 자들아 물로 나아오라…너희는 귀를 기울이고 내게로 나아와 들으라 그리하면 너희의 영혼이 살리라”(1, 3절). 예수님의 죽음과 부활로 인하여 우리는 바로 지금 주님께로 나아갈 수 있으며, 언젠가는 주님과 함께 영원토록 영생을 누리게 될 것입니다. 내 모습 이대로… 주님께 나아갑니다!

Isaiah 55:1-7

[1] "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price.
[2] Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
[3] Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you--The sure mercies of David.
[4] Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people.
[5] Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the LORD your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you."
[6] Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.
[7] Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

큰 죄에 빠진 날 위해
주 보혈 흘려주시고
또 나를 오라 하시니
주께로 거저 갑니다.

목마른 자도 올 것이요 또 원하는 자는 값없이

이사야 55:1-7

[1] 오호라 너희 모든 목마른 자들아 물로 나아오라 돈 없는 자도 오라 너희는 와서 사 먹되 돈 없이, 값 없이 와서 포도주와 젖을 사라
[2] 너희가 어찌하여 양식이 아닌 것을 위하여 은을 달아 주며 배부르게 하지 못할 것을 위하여 수고하느냐 내게 듣고 들을지어다 그리하면 너희가 좋은 것을 먹을 것이며 너희 자신들이 기름진 것으로 즐거움을 얻으리라
[3] 너희는 귀를 기울이고 내게로 나아와 들으라 그리하면 너희의 영혼이 살리라 내가 너희를 위하여 영원한 언약을 맺으리니 곧 다윗에게 허락한 확실한 은혜이니라
[4] 보라 내가 그를 만민에게 증인으로 세웠고 만민의 인도자와 명령자로 삼았나니
[5] 보라 네가 알지 못하는 나라를 네가 부를 것이며 너를 알지 못하는 나라가 네게로 달려올 것은 여호와 네 하나님 곧 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이로 말미암음이니라 이는 그가 너를 영화롭게 하였느니라
[6] 너희는 여호와를 만날 만한 때에 찾으라 가까이 계실 때에 그를 부르라
[7] 악인은 그의 길을, 불의한 자는 그의 생각을 버리고 여호와께로 돌아오라 그리하면 그가 긍휼히 여기시리라 우리 하나님께로 돌아오라 그가 너그럽게 용서하시리라
