True Loyalty		참된 충성
[ 2 Corinthians 11:23 - 11:31 ] - hymn 330 If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. — 2 Corinthians 11:30 By one estimate, more than 14 trillion frequent-flyer miles have been accumulated by people worldwide. It all started in the early 1980s, when airlines began the first frequent-flyer programs to encourage repeat business by rewarding customers for their loyalty. Accumulated miles could be redeemed for free travel, goods, and services, so it wasn¡¯t long before people began planning their travel based as much on personal reward as on price or schedule. The apostle Paul was an avid first-century traveler, but he wasn¡¯t in it for the ¡°frequent-sailor miles.¡± His goal was to reach as many people as he could with the good news of forgiveness and eternal life through faith in Jesus. When some people in the city of Corinth questioned his authority, he wrote a letter describing the price he had paid to bring the gospel to others: ¡°Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep¡±(2 Cor.11:25). God gave Paul the grace and endurance to risk his life to tell people about Jesus with no thought of personal gain. Our loyalty to Jesus grows from His love for us.

2 Corinthians 11:23-31

[23] Are they ministers of Christ?--I speak as a fool--I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often.
[24] From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.
[25] Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;
[26] in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
[27] in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness--
[28] besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches.
[29] Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?
[30] If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.
[31] The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.

주님, 나는 주님의 것, 그 뜻하는 바를 내게 모두 가르쳐주소서.
주님께 거리낌 없이 순종하는 가운데
그것이 뜻하는 사랑과 충성, 그리고
완전하고 기쁨에 찬 거룩한 섬김을 포함한 그 모든 것들을!

예수님에 대한 우리의 충성은
우리를 향한 그분의 사랑으로부터 자라난다.

고린도후서 11:23-31

[23] 그들이 그리스도의 일꾼이냐 정신 없는 말을 하거니와 나는 더욱 그러하도다 내가 수고를 넘치도록 하고 옥에 갇히기도 더 많이 하고 매도 수없이 맞고 여러 번 죽을 뻔하였으니
[24] 유대인들에게 사십에서 하나 감한 매를 다섯 번 맞았으며
[25] 세 번 태장으로 맞고 한 번 돌로 맞고 세 번 파선하고 일 주야를 깊은 바다에서 지냈으며
[26] 여러 번 여행하면서 강의 위험과 강도의 위험과 동족의 위험과 이방인의 위험과 시내의 위험과 광야의 위험과 바다의 위험과 거짓 형제 중의 위험을 당하고
[27] 또 수고하며 애쓰고 여러 번 자지 못하고 주리며 목마르고 여러 번 굶고 춥고 헐벗었노라
[28] 이 외의 일은 고사하고 아직도 날마다 내 속에 눌리는 일이 있으니 곧 모든 교회를 위하여 염려하는 것이라
[29] 누가 약하면 내가 약하지 아니하며 누가 실족하게 되면 내가 애타지 아니하더냐
[30] 내가 부득불 자랑할진대 내가 약한 것을 자랑하리라
[31] 주 예수의 아버지 영원히 찬송할 하나님이 내가 거짓말 아니하는 것을 아시느니라
