Look To The Hills		산을 바라보라
[ Psalms 121:1 - 121:8 ] - hymn 71 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. — Psalm 121:1-2 Atop Corcovado Mountain overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, stands Christ the Redeemer, one of the tallest statues of Christ in the world. Standing 30 meters tall, with arms spreading 28 meters, this sculpture weighs 635 metric tons. It can be seen day or night from almost anywhere in the city. One look to the hills brings this figure of Christ the Redeemer into view. The New Testament tells us that Christ is not only the Redeemer, but He is also the Creator of the universe, and that Creator is in view in Psalm 121. There the psalmist challenges us to lift our eyes to the hills to see God, for our ¡°help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth¡±(vv.1-2). He alone is sufficient to be our strength and to guide our steps as we make our way through a dangerous and troubled world. We lift our eyes to the One who keeps us (v.3), guards us (vv.5-6), and overshadows us in the face of all types of danger. He preserves us from evil and keeps us safely in His care for all eternity (vv.7-8). In faith, we lift our eyes to the One who is our Redeemer and Creator. He is our help and our hope and our eternal home. — Bill Crowder		[ 시편 121:1 - 121:8 ] - 찬송가 71 장 내가 산을 향하여 눈을 들리라 나의 도움이 어디서 올까 나의 도움은 천지를 지으신 여호와에게서로다 - 시편 121:1-2 브라질의 도시 리우데자네이루가 내려다보이는 코르코바두 산 정상에는 세상에서 가장 키가 큰 예수 조각상 중의 하나인 ‘구주 그리스도상’이 서있습니다. 높이가 30미터, 펼친 양팔의 길이가 28미터, 무게가 635톤에 달하는 이 조각상은 밤이건 낮이건 시내 거의 어디에서나 볼 수 있습니다. 산을 바라보면 ‘구주 그리스도상’이 시야에 들어오기 때문입니다. 신약성경은 그리스도께서 구주이실 뿐만 아니라 우주의 창조주임을 말하고 있는데, 그 창조주의 모습을 시편 121편을 통해서 볼 수 있습니다. 시편기자는 거기서 우리의 “도움은 천지를 지으신 여호와에게서”(1-2절) 오기 때문에 하나님을 보기 위해 우리의 눈을 들어 산을 보라고 말합니다. 우리가 위험하고 풍파 많은 세상을 헤쳐 나갈 때, 오직 하나님만이 우리에게 넉넉히 힘이 되어주시고 우리의 발걸음을 인도해주시는 분이십니다. 우리를 실족하지 않게 하시며(3절), 지키시고(5-6절), 모든 위험 앞에서도 그늘이 되어주시는 주님을 향하여 눈을 듭시다. 주님은 지금부터 영원까지 우리를 죄악으로부터 지켜주시며, 주님의 보호 속에 우리를 안전하게 지켜주십니다(7-8절). 믿음 안에서 우리는 구주이시며 창조주이신 주님을 향하여 눈을 듭시다. 주님은 우리의 도움이시며 소망이시고 영원한 안식처이십니다.

Psalm 121:1-8

[1] A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills--From whence comes my help?
[2] My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
[3] He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
[4] Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
[5] The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
[6] The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
[7] The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
[8] The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

이 세상 풍파 중에도
늘 보호하시리
