Navigating The Storm		폭풍 속을 항해하기
[ Psalms 107:23 - 107:32 ] - hymn 337 He commands and raises the stormy wind, ... and He brings them out of their distresses. — Psalm 107:25,28 The ancient people of the nation of Axum (located on the Red Sea in modern Ethiopia) discovered that the stormy winds of the monsoon season could be harnessed by sail for speedy navigation. Rather than dreading the high winds and rains, they learned how to navigate their way through the storm. Psalm 107 provides a wonderful word picture of how God allows storms to come our way, and then provides help for us to navigate through them. ¡°He commands and raises the stormy wind, ... and He brings them out of their distresses¡±(Ps.107:25,28). Trusting God for guidance in troubled times is a biblical theme. Hebrews 11 lists many who used their problems as an opportunity to exercise faith and to experience God¡¯s grace, provision, and deliverance: ¡°Who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, [and] out of weakness were made strong¡±(vv.33-34). Stormy circumstances are inevitable. Although our first reaction may be to run from the problem, we can instead ask God to teach us how to trust Him to navigate us through the storm.		[ 시편 107:23 - 107:32 ] - 찬송가 337 장 여호와께서 명령하신즉 광풍이 일어나…[여호와께서] 고통에서 그들을 인도하여 내시고 - 시편 107:25,28 악숨(현재 에티오피아 지역의 홍해쪽에 위치해 있었던 나라)의 고대사람들은 우기에 광풍이 불 때 돛을 이용하여 더 빨리 항해할 수 있음을 알게 되었습니다. 그들은 강한 비바람을 두려워하기보다는 오히려 폭풍을 뚫고 항해하는 법을 배웠던 것입니다. 시편 107편은 하나님께서 우리의 길에 어떻게 광풍을 허락하시는지 그리고 우리가 그 광풍 사이로 항해하는데 어떻게 도움을 주시는지 너무나 잘 묘사하고 있습니다. “여호와께서 명령하신즉 광풍이 일어나… 그가 그들의 고통에서 그들을 인도하여 내시고”(시 107:25,28). 어려울 때 인도받기 위해 하나님을 신뢰하는 것, 이것은 성경의 한 주제이기도 합니다. 히브리서 11장은 문제를 만났을 때 그것으로 믿음을 연단하고, 하나님의 은혜, 베푸심, 구원을 경험하는 기회로 삼았던 여러 사람들을 열거하고 있습니다. “그들은 믿음으로 나라들을 이기기도 하며 의를 행하기도 하며 약속을 받기도 하며 사자들의 입을 막기도 하며 불의 세력을 멸하기도 하며 칼날을 피하기도 하며 연약한 가운데서 강하게 되기도 하며”(33-34절). 폭풍이 몰아치는 상황은 피할 수가 없습니다. 그러한 때 비록 우리의 첫 반응이 문제로부터 도망치는 것일 수도 있습니다만 우리는 그 대신 폭풍을 뚫고 나가기 위해 어떻게 하나님을 신뢰할지를 가르쳐달라고 하나님께 간구하여야 하겠습니다.

Better to go through the storm with Christ than to have smooth sailing without Him.

Psalm 107:23-32

[23] Others went out on the sea in ships; they were merchants on the mighty waters.
[24] They saw the works of the LORD, his wonderful deeds in the deep.
[25] For he spoke and stirred up a tempest that lifted high the waves.
[26] They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths; in their peril their courage melted away.
[27] They reeled and staggered like drunken men; they were at their wits' end.
[28] Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.
[29] He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed.
[30] They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.
[31] Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men.
[32] Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the council of the elders.

삶이 고통과 아픔의 요란한 파도와 함께
폭풍우에 요동치는 바다와 같이 느껴질 때
주님께로 향하고 주님을 신뢰하라
주님께서 평안을 주시고 안식으로 이끄시리라

그리스도와 함께 광풍을 통과하는 것이
주님 없이 평안히 항해하는 것보다 낫다.

시편 107:23-32

[23] 배들을 바다에 띄우며 큰 물에서 일을 하는 자는
[24] 여호와께서 행하신 일들과 그의 기이한 일들을 깊은 바다에서 보나니
[25] 여호와께서 명령하신즉 광풍이 일어나 바다 물결을 일으키는도다
[26] 그들이 하늘로 솟구쳤다가 깊은 곳으로 내려가나니 그 위험 때문에 그들의 영혼이 녹는도다
[27] 그들이 이리저리 구르며 취한 자 같이 비틀거리니 그들의 모든 지각이 혼돈 속에 빠지는도다
[28] 이에 그들이 그들의 고통 때문에 여호와께 부르짖으매 그가 그들의 고통에서 그들을 인도하여 내시고
[29] 광풍을 고요하게 하사 물결도 잔잔하게 하시는도다
[30] 그들이 평온함으로 말미암아 기뻐하는 중에 여호와께서 그들이 바라는 항구로 인도하시는도다
[31] 여호와의 인자하심과 인생에게 행하신 기적으로 말미암아 그를 찬송할지로다
[32] 백성의 모임에서 그를 높이며 장로들의 자리에서 그를 찬송할지로다
