[ Acts 1:1 - 1:11 ] - hymn 502 You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. — Acts 1:8 The fifth book of the New Testament, the Acts of the Apostles, records the beginnings of the Christian church under the leadership of the people Jesus had appointed. Some scholars have suggested that this book could also be called the Acts of the Holy Spirit, because the Spirit¡¯s power supplied courage for the apostles in the face of every hardship. Just before Jesus was taken up into heaven, He told the ones He had chosen: ¡°You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth¡±(Acts 1:8). With those words, one chapter in the story of God¡¯s work on earth ended, and a new one began. We are a part of that ongoing story. The book of Acts describes the faithful witness of Peter, John, Barnabas, Paul, Dorcas, Lydia, and many others during the early days of the church. These ordinary people depended on God to give them strength as they spread His Word and demonstrated His love. That story continues through us. As we trust God and obey His direction to make Jesus known, He writes through us new pages in His story of redemption.		[ 사도행전 1:1 - 1:11 ] - 찬송가 502 장 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 - 사도행전 1:8 신약성경의 다섯 번째 책인 사도행전은 예수님이 지명하신 사도들의 지도 아래 기독교 교회가 시작된 일을 기록하고 있습니다. 사도들이 성령의 힘을 통해 당면한 모든 어려움을 이길 수 있는 용기를 얻었다는 점을 들어, 어떤 학자들은 이 책이 성령행전이라고 불릴 수도 있다고 제안했습니다. 예수님이 하늘로 들려 올라가시기 직전 당신이 택한 제자들에게 “오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라”(행 1:8)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 이 말씀으로써 하나님이 이 땅에서 하신 사역의 한 장이 끝나고 새로운 장이 시작되었습니다. 우리는 현재 진행 중인 그 이야기의 일부입니다. 사도행전은 베드로, 요한, 바나바, 바울, 도르가, 루디아, 그리고 그 외에 초대교회의 많은 사람들의 신실한 증언을 기록하고 있습니다. 이 평범한 사람들이 하나님의 말씀을 전파하고 하나님의 사랑을 증거할 때, 그들은 하나님을 의지하여 힘을 얻었습니다. 그 이야기는 우리를 통해서 계속되고 있습니다. 우리가 하나님을 신뢰하며 예수님을 알리라고 하신 하나님의 명령에 순종할 때, 하나님은 우리를 통해 하나님의 구속의 이야기의 새로운 장을 기록해가십니다.

Acts 1:1-11

[1] In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach
[2] until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.
[3] After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
[4] On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about.
[5] For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
[6] So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?"
[7] He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
[8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
[9] After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
[10] They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
[11] "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

은혜의 성령님, 돕고 치유하기 위해 제 말을 사용하소서
대담하든 유순하든, 제 행동이 주님을 말하게 하소서
제 삶을 통하여 다른 이들에게 주님의 삶을 보여줌으로
그것이 주님께 기쁨이 되게 하소서

[1] 데오빌로여 내가 먼저 쓴 글에는 무릇 예수께서 행하시며 가르치시기를 시작하심부터
[2] 그가 택하신 사도들에게 성령으로 명하시고 승천하신 날까지의 일을 기록하였노라
[3] 그가 고난 받으신 후에 또한 그들에게 확실한 많은 증거로 친히 살아 계심을 나타내사 사십 일 동안 그들에게 보이시며 하나님 나라의 일을 말씀하시니라
[4] 사도와 함께 모이사 그들에게 분부하여 이르시되 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 내게서 들은 바 아버지께서 약속하신 것을 기다리라
[5] 요한은 물로 침례를 베풀었으나 너희는 몇 날이 못되어 성령으로 침례를 받으리라 하셨느니라
[6] 그들이 모였을 때에 예수께 여쭈어 이르되 주께서 이스라엘 나라를 회복하심이 이 때니이까 하니
[7] 이르시되 때와 시기는 아버지께서 자기의 권한에 두셨으니 너희가 알 바 아니요
[8] 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라
[9] 이 말씀을 마치시고 그들이 보는데 올려져 가시니 구름이 그를 가리어 보이지 않게 하더라
[10] 올라가실 때에 제자들이 자세히 하늘을 쳐다보고 있는데 흰 옷 입은 두 사람이 그들 곁에 서서
[11] 이르되 갈릴리 사람들아 어찌하여 서서 하늘을 쳐다보느냐 너희 가운데서 하늘로 올려지신 이 예수는 하늘로 가심을 본 그대로 오시리라 하였느니라
